Maybe I am being prejudiced, but after visiting all major Ukrainian cities I must conclude that in my, highly subjective opinion Vinnitsa has not got any unique landmarks truly worth visiting unless you go there for business or personal reasons. Yes, you can go and watch the color fountain in the evening, but you can watch it on YouTube, and there are plenty of similar fountains worldwide. The same applies to the museum of retro technology. It is good, but there are quite a number of such museums around the world. Other "official" landmarks are not worth visiting, imho, be it cathedrals in the city centre (nothing too original or unique) or the remnants of the old city wall.

Vinnitsa is nice to visit for those who were born there and experience nostalgia. Otherwise - there is nothing to do there. The food is overrated. There are no family restaurants that I could find on Google (with authentic food). Those we did go to are a parody.

It is a very nice city. After dark you must! visit the Multimedia Fountains (known as Roshen Fountains). During the day, the Central Park is good in the summer, especially if you travel with kids. Bad area around train station. Pollution. People do not speak English at all. nothing interesting to see or do. I didn't see any fountains as i heard. but a safe city, you don't get many drunk or thieves walking buy, some people leave their belongings and phones and go to toilet :D
