everything booked it at the last minute only stayed one night as we checked into universal the next day.
parking was too far from hotel.
The staff were very friendly. The hotel was great. Walked over to Universal Citywalk, so close
Carpet was stained Old Furniture Thin Walls Old Facility
Had a room at the top so great view. Very helpful lady on the concierge desk and fantastic maid service. Hotel has it's own "I-ride trolley" stop, which meant travelling about was really easy.
More of a business hotel with no evening/entertainment facilities. The blackout curtains in my room didn't meet in the middle so woke up early because of the light. Overcame this by temporarily taping the curtains shut.
It is a very short 15 minute walk to Universal Studios which we did every day, to and from. Would recommend to anyone looking to go to a Universal Studios but doesn't want to pay on site prices.
Dining choices inside the hotel could be better/cheaper.
Everything was great; the location to attractions, amenities, and the staff was very accomodating.
After cleaning the room one day they forgot to re-supply the hand and face towels, there were no glasses for an iced drink and they forgot to clean/empty the ice bucket.
location (near outlets, parks, all restaurants near) universal studios (bus, tickets inside, across street)
You could walk to Universal Studios from the hotel if you wanted too but taxis were also available for $5.
The staff was nice.
The smell of mold and standing water. The amount of carpet fresh in room made it so I could barely breath. I could not open a window to air the room out. My daughter's room next door smelled like an ashtray. They need to knock down this 30 year old pile and start over.
Every member of the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. They gave us a very early check-in (noon) so we didn't have to find some other place to kill time. The breakfast buffet was awesome. Location is very convenient with shuttles to everywhere available at a moments notice. The bell services people are especially quick and eager to serve, rivaling any 5-star. Will stay there again.
Not much to complain about. Only thing I can think of is the room doesn't have real glasses but those cheap plastic ones. Obviously I enjoyed my stay if that's all I have to complain about.
Everything hotels should have
The staff were very friendly, we were greeted by everyone, and given directions that were easy an concise to a wedding we were attending. We didn't make use of all the amenities the hotel had to offer, but the ones we used were easy to get to and well kept.
Parking was an additional charge per night, which I've never seen in the past, and while the front and enhance of the hotel were very nice looking, the rooms were not. The duvet didn't have a cover, the rooms were dark and not updated.
The hotel is dated, the a/c was loud and the bedding was past it's prime.

Needs to be refreshed
Big Room, cleaning, room service, friendly stuff, great location for visiting universal studios, places around to eat if you decide to go out.
Great Location for universal studios. Starbucks in the lobby. self service laundry was really appreciated at the end of the trip
Catching the bus to Disney was horrible- pay the extra $25 and take a taxi.
I loved everything and plan to return in march
last two nights by screaming babies and children
The price for parking. $100 dollars a night plus parking and no real amenities like breakfast.
Great location- directly across from Universal, within minutes of dining and shopping. Reasonable distance from train station and airport. Staff were very good.
Switched rooms after first night due to bad location (overlooking dirty roof w/many HVAC units), flickering bathroom light and dirty, old toilet. Second room had only one washcloth and shower that did not work all the time. Expected better from past exp in other Doubletrees.
I liked the location of the hotel. The views from the over sized windows were great. The bed is very comfortable as well.
They charge you for parking witch i think is pretty lame. No complimentary breakfast just a very overpriced breakfast buffet witch i would think twice about eating even if it was free. Both parking and breakfast should be included with the stay of every guest. Especially for the price!
Loved the clean and comfortable white beds! The rooms were spacious and well-appointed. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to help us. There was a large terraced area near the ample pool for an evening stroll or a cocktail at a table.
Location to park and the idea of transportation to Universal Studios
Not putting parking directly into room rate and park transportation was extremely loud
Perfect location for Universal - 10 minute walk.
The pool and facilities are very nice, the location is great, and the price was right.
The room was a little dated and musty, had kind of a dark feel to it and the bathroom was not too clean, also the bathtub did not drain well. If you took a shower longer than 30 minutes it would overflow. I'm not sure if there are some rooms/floors that are renovated and some that aren't because the overall hotel was much nicer/cleaner than our actual room.
