Location and staff excellent, esp in the bfast room. Bfast outstanding. Rooms clean and tidy...pool and courtyard great for relaxing
3 out of 5 nights, loud, drunk people gathered in courtyard. Knocked on our door. Called front office and dealth with. Perhaps security could be more visible and deal with this before a phone call is necessary. Non SMOKING rule ignored...smoking on balcony and in pool area
Very happy with our 6 night stay. Perfect location for a French Quarter visit without breaking the bank.
Great location and facilities
Often couldn't get a hot shower, would be just off luke warm for most of the showers we had
Great location. Walking distance from many attractions. Rooms were clean and hotel was well managed.
friendly, helpful staff; beautiful courtyard; excellent breakfast buffet
price and to pay for parking
Excellent location for visiting thenFrench Quarter, easily within walking distance.
We stayed in mid-Oct, just before Halloween, a most festive time to be in New Orleans. This hotel well suited our needs for the 5 days that we were here. And the price was the best that I could find after scouring a dozen properties. We arrived as a group of 5 couples, and we appreciated that the hotel had placed us in rooms that were close together, on the second floor. Our room had 2 queen sized beds (comfortable), with plenty of space and our view was looking out on the Louis Armstrong park across the street. Rampart street can get busy, but the rooms seem to be well insulated from the noise. Breakfast is included in the price, and the food, including cereals, fruit, eggs, bacon and or sausage, waffles, etc was quite decent, We made use of the courtyard, by sitting out some of the evenings, having a glass a wine with our friends, and enjoying the garden setting. Parking was $20 per day, but was off street, convenient, and safe, so worth it to us. We loved the location, walkable distance to Bourbon Street, the Riverfront, to Frenchmen street for the clubs and to the downtown district, We felt safe but if you are coming in late at night alone, I would recommend caution, but that is true anywhere. One morning I went to the park across the street, and it felt like an oasis of calm, far away from the craziness of Bourbon Street. People were strolling, fishing, and feeding the many birds. Loved the fountains, the bridge and the historical significance of seeing Congo Square. We turned our cars in after the second day, and the hotel staff made all arrangements for us to get to the airport when we left, costing us $15 each before tip. When we return to NOLA, which we surely will do, we will definitely stay at this hotel.
Great staff, very helpful. Knew where the better restaurants are and suggested we take cabs rather than driving as parking is a problem.
Getting a bill for parking when we left. This was never mentioned when we booked on line or when we checked in,
In an excellent location!
Loved how it was only 3 blocks away from Bourbon Street.
Drink machine wasn't working. Advised the male staff member at reception that I had put money in machine and that it was making a noise but all he advised me to do was use the other machine. No mention of refunding money. It was only $2 but its the principle.
Great price for a great location, a few blocks away from the center of things!
Only had one roll of toilet paper for the weekend. Dingy carpet.
staff very helpful; rooms a bit small but adequate; location helpful for getting to the french quarter, tours, etc. breakfast good
can't think of anything; not a luxurious hotel, but really got the feel of the french quarter and staff was extremely helpful
Easy walk to Bourbon St, Royal St, French Market, riverfront. Affordable cab ride to Superdome (less than $10). Nice courtyard! Parking $22/day.
Elevators are very small and not convenient.
Rooms were clean & well kept.
Rooms were slightly small.
Friendly staff, comfortable quarters, great breakfasts.
Beautiful courtyard ~ friendly and helpful staff
Bed caused me to wake several times in the night with a backache . . . my husband also complained of a backache
Courtyard (and pool). A tranquil oasis
Car parking spaces were a little tight but that's understandable in the French Quarter.
Helpful, friendly staff
The room was dark and dingy. The one and only window looked out onto a covered outdoor hall that never got any sun. The lights in the room needed more wattage. The dark brown colored wall made everything dark. The self-serve breakfast was OK, but the eggs (powdered?) were tasteless and the bacon was greasy, under cooked and again, tasteless.
I like the location of the hotel very close to Bourbon Street and Jackson Square
I didn't like that the wifi was poor and was relying on it kept throwing me off, the breakfast wasn't great also was very basic. Also irrated that they want a $100 deposit ahead
Location, the ambience
Air conditioning noisy not very effecient
Very nice location. Staff was friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast was perfect. We enjoyed our visit.
The room was constantly damp. A dehumidifier would be an awesome addition.
the breakfast supplied was great. close walking to french quarter. staff were always very helpful and friendly. would definitely stay there again.
I really enjoyed some of the staff. The were some of the most kind individual one can meet.
What I did not like was that the pictures on the web displayed a more luxurious and upscale hotel than it actually is. The rooms was much smaller that they really are.
