Small dated bathroom
This hotel staff, location, and room was incredible. We had a fantastic, care-free stay and were able to enjoy our weekend vacation without any complications. We had a great time and will certainly be returning.
Location was good. Great Value.
The hotel smells the minute you walk in. It is an old hotel. The smell seems to be coming from the old carpet. The rooms are really small with no air conditioner.
Although our room view was of an alley, the overall location was good. The property is a little run down, but it's so convenient and affordably priced.
The free breakfast is sugar and carbs. There is a diner a block and a half away.
Location is great. Amenities are far from new but were very clean. Staff was helpful and breakfast (although nothing fancy at all) was doable.
Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything in the halls. I was fine in the room, but I honestly am not sure if my 6'5" husband could fit in the bed or bathroom.
room was by the elevator so it got annoying
close to union square
Room smelled musty, old hotel with old heating. View from room was an alley and if shades were up someone across could see inside my room. Person greeting me was a bit rude.
The bed was really comfy, and everything was very cleaned, the room was smal but it's normal... The wi fi worked very well.
There were too much noise coming from pipes (showers from other floors and from the heating) so after 6:30 was impossible to sleep in there! Also the toilet has a window witch wasn't' a window because the noise and the cold we're coming into the room. The breakfast wasn't a proper breakfast only couple of croissants and muffins, orange juice, milk and cornflakes. Too bad!! No bread or someting near...
Staff helpful and friendly when you asked them for any help they would help you
The location was wonderful, in a great area off Union Square. The staff was outgoing and very helpful, I have no complaints, and breakfast was very good.
Desk staff and bellman were very helpful and informative
WiFi was problematic
Very comfortable bed Friendly staff On-site restaurant
This room is not soundproof.
Price, cleanliness, location
No coffee pot in the room
Good quality property and well maintained.
The quaint bar on the ground floor attracts twenty something drinkers and they carry on in the street and it stays noisy until well after midnight. Don't accept the room facing Sutter Street !
Proximity to Marines Memorial Hall where we attended a funeral service,a recetion and later dinner.
Waiting for car to be delivered was much too long - 45 minutes.
Liked the location, the price, comfortable bed. Also very clean.
The room and bathroom are quite small, but that is normal for S.F. old hotel. Our window was open when we arrived, we were not able to close it, it was truly stuck open. But we were on a high floor and the temp was o.k. You would not want to stay in that room with kids for sure!
Old room but clean. Amazed how many good restuarant is within the 2 block radius.
The heater is out of your control, room sometime feel like an oven. Valet parking are on the cheaper side but they say it takes 20-30 to retrieve the car, in reality it always take more like 40 minutes.
The location was good considering San Francisco has a few very seedy and dodgy areas. I am a female and travelled alone. I felt quite safe here.
The hotel does not have rooms for single travellers. I had to pay for a double room.
In-room WiFi is for tourists, not business people based on the sluggish or completely non-responsive system.
I liked the location.
the bathroom were small but it's cool though
I have loved the Whitehorse tavern for years. Great portions relaxing eith nice locals and travelers.
Great location, a bit tired but the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was rather small but functional. I would recommend this hotel
Breakfast wasn't great but it is included in the price and is something to start the day with
location, bed, bathroom
noise between rooms; no in-room heat/cool control (open window);staff often didn't understand English, or speak clearly;; staff unhelpful too many times; staff made shuttle reservation to SFO rather than Oakland; Skimpy breakfast; no longer a fine restaurant in pm, just pub fare and that mediocre
