Rooms although slightly tired was comfortable and spacious
The pool was closed and under renovation and my room was facing the pool so jack hammers from 8 in the morning.the sauna was closed. The reception would not give out the wifi code you had to go to your room and there where only 2 out of 3 lifts working and as this hotel is popular with Chinese who think it's there right to hold the lift for 10 minutes while the rest of there party arrives makes it difficult to get to your room as we where on the 10th floor.... Never again if in chiang mai
Looked like it was a splendid hotel when opened. They picked us from airport. Am going back in Nov 2015 with family but definitely not booking here...theres no privacy really..too crowded with people. This hotel suits buisness people here for meetings and conferences.
Too busy and crowded as theres lots of events in the place. False advert...says that it has balcony but does not! No place for smokers. Washing was folded wet. Stingy...they dont offer complimentary transport to city Cleaning very poor there was rubbish on floor and towels not changed. I have been liaising with Booking .com on some of these issues from the day I checked in!
the rooms were dark . windows did not open. smell of smokers in the room. carpet was smelly and bed linen was damp. Overall i moved back to my previous hotel and paid for two nights at this one because of the booking conditions. I actually was moved to 5 rooms alternative rooms until i finally decided that i was better off at the previous 3 star hotel. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT for me!! Seasoned traveller with a centurion card (black amex) so not a newcomer to hotels... avoid at all costs.
Location, the middle of town and by a shopping centre. Smart hotel.
Lifts were awful! Wifi was good but you had to swap connections and log in a lot. Pool was randomly closed and the gym was basic
Very large room. Free entertainment in bar. Cavernous place which would have been very impressive back in the 80s
The hotel is very tired and despite the photos on Booking.com the pool is out of action being refurbished - no work appeared to be going on in August and the pool closed at the end of June. Wifi didn't work and the promised engineer didn't arrive. Just gives the impression of a hotel that doesn't really care for its guests.
Very Grand Hotel Fantastic gym on site Good breakfast
Swimming pool was not operational, being refurbished. Location was a little out the way
The location is the only reason to choose this hotel. Connected to Kad Suan Kaew shopping mall which has ATMs, pharmacy, supermarket, along with other shops, restaurants and movie theater. Mountain view is great, if you get to be on that side. Swimming pool would have been nice but it was under renovation during my visit. The room is spacious.
This hotel needs a major serious renovation. Bathroom looks old. Linens and towels are clean but old/tired. TV looks like it has not changed since the 1980s. Very weak almost not usable wifi. No tea/coffee making facility. No hair dryer in the room (you have to ask for it). No slippers, no bathrobes, and the least convenient was absence of a safety box in the room. They need to invest in updating the rooms.
The hotel is self contained. A major shopping is just next door to hotel. Just on the fringe of the city center. The rooms are very large and practical design.
The hotel looked great from the outside. Big and fancy looking makes you think this place has to be great.
When we walked in we thought the hotel was beautiful. The staff gave us our key and sent us to our room. We specifically had to ask for the wi-fi and extra info. The only item they seemed to be worried about was telling us that if we lost the key we would have to pay for it. The hotel also did not inform us that the pool was being renovated until we asked then they gave us confusing directions to another hotel for pool use which was about a 15 minute walk from this hotel. Which was not worth walking to. Our room seemed a bit untidy and still had trash from the previous person in it. The room key/cardboard cutout of the date of stay of the previous guests was still on the nightstand. They had requested to switch rooms and this hotel put us in the room they did not want. When we went back downstairs to tell them we would like to switch rooms they were not helpful at all. Long story short, we ended up being forced to stay in a corner room, that had problems logging onto their internet and a bath tub that leaked onto the bathroom floor since they did not want to switch our room though we complained. Most of the electrical switches did not work and we were unable to charge all of our electronic items at once. The worst thing though was coming to the hotel late at night and having the staff open the door for you and watch you wait for the elevator to come for 10 minutes. When we realized it wasnt coming we walked back up to the late night staff to ask, it was only then that they explained that after a certain time, you have to use the employee service elevator in the back to go up. Last but not least, the hotel has music that goes on past midnight that we heard loud and clear in our rooms all night. It's hard to sleep even when you are so high up and supposedly away from the noise. Overall, this hotel is not a place i would reccomend anyone stay in.
The rooms are very old. The location is not near center. The cleaniness of the room was not great.
Wifi is the weakest in this modern and technical world. The poorestwifi. the wifi equal to nothing and useless.
They did not tell me the pool was out of service even though I asked. they did not pick me up at the airport even though I had arranged ahead.
The staffs there were very nice and helpful.
The isolation in the room was not so good, we often heard other room's noise.
Location to Central Suan Kaew shopping centre and public transport.
My bed wasn't made for 2 days and the cleanliness of the room service left a lot to be desired.
1) Maintenance staff prompt service. 2) Staff able to converse in English
1) Room was without electric kettle; hair dryer; chair-base rotten and 'ashes' dropping. Towels very old. 2) Paying 1600 THB for the night with poor facilities was a disappointment. 3) Chinese male guests walked along corridor with just an under-wear. It as a disgusting sight. 4) Getting to the nearby convenient store alone was scary as one has to walk through the quiet car-park.
Free upgrade was very nice. Breakfast was good.
The power went off several times.
Comfortable reception area. Large bedroom.
Wi-fi very poor. Hotel is not on a main road and outside lighting is poor. Towels are in need of replacement.
Location is excellent. Adjacent to a large mall. On a main street with good access to the old city and also the University (and the zoo and Doi Suthep). Room had a nice view of the medical center and the city all the way to the mountains.
There are numerous hotel options, so the price was a bit high in comparison to other options.
Room and hotel lobby are really beautiful. Very cozy bed and amazing view from a big window. Nice and big swimming pool.
The window doesn't open, though it's not very necessary as the aircon works well.
Location is not bad. Room is quite big and very thai-style. The rate is reasonable.
The room is too old, the bed was so uncomfortable, especially the bedding, felt unclean and a little bit wet. Moreover, the wifi at night was just rubbish. I could not connect to the internet at all.
Poor Breakfast options. Old Toilet Rundown and dark. Faulty Lifts. Gym that was never open or equipped properly.
The hotel facilities are worn out, poor cleanliness, towels are dirty, wifi is very slow, elevators need to be repaired, and the TV in room does not work.
big rooms. breakfast was very good many choices. the centre commercial at level one is a plus and direct access to bars and restaurants etc... the center town is not far but with taxis (20 to 30 baths / pers) everybody speaks english. very good hotel and not so much expensive for a 4 star hotel.. big and clean swimming pool..
Closed to shopping centre, closed to town. big room & big bed. Nice pool. Good breakfast but cups not cleaned properly.
Unstable wifi, everything is aged.
