Location excellent, room, bed, very good, exercise facility was small but adequate. Breakfast was very good. Staff was okay, not overly friendly. Room was kept very clean.
No onsite dining facilities. Very little 'what's happening' in NYC this week type information was available at the hotel.
Great location & helpful staff. 100 yds from Metro stop, 200 from JC Penney & Manhattan Mall & 300 yds from Macy's huge store. One street away from Empire State and just around corner from pickup for tour buses. Yes, great location.
NYC was just a bit too big for my wife & I. 5 day visit was enough.
Great location, we could see the Empire State Building from our bedroom window! super comfy beds! Great contential breakfast, perfect for what we needed. Wifi was a great bonus. The bus shuttle to the airport was very reasonable also. Really can't fault the place & would definitely recommend & would definitely stay here again.
We were there for ten days and had a roomy space that was really quiet, no sirens! Lovely staff and housekeeping keep everything clean and tidy.Handy to everything, Empire State Building around the corner, Macy's a five minute walk away...They even have there own rooftop bar for a quiet drink at the end of the day. Subway at the corner of the street as well with lots of food options around. Value for money.
Nothing really. As an Australian we are used to a small refrigerator or bar fridge being part of the room but you can 'rent' a fridge and microwave (for a fee obviously) which was nice so we could have some fruit and yoghurt, etc.
Bed was very comfortable, room clean and appeared to be recently updated. Good location
Small room but typical for the area.
Location, location, location - close to everything and very easy to get around and just a short walk to Penn Station. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast in spacious surroundings would most definitely stay there again.
No complaints at all.
Maid who took care of our room was very nice.
Noise from outside. No listing of TV channels. No instructions for clock radio (ipad charger). No night stand with light next to one side of bed.
Free wi-fi Breakfast included
Very tiny room (the Queen)
PROXIMITY TO 34TH STREET & SUBWAY
32nd STREET IS NOISY AND VERY UGLY. ELEVATORS ARE SLOW BREAKFAST IS LOUSY AND IN A CROWDED ENVIRONMENT.
Lovely rooftop bar
Cocktails not great
Breakfast can improve
Room cleaned every day with fresh towels, staff were very friendly! Excellent location.
Nice rooms, good free breakfast, helpful concierge. Great location with nearby access to subway lines. Excellent rooftop bar with larger than life view of the Empire State Building
No hotel shuttle.
We loved the location (literally around the corner from Macy's, next to a major subway station), the beds (super soft and comfy!), the cleanliness (our housekeeper was absolutely lovely!) and the little personal touches (in terms of toiletries etc). The room we had was very small, but it did have two queen beds in and New York is a place where space is at a premium! Breakfast is a small basic affair, adequate enough to get you started in the morning though!
The top-floor bar, although probably great in the summer when you can make use of the spacious open air section, is itself almost wedged into the end of a corridor with a few seats lining the edge. The lifts (elevators) were a total farce - there are only two, and one is used a lot by staff going about their daily tasks (ie: taking out rubbish and moving stuff between floors) this means that often you will be waiting an absolutely age for a lift, or you just end up using the stairs. Not so much an issue if you're on the 4th floor, but a bit of a pain if your on the 10th.
The new look of the hotel.
The breakfast and the location, the room service and cleanliness was good. The wifi in the lobby was good, the bed was comfy and the room had everything you needed including a safe.
The room was very small and too close to others doors when people returned late at night and slammed their doors you literally felt it. The wifi in our room on the 9th floor was non-existant you had to go down to the lobby. There was some form of noisy fan which sounded continuously at night and the room had no view at all. The price was more than indicated on the booking.com website after all the different taxes.
The breakfast. Mix up with the prepaid Taxi fare to JFK Airport
comfy beds and wifi
noise, broken down elevator, price benefit ratio bad, poor breakfast..
Hotel right next to Empire State Building. 10 mins walk to Times Square. Close to subway. Great location. 12th Floor very quiet and room a really good size. Coffee in room and free wifi a bonus. Bar on roof nice but small
Memory foam mattress, I loved it but husband not so keen. Breakfast choice very limited and eating area could get very crowded.
The bed was comfortable
the elevators were very slow and only one working.
- Location in NYC. -historic bldg, old Aberdeen hotel -excellent staff and facilities
WiFi reception was non-existent
The location was excellent and likewise the staff. Breakfast was simple and the the rooftop bar provided a nice atmosphere and a great view to the Empire State Building. The room we got was huge and so was the bathroom.
There were only 2 elevators to service 14 floors and they were extremely slow. To add to this one of them was undergoing service twice while we were there meaning there were only 1 running elevator making the waiting time very long.
