The staff carries this hotel. They are above and beyond!!!
Location plus balcony on St Ann. Hotel staff was extremely friendly & efficient
Would prefer a small refrigerator in the room. Not hotel's fault but location makes it susceptible to party noise from some neighboring apartments across the street
location, friendly staff
This hotel was in a fantastic location - it was a 1 minute walk to Bourbon St and 10 min walk to the river front. Also there were a couple of nearby restaurants that delivered food to the hotel :-)
Location for the French Quarter
Room was very small
We absolutely loved our stay! Perfect location for everything!!!! Clean, friendly place to stay and enjoyed every minute of it!!!
Position in town Bar was good especially the singer
Rooms rather small. For example could not open wardrobe door fully. Very busy. Strange having a business conference in the reception area
Right In the center of the fun. Perfect location and excellent hotel.
Part of the time of my stay there was a business conference which took up the lobby, restaurant and pool area at times! We were treated to a free continental breakfast in the bar but I would have liked breakfast in the restaurant ! Other than that my stay was wonderful !!
We were offered an upgrade from a king room to a loft suite for $80 extra, no regrets, ideal location, what a fantastic hotel
The staff-the beautiful room - the pool with outside shower, towels & very comfortable lounge chairs. The location was ideal.
Your receptionist was great Room outstanding
Location was great.
Vulgar housecleaning staff - could clearly hear them down the hall, cursing and using foul language. Complained to the front desk that their staff was dropping the f-bomb and using other colorful language. The front desk said they would take care of it, but 30 minutes later it had not stopped, so I personally had to ask the two cleaning ladies (3d floor) to be more respectful at which point they stopped. We requested a room change which they accommodated and after that we slept well. However, when we arrived in our new room it was clear the toilet had not been cleaned. The bathroom in the previous room also had hairs in it from a previous occupant. Parking for $38/day was an total rip-off. The parking, which I had been told was in a garage was clearly NOT indoor parking - my car came back absolutely filthy like one would expect to see if it had been left outside, rained on, and then dirt had been blown onto it. I suspect that someone is running a scam and pocketing the $38/day that the guests are paying - the hotel management needs to check on this. (I have pictures if needed.)
You cannot beat the location! Friendly staff! I was surprised at how quiet the rooms are given the proximity to Bourbon St. Definitely a pleasant surprise since we figured that it may get loud. Turned out we could not hear a thing.
The service at the restaurant inside was the worst! Went there in the morning for breakfast. Our server's name was Tim. He sat us with a menu and water and we never saw him again! I had to get up and find someone to ask about the buffet/menu. I was told you could choose either. We went for the buffet since we could not get any help. All that we had was toast and scrambled eggs and the bill was $53!!!!!!!!!! While it was alright, it was not worth the money!!! I would stay at the hotel again, but I will never eat at it's restaurant ever again.
We found this place in July, had such a wonderful experience that we returned six weeks later for another mini vacation. HIGHLY RECOMEND!!!
Nothing not to love!
Location was amazing if you are after a night out in the French quarter
Location was amazing and the hotel is beautiful. Room service was pretty good. Bed was comfy.
Staff were horrible. Only talked to one nice receptionist the whole time we stayed here. Bathrooms need to be cleaned properly. There was still old food left in the fridge from previous guests! Disgusting!
First and foremost, the staff, from the front desk staff to the housekeeper, was the most courteous and helpful I have seen in years! They seemed to truly like their jobs and went beyond the call of duty to make us comfortable. Bravo! The location is perfect, a stone's throw from Jackson Square, and more importantly, the Cafe du Monde and beignet deliriousness! The property itself is lovely and historic. They have a great pool and the room was impeccable, well-apportioned and always clean. We are regular visitors to NOLA and this will be were we stay in the future.
They could do a bit more to highlight the building's historical role in New Orleans.
We searched and searched for our perfect NOLA hotel. Narrowed it down and down and finally picked The Bourban Orleans and we couldn't have been happier. The room was out if this world, we were upgraded to the Queen Loft Suite, WOW! Balcony was cool. Pool was perfection, ovation amazing, clean and beautiful hotel. Located next to some of the big "must see" locations. Now we are not sure we would stay on Bourban again, the Frenchman area was more our style of nightlife, but if this is a first trip to NOLA, search no more. The Bourban Orleans is everything you need!!!
Friendly staff, spacious room and the overall cleanliness of the hotel and awesome pool!!
Location, comfort, friendliness and cleanliness.
Friendly staff, great food, comfort.
A note to car owners, parking in quarter, bad.. you will need valet parking. Its not cheap.
I don't think there is a better located hotel in all of the French Quarter. I am a local and always do "staycations" at the Bourbon O. It is, literally, feet away from Jackson square and Bourbon & Royal Streets. The staff and dining are top notch. The rooms are huge and the hotel has the added security of only allowing the guest to access the floor that their room is on by using the key card. Otherwise, the elevator will not move.
We had two issues. The first was that we were offered an upgrade to a Balcony suite for $19 a night about a week before arriving, so naturally we said yes. When we arrived, we were told that the upgrade option was no longer available but they could offer us the same room for $40 more a night. Figure that one out. Next, the shower curtain had a science experiment growing on the bottom. And I'm not talking a small patch; this thing was quite large and extended across the bottom of the entire shower curtain. It is something that you would think would be noticed and remedied during daily housekeeping. Also, the shower head was broken and, again, should have been very visible to the housekeeping staff. These issues were fixed almost immediately once the front desk was notified. But they shouldn't need to be notified by the guest, especially at such a quality hotel such as the Bourbon Orleans.
