Everything and the amenities were great.
When I tried to order food from Tiki bar was told -- "they did not have any food" available -- not sure why and they could not recommend anywhere that would deliver which I thought was odd.
It has a great location and it has a great staff. I look forward to coming back!
The first room I had a little musty smell, but the second one was fine once I removed all of the air fresheners. The shower was only 30"X30". I had to turn off the water to soap up.
Close to the beach. Staff speaks fluent English. Friendly staff. Lots of nice outdoor seating.
Very thin walls. Squeaky beds. No counter in bathroom. No wash cloths.
Location ,Location ,Location ..Nice ,clean , within 30 yards to the beach or if you have little ones next door to the sprinkler play ground. Good place to stay for a week or just a weekend.
If they keep the current repair crew there in trouble of losing the upkeep of the place ...I checked in and found the room smelling of bug spray, the bathroom door was hangin off its hinges and the t.p. holder was on the floor .It took till 2pm the next day and not having a clue as how to fix the door till I showed them. Still after those few issues I will return.
I stayed at the Caribbean Resort for a 1 night stay on 9/28/14. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room (#127 - 1st level). It was obviously recently remodeled and everything was fresh and clean. The kitchen had a full-sized frig, a sink, microwave, coffee maker. It is small, but more than adequate to prepare a meal if you wanted to stay in. There was a dining table and chairs for two. A BBQ grill was available for use. The bathroom had a very nice shower, no tub. It too was compact, but I had no complaints as it exceeded my expectations! The Tiki Bar is cash only and very relaxing to have a drink, listen to music, watch the game or people watch. The resort is located a 1/2 block of the boardwalk and is convenient to restaurants, shops and the beach. They offer parking for $15 a day. There is a parking garage located across the street but I'm not sure of the costs. Any return visit to Hollywood, I will check availability here first. I highly recommend.
I had a difficult time keeping a wifi connection at the Tiki Bar. Other than that, no complaints.
Location was awesome! We were given a room on the 2nd floor at the end of the building very quiet. The young lady that checked us in was very professional. Got us in early and was very responsive.
Would not give my cc to use the outdoor grills! Would not sign a waiver if it burnt the building down. Had to cook in our unit. Guess what, not exhaust fan over the stove, so the smoke detector went off numerous times, no fire extinguisher in sight. Had to get maintenance to fix hot water in shower, it was reversed on the shower faucet. Painting in room not complete and bed shoved against the wall to make room appear bigger. Minimal kitchen items to cook. Booked here so that we could be close to the beach and enjoy cooking on the grill. Not so much, unless you want to give a cc and sign a waiver, grills are under a thatched roof.. No thank you!
Need a fence to keep the outsiders away
Great remodeling job done.
The location the cleaning staff great the tiki bar husbands fav and washer and dryer facility.
The matresses were very uncomfortable unfortunately, however clean. Pillowtop newer matresses would of been great!
Its by the beach
The parking fees it should be included in the.price u pay for the room
Modern accommodations. Next to beach and boardwalk. Shops and restaurants galore. Safe decent area to stay. Will come again.
good job remodeling beautifull going to check you out next door hotel soon when you finish it please call me when rooms are ready remember we travel 6 couples 6 room super nice front desk Amanda service we love her work the bar is great the mans that work helping there great
The lady short hair that cleans and changes rooms say she is not allow to change towels that are dirty because the owner is a sheap Russian that prohibits changing dirty towels and we have to drie dirty towels or clean them our selves who wants to wash and drie when you on vacation
Bedding. Noisy. Stiff. Odor of linens.
I love the location so close to the beach. The building has been renovated. New furniture, very modern décor. Bathrooms were beautiful. The employees at the office were vey nice and the office was open until late and they were there even on Sundays.
The bathroom tiles were very slippery. The shower's tiles were the same as the walls which was a contractor's error. Any person young or old can falls down. We have to put towels on the floor. No place where to put the soap while you were taking a shower. The parking was a mess. A car blocked us and we have to wait until the owner who also paid for a parking spot moved the car. He did not find any place to park his car. They need more parking spaces.
I liked the location
Room they sent us to was dirty.2nd room had mold smell. Parking additional. Toilet made "jackhammer" sound when flushed. Mattress uncomfortable. No hair dryer. Price high.
The hotel location was great and the bed was very comfortable. The room has been recently redone with a very nice and well crafted bathroom. A great home base, though the room was a little too small to spend a lot of time there. But who needs to be in the room when in less than five minutes, you can have your feet in the ocean?
On the minus side. The office wasn't open when we got there at 7 pm Sunday so we had to find the person with the key at the bar. The outdoor bar was ten steps from our door so the area outside of our door felt a bit like walking through a party to which we were not invited. Fortunately, the bar closed at ten pm so there were no noise issues when it was time to go to sleep. The next morning at about 9, the maid walked into the locked room immediately after 2 timid knocks- there was no way to lock the door from the inside (chain lock or slidebolt) and no privacy sign to hang on the door. This was very upsetting to my husband who was about to step into the shower with the bathroom door open. When complaining to the owner, the owner said the maid did not know the room was occupied as it had been empty the day before. After some discussion, the owner refunded half of the room cost. My husband was satisfied with this resolution.
We had an amazing time at the tiki bar and loved the clean, comfortable room we stayed in. Waking up and having places to eat on the beach was great. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. Much better than the upscale hotel we stayed in afterwards in Miami.
Great location. Fun area. Nice renovations.
Pay for parking. Adamant about 11checkout
the furniture, the kitchen, the beds
No one came to clean our room, there were not enough towels, there was no hairdryer in the room, the shower was very tiny.
Loved how it was within minutes walking distance to the beach, variety of food and shopping. Clean room - and very updated. Would book again.
Didnt like that if you had your own drink you werent allowed to sit outside by their bar at their tables, even being a guest. We booked a double then changed (for $27 more) to the one where the bedroom is seperate from the other bed and found it to be just a flat couch that folded down - decided to go back to the double room - was only given $ back - didnt count until back at the room - was shorted $2 - the girl in the lobby was very nice but seemed overwhelmed.
Location, rates, EXCELLENT parking, quiet. Staff was superb! We hope to stay longer next time!
A/C a bit loud, but hey, in an older hotel, at least there was A/C
The location was great, staff very friendly and helpful.
The bed and pillows were not very comfortable, my only issue with this property.
HEY HEY HEY...if you are like me then you research and read all you can to the point of obsessing over a decision ...here's what you get at Caribbean Resort. Great great spot about 50ft from the sand. Great value for the price. We had a studio style room with small kitchenette and small bathroom. Considering that all other hotels nearby were 2x-3x the price we were very happy with our choice. Pay $15 a day to park in their lot and come and go as you please or there is a public lot behind the hotel. Book the hotel...it's just what you need f you are on the go vacationers and just need accommodations to get you through the days and nights. Was clean enough for us. I'd go back for sure..get a $5 sangria with fresh fruit at the tiki bar...delicious!
At 6'2" - 280 I found the shower and toilet very small , but hey, it added to the charm of the quaint beachfront lil resort.
Located near the beach, the restaurants, the shops, we could see the ocean from the window. The room was clean, nicely renovated with a well-equipped kitchenette, nice bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. Beach towels were available.
There was no room service, no breakfast, no parking space unless you paid $15 a day (for a place in a packed parking lot in which your car got stuck sometimes), therefor it was overrated compared to other hotels. Extremely noisy and busy surroundings : 5 or 6 garbage trucks passing every the morning, an endless carousel of cars looking for a parking space, a squash court across the street that is well-attended from early in the morning. The kitchen is narrow, it can only be used by one person at a time and the bed is at the income door so the doormat is almost a bed carpet.
The accommodations of room, location, ease to arrive
Parking very expensive, much external noise, I heard the neighbor in the next room snoring at night, coughing too because the walls were hollows, the location of my room in front of the garbage collector, I really isn't liked that.
