location, staff, room, breakfast
Free WiFi was deemed unsafe by my Android, so I only used the hotel's computers and did not access my emails.
Location - we could walk every where. Staff - very helpful Breakfast - great
Its close to many things but far enough to get away from the noise
Shower heads are to high.
The courtyard was nice!
No hot water!! Paper thin walls could hear everything in room next door!! Smelled of cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room!
The location of the hotel was both a pro and a con. A pro because it was 4 or 5 blocks from the Bourbon street, which enabled us to sleep at night, but also provided us the opportunity to easily walk to Bourbon St (or anywhere in the French Quarter) with ease. I requested a room on "the highest floor available," and was given a room on the third (and top) floor. The bed was huge (King) and comfortable, although it didn't come with a blanket/comforter, which would have been nice. Clean room, nice shower. All-in-all, pleasant experience, would stay here again.
The CON about the hotel's location was that it is situated on Rampart St, which, at the time of our stay, was a busy street, under construction, with poor visibility. The water pressure to my room was very low, resulting in weak shower stream and faucet strength.
Good location and great breakfast. Great bathroom
Air conditioning in room freezing and difficult to regulate and room dark
Hotel was great, Breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful.
Not quite sure about the location. 4 block walk to French Quarter but once outside the French Quarter a bit sketchy late at night.
Excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Wifi and breakfast were great. Parking is expensive throughout the french quarter so that was no surprise. The room Was very clean and the bed comfortable. Would stay there again.
No public transportation near by
The room was comfortable and clean. It was quiet. The breakfast was excellent with hot and cold choices. The front desk staff was very helpful with reservations and suggestions for things to do and see. We had a bit of a problem with the Internet in the room but the staff solved it promptly.
We haven't any complaints or suggestions.
Staff were terrific. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was adequate, if a bit uninspired.
Advertised as 3 blocks from Bourbon Street, but actually more like 5-6 blocks from the "action" on Bourbon. Walk home after dark was a bit scary as this is a high crime neighbourhood. Lighting in room was not the best. Charged $2.00 extra per day for the safe in the room, whether or not you used it.
The hotel was absolutely fabulous-superb staff and so clean. It was only 3 blocks from Bourbon Street so it was easily walkable. Breakfast plentiful-loads of bacon and yum coffee
The location was great, and we had s blast as always!
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Felt safe and the hotel is close to everything in the French Market.
Rooms are nice, however, just a little dark.
Very nice room facing a beautiful courtyard. On the outside boundary of the French Quarter so it was quiet.
I have no complaints.
The price, good breakfast and dinning room staff.
Musty, small dark rooms, aged furniture, the staff was unhelpful , I was sent to a far away room without the proper directions to the room and no help with the laguage, mind you I did tip the front disk guy !!
Property needs better frontage lighting and video cameras. Guests should be made aware of crime in the area.
Wonderful place to stay & cant wait to come back
Setting, courtyard, staff.
There was a lovely restaurant 3 doors away, but when we asked about a place to eat, they never mentioned it. (There was no sign on the exterior of restaurant, so we just stumbled upon it by chance. The food and service was excellent. Our first night there, we ordered in and had to wait 45 mins. for it to be delivered. It was good, but we were tired and hungry. When I asked the desk clerk why they had not told us about the place so close by, I was told that other guests had told them it was not good. However, it was one of our nicest dinning experiences while in New Orleans.
Liked the cleanliness of room, the breakfast, the friendly people who worked there.
Having to pay to park in hotel parking lot.
The location is just ideal for walking into the French Quarter, only five minutes and you are there. It is relatively easy to drive to from out of town. Close to a self-service laundry too, which is handy for washing clothes on long road trips.
The wi-fi is not great. We were on the third floor and found that connection kept dropping out. The hotel should look into better servicing their wi-fi.
internet service and the staff
The hotel is at the northern edge of the French Quarter, a ten- or fifteen-minute walk from the Mississippi. Rooms off the (lovely) courtyard are protected from street noise. The staff is very friendly and seems to take pride in keeping the place in shape.
Our room had a strong musty smell.
Location; Staff;Breakfast; Good value; Internet access.
The hotel and staff were excellent. Everything and every place we wanted and needed to go were within walking distance. It is in an excellent location and we never once felt unsafe as you sometimes do in some places.
