Room was nice Wine and cheese in the afternoon was very pleasant continental breakfast was cool Lobby and Halls elegant
Tv could have been upgraded
Loved the cheese and wine offered in the late afternoon!
Bed wasn't too comfortable
The team let me keep my bags over after my check in. This was very helpful for me
The team didnt help me to get a shuttle to go to San Jose
WiFi was terrible, had a lot of trouble using it.
Eclectic hotel with charm! Friendly staff!
Love the location...breakfast lovely and happy hour is truly happy!
The wine and cheese in the afternoon
There isn't microwave oven
The location the room with jacuzzi and small kithchen the lobby style of furniture and the staff
The staff, charm and ambience of the hotel
Very well located, close to Union Square Building architecture is nice
Room not isolated from inside sound Poor breakfast No wifi in the room Small TV screen
excellent choice for the dollar value
The location was just one block away from my daughters AA dorm. Both locations of beresfird were friendly and accommodating with breakfast at either location. their hhour was adequate. Their doormen were friendly and helpful.
Their wifi in the rooms very very weak! Their continental breakfast is adequate but not served in an appetizing way.. (Fruit is in the delivery bin) the trash bins always overflowing near the coffee area. No room service or gym. The gentleman at reception very friendly but the lady at the reception very antagonistic. The lobby seating awkward with chairs all around the peri feral...only a few tables. No music and deathly quiet at times ...
Staff was kind & helpful, room clean, good location - short walk to union square. Close to tenderloin, so we asked staff the best routes to walk to various locations in the area and had no problems. Would stay here again.
NOISE FROM STREET AT NIGHT
clean rooms old but nice
a liitle noisy
wine treat in the afternoon
Location and the staff
Wifi was terrible .. Very weak signal .. On a trip nowadays it is important to have a reliable wifi connect..
This hotel is only a little more dear than the other inexpensive hotels on Post. But the rooms are WAY bigger. The facilities are nicer (the bathrooms in particular have nice showers). And there was free wine and crackers. Very nice staff.
I got room 406 which is for someone that uses a wheelchair. The shower thus was a roll-in. Prefer not to have this type in future.
Breakfast in the morning and wine cheese for the evening
The hotel was convenient where we could walk to go eat and shop.
Even though it was free WiFi it didn't work in the room or in the Lobby.
Quaint older hotel, SF flavor, close to Union Square & transportation
"Breakfast" was really coffee, fruit &danish. No juice for kids. Couldn't connect to WiFi in room or in lobby.
I loved that the hotel is located near many drop off locations for the BART system and any point of interest is twenty minutes away at most.
Customer service throughout the city is brisk, at best. While the hotel is in a great position to act as home base, it's proximity to the Tenderloin makes foot travel after sundown a bit dodgy. I highly recommend using the bus or taxi to get to and from the hotel. Walking is only reccommended in groups.
evenings with wine and cheese, good location
Really bad WiFi everywhere, for breakfast only croissants, muffins and pieces of watermelon, smelly carpets, drain of bathtub didn't work properly
I liked the location, the staff and the older feel of the hotel.
The toilet seat was dirty (even had a "sanitized for your protection" ribbon wrapped around it) and the spa tub had hair in it. Just didn't feel very clean after finding those two things.
Large and very comfortable rooms with kitchen, large beds, lots of furniture (wardrobe, writing desk, chest of drawers etc.). Big bathroom. Generally, the room was OK. Happy hours in the lobby (with wine and cheese). The staff was OK.
The wifi was horrible, extremely slow connection (around 2-3 KB/s, literally). The breakfast was also poor (some sweet rolls/muffins and coffee).
