Shuttle service from BART to hotel is not available even in daytime. Different from what is said on the hotel website.
I liked the rooms. They were clean and I really liked the bathroom set up.
I didn't like the lobby area or the elevator. It kind of had a musty smell to it. This could have been mostly due to the people staying there it seemed every smelled of marijuana.
I enjoyed pretty much everything.
Price a little steep.
Close to the airport. Staff is accommodating.
Room 213 is directly above the lobby. You can hear the sliding glass front door every time it opens all night long. It sounds like the room next to you is closing the window. Floor in the bathroom is warped and uneven.
Front desk staff were helpful.
Broken equipment in the fitness center. Only one entrance gait. Waited too long for pick up from airport. Over 30 minutes. Airport is only 2-3 miles away.
Wake up call ( 4 am) and free shuttle to the airport in the early hour
Air condition unit
The room was fine.
Cold food. Industrial eggs. Elevator broke with a man stuck for over an hour. People in the hallway all night talking.
Air conditioner sounded like a jet taking off. Complained and it was fixed. Then it only sounded like a bus revving its engine outside the window. Room smelled of tobacco smoke.
I liked the local 2 mile radius complimentary transportation.
I didn't like dish network television blackout of golden state warriors professional basketball game.
Staff was friendly and competent, the facility although an older model was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
Have no issues to report
The hotel is near the Oakland airport. The room and the bathroom were clean, the bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast was good for the price.
The carpets on the corridor were quite dirty.
During check-in staff seemed friendly and helpful. First impression of the room was fine. Breakfast typical continental, added potatos and beefsteak, coffee was quite ok, waffles nice.
Bedding was definatly not changed after previous customer and reception staff helpfulness was gone with the wind. Two calls to reception and no-one answered, so went down and as it turned out receptionist was rather busy with flirting. After explaining the situation they handed new sheets for me to change. In process it turned out that other beds pillowcases had little blood on it and this time reception answered the phone. After telling them how this is absolutly not acceptable, they sent staff to replace pillowcases aswell. After 12-hour flight it wasn't nice to deal with. Bathroom needs some work with showercurtain etc. During the rest of the trip didn't even consider staying in that chain again. Ok breakfast didnt compensate unclean sheets.
the room was good..
hall carpet needing cleaning badly....very dirty... live roaches in the bathroom
The proximity of hotel to where I needed to be; the bed was ultra comfortable.
The staff was not personable nor efficient. The common area was quite loud.
The front desk staff
Everything. Cars with out of state tags were being broken into. We were one of two in the same day....don't stay in Oakland
the Guy on the front desk was so helpful
I had my baby with me and my wife.. we was travelling from L.A to San Francisco by car. About 8 hours driving. And we had a flight after 6 hours. So we went to this hotel to sleep at least 5 or 4 hours.. Suddenly i found that our room contain about 10000 Bugs around us.. we didn't sleep at all. I moved my bags to my car and we slept there.
I could hear my neighbors trough the wall, cable wasn't kids friendly whatsoever, breakfast was horrible and the room smelled humid.
Pet friendly, Dailey breakfast, close to fast food facilities and shopping center
Brochure said heated pool and hot tub. Neither one was heated. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk manager, I was told that the brochure was not accurate, no heated pool , hit tub was broken. But she still left it on the counter, so if another traveler came in they would still be looking at a brochure that was not accurate, and like me, would only find out after check-in.
The breakfast selection and front desk staff.
Nothing was clean...the hotel is extremely dated. Our car was broken into at the Dennys around the corner. Another guest car was broken into at the hotel itself.Beware! After speaking ti the locals, smash and grabs happen at this hotel and local resturants everyday. Dont stay in Oakland! I will never go back....
Close to interstate. We needed to be in the surroundings for a couple of days and this hotel was a good choice.
It served it's purpose. And I ran into a fav Aunt at breakfast. So that made it great
Call at 3 by mistake No soap
Close to everything
The hotel is located within walking distance to the collesium and the bart. The check in staff was friendly enough.
The hallway leading to our room on the third floor smelled of urine. The bed was moderately hard. When we checked out we asked for a cab and the concierge called a limo. A 5 ride to our next hotel ended up costing us $44! While the hotel was fine for the price, the staff shouldn't inadvertantly or otherwise let the city's tourists get screwed in the next vendor's hands.
The airport/BART shuttle
Nowhere to eat dinner late nearby on foot.
