Score from 2 reviews Wonderful
The location and views were absolutely awesome. The property is just spectacular with numerous pools, walking paths, restaurants and lagoons. The art work is just fantastic. The staff was polite, friendly and helpful.
The cleanliness was not up to Hilton standards. Maid service seem to not have the attention to detail expected.
Grounds were beautiful. Loved the pools and lagoon. Room OK, but nothing unusual
$19.00 per day for parking is GOUGING! And then a very long walk. Dining at the facility is too expensive. Over $8.00 for an ice cream cone? Come on!!!!!! The Mexican place was $17.00 for stale chips and a not so good dip. View from our room was workman tearing up the street and grass.

Room Service-forgot to close the door, didn't clear trash Employee attitude-Many Poker face Valet service-no reliable as very slow and didn't care, 15 mins longer than what they said when the luggage came to lobby.

Service Friendly Staff Beautiful Grounds Transportation to Rooms
That I had to return home.
The pools, artifacts, dolphins
Room wasn't as smart as I expected.
The Hilton Waikoloa Village is an extremely beautiful resort. The landscaping goes on and on with lush rolling lawns interspersed with water elements and fairy tale-like bridges. The majesty of the grounds is further enhanced with an amazing collection of art including a collection of giant marble statues from northern China depicting animals, Buddhas and other fantasy creatures. We were there in August and the resort did not seem crowded - except perhaps around the lagoon area. Also, we stayed in the Ocean Tower and were not bothered by bird noise. I think they may have removed the vines that were a nesting area for most of the birds. Regarding the room, it was very large by hotel standards, was clean and modern and had a nice private balcony. We ate at the coffee bar at the ocean tower, which had a limited selection of reasonably priced items - similar to a Starbucks. We also had a nice lunch near the dolphin pool - pretty outside seating and not too pricey.
As everyone says, the distances between your room and everywhere else, is often a very long walk. However, from our tower (Ocean) to the lobby took less than 10 min walking - and the route was lined with remarkable art all the way. Also, I didn't like the very strict towel policy. You had to take a set of cards to check out your towel from one of a few places on the property. You then had to return your towels to the same place to get your cards back. In our case, with kids all over the property, wrangling these towels together and getting our cards back was a big hassle. Based on prior reviews we didn't eat dinner at the hotel. However, given the very high prices at the nearby restaurants, even the over hyped "Lava Lava Club" (mediocre food/atmosphere), it probably would have made just as much sense to eat at the hotel.
The place is really cool.
They FORCE you to pay extras, even if you don't want to waste your holidays in the room playing with the play station they obey you to pay 25$/ day. Take into account that you will have to pay 17$/ day to park your car. The internal train is so slow that you will be so desperated so you will finally decide to walk from your room to the main hall ( much, much, much faster). Pay special attention if you are planning to dinner at "la cantina", special guests are waiting for you ( roaches).
I loved the art work and the condition of the grounds very impressive! Definitely a 5 star resort feel to it. I loved the house keeping staff they did a fantastic job of my room each day and were also very friendly. Ketch up the resident cat outside lagoon bar is a cutey reminded me of my pets back home.
The Dolphins are kept in a tiny pool which is cruel and in humane felt so bad for them even though the trainers claim they are happy the Dolphins don't have a choice! The food at Dona and Toni's pizza was average my creamy pasta was like muddy water! The bar and wait staff around the grounds aren't very friendly. The location is far away from everything so difficult if you don't have a car.
Clean, well kept, well appointed.
Like a lot of the somewhat pricey places they nickel and dime you with a, "resort fee" and a parking fee for the privilege of parking a half mile away. I did not appreciate having to wait in line to check out but had I not waited we would have been charged another $20 for not returning the, "beach towel" cards.
pools and lagoons readily available. Great restaurant around.
need to drive there on your own.
Service is subpar for a resort.
The Best Resort I've ever stayed at. Great
We tried two restaurants in this hotel, both of them were so great. Though the prices were a little bit expensive, it somehow worth. We had dinner at KPC while viewing the beautiful sunset. It really a must do thing in the hotel. Also, the train and boat in the hotel were good to try.
The wifi in the room was not convenience enough. We had reconnected so many times.
Thankyou, out stay at your resort was fabulous, excellent in all areas, will recommend :)
The entire place facility was awesome. Over the top.Beautiful from top to bottom. We loved it. The Luau was fantastic
Had to pay for parking each and every day. For the price of the room it should be included.
Loved the property. It was beautiful and well equipped. The European trams and canal boat transportation throughout the resort was excellent.
The food was rather pricey and off property eating was inconveniently far away.
I did not like paying nine dollars for a scoop of ice cream $10 for a beer $30 for breakfast or $50 for pizza or $20 to park in a parking lot this 20 minutes from the hotel or mandatory $25 for Internet use Weather use the Internet or not. They didn't nickel and dime you they robbed us blind for every penny they could get.
Ok, this is very big resort but everything has been designed in a way that makes it friendly and that makes you really enjoy it. Room was ok. Pools are great, view on the Ocean is tremendous, and you can swim in the natural lagoon with sea tortles ! The kids really enjyed this ! Thanks !
The lagoon is great and the ambiance is a fun Disneyland like vibe. They have a couple of local brews from Kona Brewing on tap. One of the best places on the island to watch the sunset.
Food was pretty bland and definitely overpriced. Breakfast buffet at $30 was rough. Also pricing for equipment rental is steep.
Magnify mirror and bath mat should be standard in BR. Everything great . The extra $ 25.00 fee for Hilton activities, we did not attend, was not appreciated!
Above, sorry. I loved all the variety and our room was great. A god price for this room and view!!!! Thx a lot!
My romantic, delicious dinner at KPC while viewing the beautiful sunset. How accommodating they were when I left property behind and they returned it to me. Also the walk along the ocean near Buddha Point. Jennifer Bolstad's help with information prior to my arrival was most helpful. She is a true asset to your organization.
The food at the Waikoloa Coffee Co. downstairs by the elevators in the Lagoon Tower. Coffe good but the food not so good
To much for one night 307.00 total no free food or buffet.
The resort itself was gorgeous with lots of facilities. You could spend all your time at the resort without visiting anywhere else on the Big Island and still have a great time.
The bathroom in our room was way too small, the room had a large walk-in closet with a tiny bathroom next to it, the large walk-in closet was a waste of space in our opinion.
