Location, history, staff, quiet on the courtyard side, comfortable
We would have liked breakfast to be included for the price.
Everything was excellent....we spent a lot but were pleased!
Extremely difficult to make reservations for the French Quarter Festival
perfect location, staff was friendly and helpful, everything was in walking distance
the pool was a little murkey.
Beautiful historic hotel. The staff was very friendly and eager to be helpful. Often went out of their way. They always welcomed us back to the hotel and asked if we needed anything. Location was great-next to Jackson Square and Bourbon Street but not part of the craziness. Loved our room-very comfortable beds & large bathroom. Got to watch part of the filming of NCIS from our balcony. The lobby area was very comfortable for enjoying a morning newspaper and cup of coffee. Ron, the concierge, was a great help for setting up activities. Breakfast was delicious and the bartenders excel at their craft. We were given a card for a complimentary drink upon arrival. Delicious!
Room had a musty smell but know that is typical in humid climates. The problem was solved when we could open the door to the balcony. The fan in the bathroom kept going on and off.
Comfortable, with character. Also considering the location very quiet.
Very Friendly Staff
The bathroom door squeaked. The Half Moon shutters were broken and the pool lights prevented us from complete privacy and comfort.
I liked that my room had a safe and a refrigerator (but no microwave).
For $200 per night , the room always very small ( just barely enough space to walk around the queen size bed ). There was no bathtub ... Only a shower , and the shower head could not be adjusted for my height.
I almost like everything.
Pay 40 bucks for parking.
The staff carries this hotel. They are above and beyond!!!
Location plus balcony on St Ann. Hotel staff was extremely friendly & efficient
Would prefer a small refrigerator in the room. Not hotel's fault but location makes it susceptible to party noise from some neighboring apartments across the street
location, friendly staff
This hotel was in a fantastic location - it was a 1 minute walk to Bourbon St and 10 min walk to the river front. Also there were a couple of nearby restaurants that delivered food to the hotel :-)
Location for the French Quarter
Room was very small
We absolutely loved our stay! Perfect location for everything!!!! Clean, friendly place to stay and enjoyed every minute of it!!!
Position in town Bar was good especially the singer
Rooms rather small. For example could not open wardrobe door fully. Very busy. Strange having a business conference in the reception area
Right In the center of the fun. Perfect location and excellent hotel.
Part of the time of my stay there was a business conference which took up the lobby, restaurant and pool area at times! We were treated to a free continental breakfast in the bar but I would have liked breakfast in the restaurant ! Other than that my stay was wonderful !!
We were offered an upgrade from a king room to a loft suite for $80 extra, no regrets, ideal location, what a fantastic hotel
The staff-the beautiful room - the pool with outside shower, towels & very comfortable lounge chairs. The location was ideal.
Your receptionist was great Room outstanding
Location was great.
Vulgar housecleaning staff - could clearly hear them down the hall, cursing and using foul language. Complained to the front desk that their staff was dropping the f-bomb and using other colorful language. The front desk said they would take care of it, but 30 minutes later it had not stopped, so I personally had to ask the two cleaning ladies (3d floor) to be more respectful at which point they stopped. We requested a room change which they accommodated and after that we slept well. However, when we arrived in our new room it was clear the toilet had not been cleaned. The bathroom in the previous room also had hairs in it from a previous occupant. Parking for $38/day was an total rip-off. The parking, which I had been told was in a garage was clearly NOT indoor parking - my car came back absolutely filthy like one would expect to see if it had been left outside, rained on, and then dirt had been blown onto it. I suspect that someone is running a scam and pocketing the $38/day that the guests are paying - the hotel management needs to check on this. (I have pictures if needed.)
You cannot beat the location! Friendly staff! I was surprised at how quiet the rooms are given the proximity to Bourbon St. Definitely a pleasant surprise since we figured that it may get loud. Turned out we could not hear a thing.
The service at the restaurant inside was the worst! Went there in the morning for breakfast. Our server's name was Tim. He sat us with a menu and water and we never saw him again! I had to get up and find someone to ask about the buffet/menu. I was told you could choose either. We went for the buffet since we could not get any help. All that we had was toast and scrambled eggs and the bill was $53!!!!!!!!!! While it was alright, it was not worth the money!!! I would stay at the hotel again, but I will never eat at it's restaurant ever again.
We found this place in July, had such a wonderful experience that we returned six weeks later for another mini vacation. HIGHLY RECOMEND!!!
