The location of the hotel is great! The style is charming and our room was not very small. The reception staff were friendly and supportive. It was possible to organize the shuttle to the airport for a reasonable price.
The window in the room was facing the wall and there was no view at all. Voices of neighbors were very clearly heard in the evening. The breakfast room is too small and food could be better.
Pleasant staff. Location excellent.
Breakfast could have been better.
The fact that there wasn't any fan was a little bummer
Price was too high for this old building
The staff was friendly and the location was perfect! Getting around was pretty easy from here.
It could be a tad bit cleaner…
Location and bedroom size very good
Shower was poor due to lack of temperature and pressure control. Considering the charge of room was almost double due to a conference in city, the breakfast was lacking....
ease to transportation, location great for most major areas, cost is relatively inexpensive for city locations--on busy street, but noise level very low---staff very helpful
rooms are dated---linens and towels need updating--when wash cloth wet could see right through it-TV had to be adjusted each time turned on--most would have had to call room service to correct problem each time TV turned on
Great location in Lombard Street. Comfortable Bed.
Very ordinary facilities. No parking at all.
EVERYTHING, it was gross and dirty
I like the location, close to pier 39, and close to water ;) close to park and good ride in the bike to see Golden Gate Bridge, breakfast was small, but good .
Parking !! Parking !! Very hard to find parking spot, Room very small, but cozy , bathroom way to small, hard time to take shower too.
Staff were nice when asked questions. They were gracious enough to move me from a noisy room on the main street.
Felt like a very transactional place. Rooms pretty small but well appointed. I'd say it was expensive for the value.
Regular value for money even in San Francisco which we all know is an expensive place.
no air conditioning in the room, breakfast was very limited and poor
Good location. Cheaper as more hotels at the same place.
The rooms are really very small. The furniture is 50 years old. Street noice in rooms.
Street noise is very loud
Reasonable price Lovely and helpful staff Small rooms but comfortable Close to public transport free wifi
No air conditioning (but husband liked that lol)
Staff and location
Breakfast room too small with inadequate seating otherwise breakfast fine - self service
bed was very comfortable, location was pretty good, fairly low cost parking garage only couple of blocks away at $22 for 24 hours, and several small bars close by
place was fairly dingy looking on the outside, and the main desk and surrounding areas were only slightly better, but our room was a deluxe queen, but more likely a king bed and was pretty clean, and it wasn't too far to walk to fisherman's wharf...cabbed back after dinner...would have been nice to have parking on site (we got lucky and had a free spot for 3 days out of 4)...just ask front desk about it
Helpful front desk staff and being able to walk to most places from hotel.Affordable parking for our car at the Lombard Garage
Traffic noise from Lombard Street and not much ventilation
King size bed was comfortable
LOUD street noise day and all night Filthy public areas, carpet was disgusting "breakfast" was toast and old bananas, coffee was ok I realize this is San Fran, but this was way too expensive
Cost & proximity.....comfy bed.
Breakfast was ok but dining room was too small & never any tables available. Very noisy as our window was right near a back lane to a business next door. Once I put ear plugs in was a lot better.
The location is good, staffs are helpful
There is no air condition in the room which is quite disappointing. It's still hot in late Sep. No AC neans u have to open ur door overnight which is noisy and insecure.
horrible pillows, no spare pillows with staff, no AC and 80F, could not sleep. The Bed was mushy and old. Hot bedding.
Good location. Wifi worked well. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Room was described as 'spacious' but was cramped and rather dark. No air-con, no coffee. Looked a bit run down and smelled unpleasant. Very over-priced for the quality of accommodation.
Location, friendly and helpful staff, television, mini fridge, old style building, breakfast - great tea and coffee.
No air conditioning, room didn't get cleaned one day.
