The facilities were excellent, but lacked an electric kettle for boiling water. Great amenities if you are a coffee drinker with a pod machine, but not for making tea. Small plates for breakfast were a bit annoying - it meant that two small plates were needed to accommodate eggs and toast or a bagel.
Quality of rooms, spaciousness, excellent beds, nice toiletries in bathroom; all problems, such as a blown lamp globe, promptly fixed, and help getting taxis. Staff were excellent. Laundry facility was good for a week long stay. Walking distance to major sites, good restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Bathroom light and hall light connected. If turned on during the night, wakes the other person

Quit and near to attractions within walking distance!

Friendly service and cleanliness.

The building is a reconverted apartment block, and the infrastructure showed its age -- little things like inadequate electric plugs, tiny bathtub shower, etc.
The staff was superb -- welcoming, helpful and friendly.

Valet parking took a long time. Was suppose to get a refund for one day. Never did.
Great location for sightseeing.

The room looked more appealing and bigger in photographs.
Very comfortable bed.

Pricy, need to be refreshed (bathrooms) and cleanliness to be improved (lift). Breakfast room too little for the number of guests.
Spacious room and excellent beds. Friendly staff. Walking distance from most attractions and from metro.

the only complaint was breakfast. we got up at 8:00 on Sunday and nothing was left. as a family of 5 bfast included means a lot to us when choosing hotel. we understand it's usually continental but at 8 am would hope it would be replenished.
we arrived, as a family of 5, after driving from Florida at 10pm. was greeted by pleasant staff. I knew I booked a 2 queen suite w one rollaway bed. it was cherry blossom season and no rollaway beds avail. note in write up it is first come first serve. so I asked anyway front desk reception for one. she said she'd find one ( we may have looked desperate) we got to room 2 kids claimed one queen and went right to bed little guy took bedding off other bed and pillows and slept in closet area! he loved it!! hubby and I slept in other queen w blankets front desk provided. next morning went into city 2 metro stops away from mall and enjoyed 3 hours in cherry blossom heaven. came back to capital hills peace and quiet. much needed after stampede of blossom lookers. my son asked to ride bikes before we got back in car for our trip to nj. front desk provided free bike and helmut. we went to church (beautiful Catholic Church St. Peter's) right across street. left car on street whole time ( it was sunday) no problem! was a little nervous about a boutique hotel w 3 kids but it was just what I needed after spring break in disney

We are quite disappointed about the parking, it was said there is no need for reservation, however once booking it came across there are no free spaces avaible and had to use a parking lot 2km away from the hotel. Very small bathroom, no room to place cosmetics.
The location was excellent. The breakfast was very good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Zuzanna! Very good Wi Fi

Free breakfast and a large room made the stay great.

I liked the location of the hotel, nice area, quiet at night.

We loved being within a walking distance to good places to eat, Capital South Metro station, and the Capital. We also loved walking among a beautiful safe neighborhood. We felt welcome.

We had requested a check in time btw 1 and 2 pm and we has to wait until 3:30 to get into our room. Then we had to swtch rooms cause our room was not what we had requested.

The pool lights made the water look green. The water was super cold.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The gentleman at the front desk even helped him tie his tie!

Parking 50$ day, sheets did not get changed, dishes not put back in cabnet when room was cleaned, hole in floor not safe my child could have stuck his arm in the hole, they did switch our room but we got a smaller room. Walls thin cleaning staff loud. When moved to a new room, only two desk lamps, but only one worked, TV did not work cable had to be changed. No TV guide while trying to find something to watch it landed on a show where people where having sex. I have a 8 year old son. who could have seen athis display on TV. Took an exgtened time to get my car daily and one day they wanted me to go with them to find my car.

my first room smelled musty and disgusting. the next room, which was in a different building and was a suite, had no smell
the bathrooms were nice.
April 12, 2015
Old facilities, very small bathroom, tiny sofa. Very expensive stay for what you get. The hotel is dated with very few amenities. Way overpriced.
April 11, 2015
The breakfast is included, but not really the best quality. The breakfast room is far too small, one is ennoying others as passing by to fetch the things.
The hotel is really near the metro Capital Hill South, which is very practical. We had a room at the back which was really quiet. We also liked the fact that when returning form a journey, there was something to drink in the library.
April 10, 2015
Receptionist hidden in back room talking on her cell phone. So after waiting and not seeing anyone, I had to follow the sound of the voice and get her from back room. No way to open the windows in room or bathroom. Breakfast room overly crowded with people, tables and chairs. No room to circulate. Lots of choice for breakfast but overall not very tasty.
Located in beautiful neighborhood. Large room, plenty of space. Very clean Nice shower products

This hotel is in a great location for a tourist or business visit to DC, and the staff and facilities are top notch. There are abundant local restaurants that are affordable and varied - and not crowded.

Bedding was still heavy for winter (which I guess only ended a few days ago and may still come back for a brief visit - so no points deducted)
close to everything, i.e. Metro, Capitol buildings, restaurants, beautiful quiet neighborhood. Complete and satisfying breakfast. Enjoyed hearing all the different languages being spoken.
