NOTHING, I´LL BE BACK AGAIN
GOOD, BREAKFAST EVERY DAY, COMPLETE
A lot of street noise but it didn't keep us awake.
location was close to shopping and transportation. Coffee and breakfast pastries excellent.
The breakfast wasn't much and we couldn't figure out how to work the air conditioning.
The hotel was so quaint and beautiful. Our room had a lovely view of the streets and the free wifi was wonderful as well.
No air-con so room got very stuffy. Breakfast consisted of special k, dry small croissants and muffins that were full of sugar. There were some apples and grapes and coffee tea and juice. A bit disappointing considering I paid 175 euro per night
Great location, just off Union Square. Lots of options for bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly. My room was small but comfortable
Unpleasant smell in the corridor, poor breakfast: thin coffee, biscuits and small, green bananas, served in the dark gloommy pub next to the lobby.
Location is very convenient, room small but comfortable, some staff customer friendly.
Convenient location. Easy to get around
Warm mini bar
The public areas have a mildewed smell and the bathroom in our room was freezing because there was a louvered window in the shower area that couldn't be closed completely.
The location served our purpose for the first night in SF and was easy to get to. Bed was comfortable
It wasn't the most comfortable hotel in our California trip, it's placed in a historic building and sometimes gets quite cold.
The staff is helpful and the location is just perfect to see all of San Francisco in a few days.
The only thing I don't like is when it comes time to checkout it always seems to take at least 30 minutes. Super downfall after such a nice stay.
I love how accommodating this hotel is. Very clean and comfy.
a little limited on the breakfast tray else it's all groovy
loved the easy access / pub next door / luxiorous feel to the bedroom
I loved the location, the style. I would stay there again.
2 things, we had no cell phone service inside the building at all on two different carriers and there was one staff member who decided to try and argue us into taking their shuttle at 5 in the morning. When we said we had an Uber he seemed to get hostile. I was struggling to get the front door open and to get my very large suitcase out the door and he just wanted to chastise me about how the shuttle worked. He pretty much managed to ruin what was a nice stay in a matter of 5 minutes.
The daytime staff was fantastic and tried very hard to make sure we were taken care of in every way. The place was clean and well taken care of.
Happy with cleanliness, workers & great location to downtown. Also located to an excellent Italian restaurant.
Close to Union Square - the heart of SF Housekeepers were excellent - efficient and friendly
The Hotal Beresford gave us an unbelievably great price for the location! It's not a super fancy place, but everyone was helpful and kind, and everything worked.
Staff members are not very friendly, seems they only will be nice if you pay them tips all the time. No hair-drier in room and a bit noisy - facing the extraction tube and near the lift, which was quite annoying.
Generally clean and pleasant. Good location, nice pub, breakfast included - fair continental one.
The Valet parking was sketchy. The hotel is old and as a result the bathroom door was a slider that wouldn't close all the way. Onlly a queen bed that felt small and mattress was pretty worn out with creaky springs.
The location was great and convenient and the staff, for the most part, very pleasant and efficient.
That the room was so tiny and that the pipes in the room was so old that it made loud noises every time you flushed or the neighbors took a shower. The toilet didn't flush properly and you had to flush it twice. Some of the molding in the room was falling apart along with the wall sockets. We asked for a view and got a view of a wall instead. The door to the bathroom if you can call it that, was hard to close/open. You have to call the front desk to have them turn the heater on for you and the tv only had like 5-10 stations. Overall the hotel just seemed run down and the front desk staff didn't seem too friendly. They werent rude but they weren't polite either, more like they were going through the motions.
Liked that it was so close to the wharf and all the attraction we wanted to visit
Walls are extremely thin. You could hear the rumbling of the elevator and every voice on the street. The room was super small, but hey, it's a tiny old hotel. The front desk lady was awful. That said, while she was extremely rude, she also was strangely nice in the sense that she didn't make good on any of her threats. Like she yelled at me for having an extra person but then didn't charge me the extra- person fee. She also berated the valet for agreeing to hold our car for us for an hour instead of immediately parking it, yet she let him do it and even watched the car for us herself for a while. All in all it was just an interesting experience.
Great location for the price. Loved the White Horse Tavern and the vintage feel. Some of the staff was super nice (like the valet). Free breakfast was tasty and the room was better than a motel 6. Everything was clean and the bathroom was surprisingly nice. Large towels, good sheets, nice toiletries. Don't go here expecting to get the star treatment, but you know what--I'd totally come back!!
We were glad we decided to stay in the city. We considered outlying areas, but the convenience, location and reasonable price made this a good choice for us. The staff was helpful and very polite. Though an older hotel, the room was clean and well maintained.
Breakfast. But that's neither here or there.
An upheaval in my itinerary found me booking into the Hotel Beresford on the day that I needed. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helped me sort out my reservation details despite the influx of a large group of foreign tourists checking in. I daresay my stay at the hotel saved my trip.
