Sitting by the fireplace in the restaurant with a nice glass of wine and great food!
There was nothing that I did not like
The staff went out of their way to accommodate our wedding party! We can't wait to come back.
Our stay was pleasant, it was quite and comfortable. Though the accommodation's were a bit small. If I had anything negitve to say it would be that the sliding door was difficult to slide. Other than that the stay was very nice. The pool area was constructed nicely. The restaurant had a very nice selection of food with a number of vegetarian items. The art work through out was nice as well. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Michael Sullivan
The sliding door to the bathroom was difficult to slide and blocked access to the closet when open a bit awkward.
Staff was so helpful, gave us ideas what to do, gave us a ride to the boardwalk and picked us up..very helpful, great people..
Nature theme. Very chic and modern. Clean. Easy access to downtown.
Room was fairly small. Could tell it was a renovated motel. Definitely not worth $200 a night but probably one of the nicer places in Santa Cruz .
The pool and hot tub were amazing, and the food at Solaire was great too.
Really nice hotel. All worked smoothly. Not cheap, but then a bit of fancy design and efficient operation takes some cost.
Minimalism, modern, european, continental breskfast
Noisy lift schacht, poor wifi, rooms to small, people walking by the windows
Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, beds comfy, pool and hot tub heated. Food and cocktails very agreeable.
Standard king room is tiny, tiny, tiny. Nowhere to sit other than bed. No centrally located lobby seating area. No place to watch early morning news other than bar which is not open. No coffee, juice or other minimal breakfast items.
The restaurant was good
Room was stuffy. There are no windows so had to prop the door open
The location is great and the facilities are nice. Heated pool is wonderful. The staff was very accommodating.
They put is in a nice ground floor room next to the pool. They didn't tell is that there would be a pool party with serious bass pumping when we checked in, despite the fact that we were with a small child. The music was so loud that we called the desk to move rooms. At first they didn't want to incovienience other guests by moving us, but then they moved us to the other side of the building.
I had requested a first floor poolside room because I had my kids and my husband is unable to walk distances. My room was changed without any problems. We loved the mini patio with the chairs. We enjoyed the live music from the party at the pool.
The gym was unavailable to use Sat morning.
Poolside bar, food, drinks, room, design
Parking fee should not exist .
Great hotel, friendly staff. I recommend this to anyone.
Wifi was really bad, it would cut in and out constantly.
Friendly staff Delicious piña coladas by the pool Quiet room Great bathroom furnishings
Lots of families A bit too far inland
Clean, modern, good food/bar
Overpriced. 300$ a night is steep. Should be 125-150 a night and I would stay more often
close to shopping and the hotel and room was very clean
room was small and cramped the counter staff did not tell us that they charged for parking until check-out and the air did not work the room was hot and stuffy had to prop open the door to get air flow. I will never go back
Great location. Easy to get to CA-1 Restaurant was excellent.
Pool, excellent service ,
Particularly liked the decor! Smart, sophisticated, modern and comfortable.
making us pay for parking . There were tons of parking spots and I felt like it was a last minute unnecessary fee. This is different in big cities like San Francisco but at Hotel Paradox there was a big vast parking lot that was not filled.
the shuttle service droped me off exactly where I needed to go.
I couldn't get the coffee maker to work in my room
Room excellent, pool wonderful, as was staff - always willing to meet your requests. Food way above average - room service fast. Heartily recommended.
Wifi cut out depending on location, often did not work in room.
Nice clean hotel!
The pool party on Sunday, loud music and overtook the pool area, we had young kids with us.
