The construction at the street level is a major inconvenience. We were at the same hotel in March and there has been no progress in the renovation of the ground level and the whole immediate area of Times Square.
rooms are big, beds are comfy and the breackfast was fantastic
prices in general are high
Housekeeping are lousy in attitude. They also bang the door as if there was a fire every day early morning (arround 8:15-8:30) wanting to clean the room.
Great location, great beds and pillows. concierge very helpful and friendly, sound proofing from outside and inside the hotel was excellent.
The lift system was different and were left waiting for long periods sometimes trying to get down to the street level.
Very close to all Broadway Theaters, Times Square, multiple subway lines and the TKTS booth. The room was clean and surprisingly spacious for a NYC hotel room. We never saw or needed to speak with any hotel staff, that was a good thing I guess!
Due to construction, it was impossible to see the signage for the hotel. It took quite a bit of wandering around before we realized where the entrances to the hotel were located. Elevators were crowded and the circulation pattern is confusing. Congestion on the first floor was dangerous at times. We only interacted with hotel staff once, at check in. The hotel could use some crowd control around the first floor elevators. At both entrances you have to go through a huge smoky gauntlet to get in the hotel.
Breakfast Easy check in Easy check out Lounge Shows and sightseen booking agency in the lobby Friendly concierge Outstanding Bill captain services (they truly care about their customers) Large Hotel in an excellent location
Little bit expensive (room rate, food, internet)
Had a double room with a Time Square view. Comfortable basic room and quieter then expected. The staff was excellent and location was unbeatable.
The room should have a refrigerator. They say available on request. But the room should already have a refrigerator to keep all your leftovers from the dozens of great restaurants in the area along with cold drinks.
Hotel location, cleanliness, customer service
Pricing was a bit high
The location was great! Close to Broadway shows, resturants and shopping. Also, a short taxi or subway ride to Ground Zero and other attractions. The View lounge on the roof top was a place to meet our friends. The cocktails and hot buffet was just enough to hold us until going out on the town.
The elevators were usually fine, however on the last day the wait was over 20 minutes. Finally resorted to getting on one going up, as they did not stop on the way down.
The location you can't beat; surrounded by Broadway shows, best place to start a city tour, close to wonderful restaurant and close to all the shopping. The hotel has great views and the staff very helpful and accommodating.
Didn't like the restaurant on the top if the hotel. Yes it had a great view of the city and wonderful location for cocktails, but the food was terrible quality, not edible. Yes it was over $300 for 2 people and the best part was the wine. The staff at the restaurant never came around we had chase after them.
I love this hotel! I have been to NYC many times but this was my first time to stay at the Marriott Marquis. The staff was extremely helpful. The room was big with a view of Times Square. I will never stay any place else!
I liked Breakfast and their staff. I liked location . easy to find out the shopping places from the hotel.
I don't like to pay WiFi charge . it should be available in the room . this is for guest to make them happy.,
Check in was easy Management were really helpful Got an upgraded room to a suite for free
The staff in the 'show case' bar (right at the top) were the most ignorant I've ever encountered. Shameful. The only good thing that came out of it was the Duty Manager who pacified us with some drinks in the lobby bar. Okay; but not ideal The front of the hotel is currently a building site! The hotel is very 90's and needs a serious overhaul soon
Location and friendliness of all staff members
In such a major hotel WIFI should be free. Pillows are too soft.
Right at Times Square BUT booked a 'Times Square view room' but the view was not actually Times Square itself just a lot of adjacent. Lights.
There was NIL - ZERO - personalised attention. The 'hotel' was totally focussed on 'events' not staying customers I won't be back!
Location. Staff EVERYWHERE polite, helpful, friendly; a pleasure to deal with.
Please include soup in menu. Laundry would not be picked up on time and NEVER delivered in boxes, despite many written instructions, phone calls even. No 24 hour restaurant.
Everything was complete perfect place for perfect vacation
Ease of registration, the ability to check in early, connoisseur service was very helpful in various ways, house keeping was excellent!
We were dropped off on seventh ave from the airport because of renovation, very difficult getting bags across 7 and 45th. Price of items in your hotel store on 8 were too expensive but glad it was available.
If you are looking for a hotel in the middle of everything this is a good place to stay. Centrally located so we were able to get around easily. There are a lot of great restaurants in the area to walk to.
Parking and Wi Fi were too expensive.
Paid Wifii.. I would like to have free wifi
Location was very good
Price was too high per room, should be less
Proximity to theater district. Concierge service. Business center.
Location was nice, the facilities are nice as well
Very expensive They charge for everything , even for some cutlries $5 per order. Internet charges are very expensive.
My Partner was not feeling well.they recommend a Dr and called twice to check if we need any assistant Size of the room is great Express checkout
The room was a bit dusty near the tv and side table I had to wait for about 45 min for a person to come and take my luggage
