facilities, clean and neat area. Great location.
no free parking offered
It was practically close to downtown. Free water.
It basically felt like a motel. Didn't want to pay for parking, but couldn't find one so forced to pay valet. It smelled weird. My bed is more comfortable.
security location cold bottled water / every floor coffee brewer in lobby staff attention to detail close to rail line and Minute Maid Park
Comfortable room at a reasonable price
Great location, comfortable bed, and good price.
Broken shower, no vent in bathroom, and old hair in nightstand drawer.
Free bottled water and snacks in lobby.
Great location and value
The room was a good size, and the mattress was extremely comfortable. The staff were great. They also had security safe and free baggage storage. Very secure as it had 2 keys. They even had a free courtesy car after 5pm to drive with in the downtown area. The restaurant was very nice. The icing on the cake was the free printing, chargers and mini bar in the lobby. Everything was covered. Our only regret was not staying longer.
The ice buckets were located in the lower lobby, which may bother some people. It didnt bother us :-)
Rooms were recently remodeled and clean.
Room photos deceiving. The size is like a microtel. Also the hotel lounge/restaurant has a large party the night before and was out of the first four common items we ordered. We ended up going out.
Location and price
Lack of inexpensive parking
I like the old style atmosphere and architecture. The room price around $100 per night make it competitive.
The location is a bit away from some important parts of Houston.
Location, room service and hotel restaurant
Parking was valet only, for a steep fee. Room was smaller than I expected.
No fridge or microwave in room.
Had to travel to different floor for items needed.
Location is very poor and parking per day is very costly. Please read fine print!!!!! When an issue arose a staff member was very uncompromising in solving the problem.
Decent room. Close to Minute Made Park.
Mold in room. Only valet parking.
I didn't like the fact that guest have to pay for parking.
It was a very nice place to stay for the weekend. The staff was very nice and professional.
There was nothing.
Location. Chilled water bottled. Very comfy homey room
Bed comfort n need more pillows
Cappuccino machine in the lobby! That's like the pot of gold at the end and beginning of a long drive! Everyone was really nice and professional.
The fact that I can't just live there!
Convenient location; roomy and comfortable for a family of 4; very friendly and helpful staff; close to the metro and many restaurants; nice amenities in the room, including full kitchen. Really great value for the money given the downtown location and the size of the rooms.
It was a bit dirty in some places -- especially the windows -- they were filthy. The A/C let out a high-pitched whine that got pretty annoying. The refridgerator opened in a corner which only a skinny person could get into.
No safe box on the room
Clean hotel. Location good, just the surrounding with lot of homeless people was not nice but I cannot say I had any trouble with that. I really appreciated the living room, free computers even for printing a boarding pass. Some staff was really friendly and helpful.
Guy at the main desk was yelling at other staff questions like who scored a point in some baseball game during my check-in. Very unprofessional!! After I entered my room, I realized that toilet was not working properly. After flushing a water box was not filled by water and the water was pouring into the toilet instead. I immediately called staff to do something about that. It was early afternoon. After a promise that they will fix it I came back at night and the water was still pouring into the toilet. Well, this time staff came over to take a look at it but as they realized that it was a mechanical issue which will be repeated every time, I did not get an offer to use another room. I was advised how to fix it after this happens. Not cool.
very efficient room set up great facility free laundry, free detergent, nice touch
staff could have been more knowledgeable about safe parking option.
The staff were great and really friendly.
The hotel is in downtown and I didn't realise that the area was a bad area. We thought it would b nice to visit Houston for the 4th July but honestly I would never go back as there is nothing to do there. The room was also quiet small and if you want to have a fridge you must request it in your booking.
