The location and staff are amazing. I was able to Plug In my HDMI to the TV, pool is heated, extra security for Mardi Gras, Bathroom in the lobby, free water bottles in our room, amazing history and may be haunted. The charm and ambiance of the hotel. The automatic air vent in the bathroom. Door man greeted me with "Welcome home" as we walked in. Loved this hotel very much.
Our room 502 was right on the elevator you could here people like they were in your room. But wasn't an issue for our stay just an observation. I couldn't stay longer.
I loved the Free Wife and Water.
-Location: Right off Bourbon street; Easy walk to Canal for the parades; Jackson Square is 2 blocks away. -Staff was friendly, helpful and full of suggestions for dinner/places to go. -Free drink at the bar upon check-in.
-We received an email from the hotel a few days prior to the stay asking if we wanted to pay $9 for a king bed upgrade. Sure! When we checked in, we were given 2 queen beds. When checking out, the staff was helpful to refund the $9....which help offset the cost of parking. -Didn't catch that parking was valet, off site, for $35 a day -Taxes and fees were a little high. -Overall cost was worth it, just caught off guard when checking out.
Great location within walking distance to lots of fantastic restaurants, rooms were very comfortable & the staff were great
The location and the complimentary tea in the lobby.
Our room had a connecting door and it was so thin you could hear full conversations going on next door. It would not have bothered me that much except that our neighbors continued to chat until late. I asked them to keep it down, but security had to be called twice. They finally left the room only to wake us up when they returned at 4:00 am. The security guard told them he was supposed to kick them out since they had been called three times, but gave them one more chance. I wish they had been told that after the 2nd time he was called. I was woken again at 6:00 am to the sound of one of them getting sick. They really need to do something to deaden the sound between rooms. I got almost no sleep and I had a full day planned the next day. It practically ruined my trip. They should not have charged us for that night, but all they offered us were ear plugs (uncomfortable) and the opportunity to move our room (why we should move when we weren't the problem is beyond me?). I realize New Orleans is a city where drinking is very common, but they need to put some kind of plan for situations like this. Letting the occupants know the first time someone complains about them that they will have to leave would have been more helpful.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed and great location. I will definitely be staying there for my next visit.
Bourbon street can be a little loud late at night but that's to be expected.
Staff, location, quiet room, decor, all are 5 star
We were greeted by Louis and his staff upon arrival and he set the tone for our trip. Very Very good at his job, don't know when we were treated so nice. His hospitality was second to none.
Housekeeping staff (Kevine) was very nice and friendly and took care of all I asked. I was just disappointed that the staff did not get to my room to clean it until 3:00 pm. Still had a great stay.
The bar and its singer. Concierge John Fitzpatrick gave good tips.
Bourbon St. now tawdry and almost unpleasant. Hotel breakfast substandard. Had to use service lift.
nice clean hotel. Wear ear plugs if you don't like noise.
Location was awesome. Close to everything. I am very picky about beds and this one was very comfortable with great bedding. Bloody Mary's were best ever!!
Parking fees a bit high but guess that is New Orleans
If you do not want the noise at night, ask for a pool side room. I was expecting the sleepless night but others in the group were not.
Loved everything but the noise. Room was lovely, staff is amazing.
The noise from the bars can make it tough to sleep. And I'm 33.
Great value, opulent decor and wonderful position !
Maybe not having a fridge in room
Locations is excellent, hotel staff were friendly, helpful and always available.
Our room was very noisy at night, music from Bourbon Street could be heard until the early hours. Would definitely stay here again but request a room that faced into the pool/courtyard area
The hotel was in a perfect location for everything we wanted to do. Steps away from Bourbon Street yet quiet and safe in the hotel.
The staff was outstanding - very helpfful and friendly.
The best location in the french quarter. Nice character. Attentive and very reactive staff. Good free Wifi. Nice breakfast buffet.
Rooms on the street side are noisy due to poorly insulated windows (and the streets can't be quite in the heart of the french quarter !) No frigde in the room.
We loved the historic charm of this hotel. Although our room was on the small side, it was clean and very comfortable - great bed, really cozy. The service at the hotel was outstanding, the room service was excellent, and just outside our door was the entire French Quarter. The price was very reasonable for the great location and the charm. We'd go back in warmer weather to be able to use the pool!
There was no room service on Mondays so be forewarned. They had delivery from local restaurants but the food from the menu they gave us was terrible. Also parking is an extra $34 a night which we didn't know. Transportation is so easy - look for a cheaper parking alternative and take the streetcar or walk everywhere!
After all the shambles there are some great points! Hotel location is fantastic! Very clean!
We arrived at the hotel to be told our room had been oversold! We booked a deluxe twin room with twin double beds for me and my friend 6 months prior. we were staying for 6 nights over new year. Bourbon orleans had resold our room presumedly to higher paying customers which i thought was terrible! The receptionist tried to say that there was no booking from booking.com. I obviously had all the paperwork to say it was booked and the recently emails telling me to prepare and get excited about my stay. After contacting booking.com they confirmed to me that bourbon orleans had oversold our room so it was the hotels fault not booking.com. Luckily there was a room available with only one bed for the first two nights and then our originally booked room would then be made available so that for the first 2 nights my friend and i took in turns to sleep on an air bed. Which the hotel provided.. Not what i was expecting....
Location Room size Breakfast
Room on corner of Bourbon a Street can be quite noisy in the early hours
Location was fantastic
