Nice property with olde world charm. Nice touch with Happy Hour each evening. Basic but adequate breakfast. Great location within walking distance to most attractions, restaurants, bars & shops. Would stay and recommend.
Rooms a tad smaller that you would expect for this kind of hotel.
Awesome location and service
Edit in front desk extremely helpful
Correct amount of wash clothes for a double queen room x
Lovely bedroom.....nice breakfast area....clean room....good location...nice staff
The lifts are very slow, takes up to 10 minutes for a lift to arrive . Our tv aerial and casing was broken and hanging out the wall, I spoke to customer services who stated they were updating the system. I asked why we had been put in a room where the tv didn't work and there was no reasonable answer given. They said maintenance would look at it that day. We came back later in the day, the casing was fixed but still no reception thus no tv. Also the pillows are very hard
The breakfast was good. The valet offer a shuttle service downtown which was excellent
The aircon and the fridge in my room were a bit noisy.
All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and the hotel was a haven to return to at the end of the day. The flavoured iced water in the lobby was delicious bonus after the heat.
Sometimes there is a bit of a wait for the elevators. It was minor and didn't occur often.
Loved the "happy hour," "cookies and milk" and the breakfasts were nice. On Sunday the breakfasts are even more elaborate. The staff is friendly- especially the valet and lounge staff. The location is in walking distance to many great restaurants and sites.
The bed was slightly uncomfortable. If we'd stayed longer i'm sure I would of got used to it.
When we booked in they were aware it was our honeymoon so they upgraded us to a suite. It was like our very own apartment in the hotel. The happy hour welcome drinks were a nice touch. You didn't just get them on your first night but every night. I loved the milk and cookies!! Such a lovely selection of cookies. The breakfast that was included which is virtually unheard of in America was very good. A vast selection of cereals, toast, bagels, muffins plus cooked selection and plenty of juices. The staff were excellent at heeling everything stocked up and clean. The hotel was very well situated. All in all we loved it here and could of stayed longer. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous.
Potatoes with breakfast were too spicy. TV pixeled but no one needed it.
Loved the views and surrounding modern art. Tons of windows in the room and cookies at night. Massive amounts of hot water which is really nice for people with long hair. Staff was wonderful. Valet parking was really fast even in the snow storm. Huge cheese plate for dinner.
Paid a premium price for a suite and my 12 year old child found drugs in the room, hotel staff was dismissive and offered free alcohol in return. Ordered a rollaway - received one in the middle of the night, but pillow and blanket were not delivered - despite repeated calls. Room service breakfast was supposed to be comped but upon checkout out, I found it wasn't - half the order wasn't delivered and what was delivered was cold. Cold french toast without syrup was awesome. Emailed hotel after checking out and was told that they would send gift certificate for free night - it's been a month and it still hasn't been received.
Very little. I guess the elevator wasn't as slow as expected.
Fun to be right in the heart of the city.
Single ply toilet paper
The staff was great, everyone was very helpful. The room had everything I could hope for.
Pillows weren't great, no usb charger, and pricey parking.
Friendly staff, great location, comfortable rooms.
the rooms were so clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The location is so near the sights of Dallas and lots of fun places within walking distance. Everything about our stay was just perfect!
We decided on a staycation in Dallas and at the time this seemed like it would be a great spot. The day was dreary, upon entering our very gray drab room we were seriously disappointed. The broken window added the final touch. It was like a sad small prison cell. We were hoping for maybe a little lavish. We didn't even stay the night. I basically wasted $187 bucks.
The lobby area is very nice.
The lobby was decent. The moment I stepped in elevators there was a stench. Very old, dirty, unappealing elevators. We were on the 21st floor. Rooms were stuffy with old carpet, old night stand with chipped wood (from use not purposely distressed). Colors on the wall were depressing. Water in the shower took forever to get hot ( we stayed in the winter time). The room had a overall dirty feel. The valet was not impressive. The only thing close to luxurious was the bathroom soap, it had a nice lather. I have no idea how this place has good ratings or how it calls itself "luxurious boutique". Stay elsewhere if you want luxury. And Magonlia Hotel owners/ management get it together. Update your stuff and hire a better interior designer.
The location, the building itself is nice. . . from the outside.
The staff was rude. You should not have to get a manager to find out how to get an extra blanket. They could not find several of our reservations, even with our confirmation printed off. We were told we had cancelled them and there wasn't a room available for 3 different reservations. Then the manager came into the situation and our reservations miraculously appeared. For the $$$$ spent to stay there it was absolutely ridiculous to receive such poor customer service.
the location was nice. Great coffee shop attached.
The valet was ok not the best but ok
Great location. Next to Neiman Marcus flagship and close to arts and culture, easy access to several major freeways.
I would have liked to have had a fan in the room. I asked but it wasn't something they had. Other than that I woul change a thing.
I loved the staff. They were very helpful, and friendly. The front desk clerk ( I think his name was Kevin) called ahead to a restaurant he recommended and told them we were on our way and it was my birthday. They treated me and my best friend of 28 years like queens. I appreciate the extra effort that was given. The room was great with a great view. The amenities were very upscale and pleasant. Would definitely stay again if I have the chance.
breakfast was poor .Too much fat and carbohydrate. No options of fruits o more healthy products in a fat world
I like everything except breakfast
Extremely slow lifts, heavy amounts of dust around skirting boards on carpet. Low pressure shower. Expensive valet when the car park used is just across the street for Neumann Marcus and costs 3-10 usd. Whereas the hotel valet service is 27 usd per night !
Good view, comfortable bed, blackout blinds.
The queen suite was in need of a renovation (the carpet & settee were badly stained, the saucepans in the kitchen cupboard had food residue on them & the shower tray was peeling, which I assume has previously been painted).
The reception & bar area & ladies toilets are lovely, clean & modern. The staff were very friendly & helpful.
Location, view and refurbishment of the original building. The staff were helpful and pleasant.
Location Staff - Mackenzie &Kevin & check in desk personnel & valet staff were all very nice, professional and helpful. Free breakfast and evening reception were nice.
