Everything about this place from our experience at the front desk to the pool staff to housekeeping was top notch. The room was clean and well maintained, the lobby was grand with great services. It's an easy walk to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell
Expensive Wifi. Seriously expensive.
It's ok everything
Noisy room next door woke us up for an hour at 5:00 AM screaming, cackling, and wresting around the room as they had just returned drunk from the bar.
I loved that that everything was near the hotel.
overpriced and charged extra for almost everything
We liked the convenience if being so close to the reading terminal market
Great place. Fantastic location check in and check out fast and easy. Very clean and comfortable. On our trip to Philadelphia we will definitely be staying here.
The self parking in the parking garage. A little expensive to have to park your own car
I called the night before to get directions and the concierge heard I was bringing my 3-year old daughter. "We're having a big Indian wedding and there's going to be an elephant out front! Try to get here by noon!" Really pleasant staff all throughout the hotel. Would happily stay again.
We were charged for an extra night after we left. We called multiple times and no one could give us a straight answer and were borderline rude.
all think are ok: room, staff, breakfast, ...
WIFI isn't free in the room
The hotel is in the perfect location. You can walk to most tourist attractions in Philadelphia.
There tends to be guests from whatever event is going on in Philly. When I was there it was a huge music festival (a lot of young partiers!).
Noisy room on a quiet floor. *Ironic*
Room smelled musty on first entrance.
At check in they did not find my booking reservation and they have asked me to contact booking !! I think I should not fix their mistake. At first they put me in a room that was right under they gym and was so noisy. When I spoke to them no one in 1st night mentioned that, I had to suffer for two nights before moving me to another room.
The location is great! The hotel is beautiful. The check in/out staff is so courteous and actively making an effort to make the process so easy.
The housekeeping staff was on our floor during our weekend stay was unacceptable. We notified the maid in the hallway when we were leaving and she told us due to the high volume of guests that weekend, they weren't cleaning all rooms but only leaving clean towels and taking out garbage. 1. This was untrue, as our friends staying across came home to a clean room. 2. our fresh towels were carelessly thrown on the toilet 3. the garbage was not taken out. 4. no new toilet paper. In addition, when we called for toilet paper than night, it never came and when prompted, staff said "5 more minutes". We ended up having to go downstairs to get the rolls of toilet paper. This is unacceptable. This hotel is better than this. It really caused a sore on our stay. Especially because we knew what the contrast of attention the other rooms were receiving.
I liked the location, very close to shopping and dining.
For the amount of money we paid each night...I think a refrigerator would have been expected to have, however, there wasn't and I was extremely disappointed with that. Also, paying $50 a night for parking in the hotel was beyond my price point.
The hotel was fair. The room and the bathroom appeared a bit dated. However, the bed was extremely comfortable. The lobby was too crowded; reminded me of Grand Central. Overall it was a fair, clean, comfortable hotel.
Too crowded and dated
My family and I literally spent less than 24 hours on property. We checked in at 9:30pm and checked out around 10:30am. My dad and I walked around Market Street in the evening and then to Dunkin Donuts in the morning. After check out we walked thru Reading Terminal Market.
I requested an early check in but didn't get a response back from the hotel whether or not they could accomondate the request. The light bulb on the desk was out which made the room kind of dark. Valet parking was full, so we had to park across the street in public parking(it was cheaper then valet).
My 3rd stay at this hotel! Always consistent in service, room cleanliness. ALthough a large hotel, still gives intimate feeling of a boutique hotel. Definitely my "GO-TO" Philadelphia Hotel. Train from airport is direct, hotel is across from reading station, walking distance to historical PHiladelphia/Fairmount Park Area/ Museums. PHLASH Bus is outside main door if you do not wish to walk (great for my 70 yr old mother ) Although I didn't come to Philadelphia for shopping, Rittenhouse Square shopping district is not far. My kids (11 and 15) and I were in the city to visit museums -history and art.
n/a-Loved pretty much everything!
Extra charge for parking and wifi
Location was excellent.
Crowded everywhere with conference people.
Nice place to stay!
Paying extra for parking.
If you have business in the Philedlephia Convention Center this hotel should be your choice. It is connected via a sly bridge as well as being in the heart of Center City.
walking distance to most places of interest, close to the Reading terminal Market and good restaurants close by.
People friendly, prompt service to get my car, and all of my needs were satisfied.
