so clean and nicely presented especially for the price!
Great view, beautiful room, comfy bed The free beer, wine and appetizers was nice
I liked it.
I didn't like the fact that I couldn't extend my stay at a short notice.
Location and the bed !
Elevators could be a little faster, but not a deal breaker,
Location was perfect for sightseeing.
Upon check in at the hotel, I am greeted by very friendly & helpful front desk people. They answers any questions with a smile on there face. Breakfast is perfect for me while on the go.
Ask for a room in lower floors, because there not enough elevators. Besides that, the hotel is just what you need when in NY
Liked the room and the free breakfast.
Long waits for the elevators
Amazing location, great wifi connection and receptionists are a plus!! very helpful and friendly
nothing to dislike
The room was excellent, for two people it was spacious, clean. Bathroom and shower were very good size and well stocked.
Reception area was drab and cold.also the breakfast area could do with some improvement in the area of decor and better buffet layout.
The location and room were great. Large comfy beds and felt very private. Enjoyed the view of theatre land and the free wine and canopies offered to guests in the evening.
The wait for the lifts rather long at 'rush hour', the breakfast was okay, but due to the lack of seating, sometimes it was difficult to find a suitable place to sit and eat the breakfast. Many people had to sit on the couches with their breakfast on their laps.
Well located, nice breakfast and happy hour. Friendly staff, clean, good kitchen.
No hot water (only warm) at peak hours. Very busy and a bit messy to disembark, but consider it is NYC...
great place at incredible value. it has a full kitchen where you can cook your own stuff. Kinda of boutique. Beautiful and very affordable. Stayed on king bed studio
Wifi is up and down but mangeable.
Location is great, you can get everywhere via the various subway lines. The staff is good and friendly. (Except one short-haired iblack woman receptionist who did give me an attitude when I asked her about some odd charge to my credit card)
1, the kitchen is always leaking during my 14-day stay. 2, there's no hot water in the bathroom until you let both of the sink and bathroom water run for at least 10 mins which is a total waste. 3, the wifi sucks, I never succeeded connecting the network with the wifi. 4, due to the pipe break, we needed to climb all the way up to 39th floor. That's too bad.
A short walk to our bus and trains. Very comfortable and well equipped room. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Somewhat chaotic breakfast scene with limited seating
rooms location breakfast staff
The proximity to all the things to do in and around times square were key to my happiness. Staff was awesome and the Irish pub next door is awesome. Their complimentary breakfast is the only thing that I want happy with. Dry pancakes and a super dry English muffin. That wasn't really a Big issue with all the wonderful restaurants in the area
Complimentary breakfast was subpar
Location. Staff mostly friendly.
Staff sometimes seemed inexperienced and confused by simple tasks. Some had that "NY attitude" -- not the good one, e.g. when we returned after work one evening and found our room not made up, we complained to the front desk. No apology, rather only kind of challenging demand for our room number as if maybe they didn't believe us? Not pleasant to be harassed after they made a mistake, though this is fairly typical in this city. Long lines for everything, check in, elevators, breakfast. As if they're trying to overuse the facilities they have. We took a room on a lower floor to try to avoid long waits for the elevator in the morning. Didn't help as we watched elevator after elevator pass our floor without stopping on the way down. If you're a tourist with a relaxed schedule, want someplace central with free breakfast, etc. - maybe not a bad choice. But if you're on business and will be busy, you might find the overcrowding and somewhat lax management and discourteous behavior annoying. We did. And checked out and went somewhere else.
a. Great location b. Nice rooms
a. Run out of food in breakfast time. b. Wifi does not work in rush hours. c. They forgot to clean our room one day. d. All the 3 elevators broke down for almost four hours (I had to use escalators for pick up my theater tickets - floor 26!!) d. Lobby was close because of a broke pipe e. Elevators are insufficient in rush hours (almost 10min of waiting) f. There is no dress code for the breakfast room, so you will find people in piyamas and with out shoes. g. Staff do not answer your emails in reservation
The room was comfortable. Staff was very accommodating
Sprinkler system went off in lobby I had to climb 23 floors to my room or wait hours to get in my room via elevator. Breakfast is not very good. Sandwiches are prepared ahead of time and very soggy. Not enough room to accommodate all guests for breakfast. I used the private car service from the hotel, no receipts are available and I'm still waiting for a copy for my expenses.
Really enjoyed stay at Element. The location of the hotel is perfect. Its close to Time Square, the subway, and Port Authority. The rooms were comfortable and very clean (Top marks to the cleaning staff) The bathroom was also great with a modern feel. The free breakfast was nice considering it is FREE. The elevator waiting times were ok just leave your room early and have patience we never had to wait as long as 15mins as other posts have suggested. Nice mix of business people, young people and families. I would definitely consider staying again in the future.
The wifi was not good enough. It was very low standard. It did not work properly the entire week of our stay. Guests require access to the wifi/internet to reply to business emails while away, contact home, and share trip experience with friends. Element please upgrade wifi. The staff at element were ok but not to a high standard. On a few occasions the staff came across as unprofessional /inexperienced and could be abrupt when talking to you at the reception desk. It didn't impact our stay but there was a personable aspect missing. No information was provided upon check-in besides - here's your key. Know that the lobby/food areas aren't as spacious as pictures suggests. All seats in breakfast area are gone between 7.30 and 8am. You can bring back to your room though. The food runs out if your not down early enough.
Allergy free/feather free room. Excellent view! Very clean.
Computer down and couldn't enter spg # nor could they print a receipt on checkout. Supposed to email receipt but may have to call and request it,
The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk to the theater district and the subway. We really enjoyed our stay in NYC and the Elements played a big part in that. The room size and bed were what we expected. The staff were helpful and friendly.
There was a problem with a burst pipe in the lobby. The staff did a great job in working around this. This appeared to be a freak problem because the hotel did not show any signs of poor maintenance in any other area.
- Gym is quite decent for a 3star hotel - Location 15min walk from Penn station - Free coffee
- Overall, the hotel is a bit of a design failure. The breakfast room is way too small, so you need to eat your breakfast standing most of the times. You have 3 elevators for 40 floors, so for the upper floors you wait 5-10 minutes for an elevator (seriously). - The breakfast is not refilled. If you come at 8.00, half of it will be gone. - The wifi is free, but very unstable - The crowd is a bit strange, just does not feel SPG at all.
