I loved the Happy Hour that they offered each night along with the milk and cookies=) The bed was very comfortable and the location was perfect!
Free drinks and milk and cookies.
Breakfast buffet was weak
very friendly staff and accomodations were great! LOVED the huge soaking tub (although offering bubble bath would have been a nice touch) and the pillows were luxurious!!!
The elevators are SUPER slow (they are working on getting new ones)....and there were no country music channels on the tv (we're in Texas!!)
The location is really the only good thing about it.
How expensive that tiny room was and how unhelpful staff was
Location, big of room, price, friendly helpful staff.
Loud plumbing through the night, un-vacuumed carpets, dangerously tepid breakfast buffet is a health hazard, well worn fixtures and fittings let the place down. A bit of investment could make this a genuinely impressive hotel.
Staff so helpful and always with a smile. Nice comfy rooms old charm hotel. V. Good location for all attractions. Cookies and milk at night a nice touch.
Wonderful bed, quiet room, and blackout shades = best hotel sleep ever. Love the wine reception and full buffet breakfast. The hotel is festively decorated, and I enjoyed the jazzy holiday music. Staff is friendly and helpful, shuttling us to and from our event, slipping us extra drink tickets, and recommending a great restaurant. I will stay again and recommend the Magnolia to friends.
On arrival, one of our rooms was not ready so we put all the luggage in one room and waited in the lounge. When the room was finally ready, the toilet overflowed and flooded the entire room, resulting in another shuffle. This set a less-than-ideal tone for our visit. The room rate itself was good; multiple taxes, fees, and valet parking quickly jack up the bill, but the free breakfast and Wi-Fi make you feel a bit better about it.
Nice facility, centrally located, friendly and courteous staff. It's a nice and comfortable space that has a good feeling.
Some of the secondary areas are a little tired and need to be refurbished. Very slow elevators.
Bathroom was great, and I liked the walk into the room. Very comfortable stay.
hotel is good and staff good
Poor breakfast Terribel elevator
The location was fantastic for our needs. The staff very helpful. Breakfast was great and also great restaurants within walking distant. Recommend the Fish Market for 5 star food and service. If you after the usual large American deal in food this is a real resturant that provides what I call real food. I would stay in this hotel and would like to say a big thankyou to the staff as they worked very hard to make everyone happy. Very busy week and weekend. Lots happening in town.
I would have liked milk or half and half in the fridge as I don't do powdered milk but did get some from the cookie and milk stand in the evening so not a big one.,
I really liked the pillows. :-) They were super soft and they had plenty of them. I also liked the first room I stayed in...it literally was surrounded by windows on almost every side. It was awesome! TV options were great and the WiFi was very fast.
I stayed here 2 different times in the same week. Both times were different rooms. In both room, the beds were very hard. :-( There was a loud squealing sound next to one room, and the other room had a loud buzzing noise. The noise lasted ALL night. (I stayed on different floors and the rooms were in different locations) My second room had a poor layout. All the lights and the full length mirror were in a FAR corner blocked by a couch, and desk. Kinda weird place to put a full length mirror. Also, the bathtubs are VERY slippery when you get in to take a shower. Be careful!
Good location Well kept
Comfortable, clean rooms and good location in downtown Dallas.
Very expensive printing service. The magnetic cards needed to enter the hotel room was deactivated few times during my stay.
Location, Location, Location. This Hotel has it all. Cocktail reception, Milk and cookies before bed. Within walking distance to many shopping and dining choices.
Elevator's were being renovated during our stay. This made for a little wait during peak times.
Clean facilities, exceptional workout room.
Elevators are painfully slow. Choose a room on a lower floor or else you will be waiting atleast 10 min for an elevator
Everything, room was luxurious, food was great and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Decor. Ambience. Location. No problem with lifts as we had read a bit about them being slow. We didn't find this at all.
Nothing - no faults
Loved "The Reception" happy hour special at the restaurant and bar. The room decor was fabulous and the view was great! Comfortable bed and great staff!
Elevators could be a little slow in opening once you reached your floor. Was afraid at one point the doors would not open, but this seems to be a minor problem and repairs were being addressed on an ongoing basis.
Everything was great from the time I walked in and greeted with great customer service until I had to leave... the room was gorgeous and so was the view. I will definitely come back.
I liked its old school charm.
The lifts were terrible. I think it's really sad to have such a gem and not be taking better care of it. Having stayed for 6 days, I heard so many people complain and at one point it took someone 13 minutes to get on. People were getting in above the 10 person capacity which was creating a safety risk and I just don't think it was a real priority for management. I thought those signs were a bit patronising, given the circumstances. It's not like everyone was on holidays so what's an extra 20 minutes. To have a building like this I think you are responsible to the society for maintaining it to the highest level. It is a major attraction in Dallas and that says it all. I feel sorry for the front line staff dealing with the complaints. If not fixing them was about money, then the issues and frustration experienced but some visitors wasn't worth the savings you made.
Liked the milk/cookies perk and the happy hr free drinks
Queen beds are a little small for two people
I have not a single complaint about the hotel. I loved it from the moment I walked in and got a wiff of the scent that is in the ventilation system. My only suggestion is that you start selling that scent!!! The free breakfast was wonderful. I loved the milk and cookies. It was just a great stay. Thank you!!!
I wanted to buy the scent in the ventilation system. You should really think about having a gift shop.
