I like everything except breakfast
breakfast was poor .Too much fat and carbohydrate. No options of fruits o more healthy products in a fat world
Good view, comfortable bed, blackout blinds.
Extremely slow lifts, heavy amounts of dust around skirting boards on carpet. Low pressure shower. Expensive valet when the car park used is just across the street for Neumann Marcus and costs 3-10 usd. Whereas the hotel valet service is 27 usd per night !
The reception & bar area & ladies toilets are lovely, clean & modern. The staff were very friendly & helpful.
The queen suite was in need of a renovation (the carpet & settee were badly stained, the saucepans in the kitchen cupboard had food residue on them & the shower tray was peeling, which I assume has previously been painted).
Location, view and refurbishment of the original building. The staff were helpful and pleasant.
Location Staff - Mackenzie &Kevin & check in desk personnel & valet staff were all very nice, professional and helpful. Free breakfast and evening reception were nice.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and well located in Dallas. The bar area was spacious and pleasant. Happy hour offers guests free drinks which was a bonus and with the lift renovations we were given extra drink tickets, so were able to drink in the bar during our stay at no extra cost! The cookies and milk at night were a nice touch as well. Breakfast was also good and the gym was well equipped. All in all everything you want from a hotel and more.
Me and my husband truly enjoyed this hotel and would go to this hotel again with no hesitation.
entrance inside room hallway needed lights.
We stayed at the Magnolia hotel just before Christmas and could not have been happier with our stay. The number one strength of this hotel is its staff. Marco checked us in in a friendly and efficient manner and all his front desk colleagues were helpful with any requests we had. The bar staff were also very engaging and welcoming and we got to know many such as Anthony on a first name basis. Room service was always done very well and at a suitable time. The hotel provide very generous extras also. The free bar happy hour was very popular, and they provided us with extra drinks tickets. They also provide tea and biscuits at night and took us to the Mavericks game in their shuttle. These generosities along with the friendly staff create a really warm atmosphere in the hotel, which made it one of the most memorable we have stayed in. (Just a note on the elevators which have been noted in some reviews. We stayed for a week and there was no issue at all during the week. We would never have thought about the elevators other than we had read these reviews. They were busier at weekends but the wait was two or three minutes at most.) The hotel is very well located. The DART is a good, reliable public transport system located only a few streets away. There are a number of good restaurants nearby and Dealey Plaza is about a fifteen minute walk. The city of Dallas is very friendly as a whole, and also more reasonably priced than some US cities. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. I hope I will return to Dallas in the future and I will certainly stay at the Magnolia if I do.
Our daughter and friend stayed for a Mavs game. We called ahead and staff took extra care of our girl's.
The hotel is beautiful, beyond belief. The staff was so nice. Even just stepping out the doors someone was asking how they could direct our trip to make it extra special. The view from level 21 was so breath taking. I loved every minute of it.
They are still updating their elevators, but me and my girlfriend were in no rush.
Breakfast was good. They offered milk and cookies at night but I was never there to take advantage of it. I booked this hotel because the prices were lowered.
I think the prices were lowered because the elevators were bein worked on. Though I never saw one maintenance person, two or three of the five or six elevators were closed. This causes a longer wait for the elevator but with a discounted price, i wasn't going to complain. Once they get all elevators operational, this will be fantastic.
The whole experience from parking to checkout was wonderful. Would stay here again. Great atmosphere.
everything was perfect
Kitchen lights didn't work.
Beautiful hotel. Great experience. Loved the cookies and milk.
Would of liked a king sized bed.
Staff, lovely building, comfortable, cozy rooms.
With such a lovely building and the history of the structure, I would expect a better bar or lounge. Feels like an after thought. We were there New Year's Eve and after coming back from dinner we'd love to have stayed at the hotel bar to ring in the new year. We had to venture out to a tavern (which was cool), but our preference would have been to stay at the hotel bar then pop upstairs to our room.
I love the happy hour reception, cookies at bedtime and breakfast. The hotel was clean and the staff was pleasant.
The hotel is older than the Magnolia's that I am familiar with. The elevators were suuuuuper slow and old but they gave you drink vouchers for the inconvenience.
Our last stay at the Magnolia 6 months ago was excellent - this was a little disappointing. The free drinks reception in the evening is excellent. The milk & cookies at night are a nice feature
The lifts were being modernised 6 months ago, but little progress appears to have been made. The range of choices at the buffet breakfast seems to have reduced over the past six months
Beautiful hotel, free happy hour, cookies and milk at bed time, abd excellent location.
No 24 hour room service
Everything. The staff, the food, the generous breakfast. This was my second stay and I will be back again.
The bed was really hard, not what I'm use to but has a good nights sleep. In room WiFi was sketchy.
The bed and room.
Located in the heart of the city and easily acess to almost everywhere
Staff are not friendly
We had a suite and the room was great as we were there with another couple. Plenty of room for drinks and snacks before we went out for the evening.
Elevators took forever, they had signs that they were being worked on and were sorry for the delay.
The size of the suite and amenities! Location
the wifi lacked in service couldnt hold a solid video call for business it was cutting out on my end and was hard for anyone to hear me without cutting out!
