Style of the hotel and the friendly staff. Great restaurant. Clean stylish rooms.
Bed was a bit hard. We both woke up with back aches. We hoped the hot tub would be open later than 10pm.
Staff was super friendly and accomodating. The location couldn't have been better. We walked to Pacific for shopping and restaurants. Clean and comfortable rooms. I'd definitely stay here again!
Pool Area, Bar Staff nice
drunken people coming back late at night, use the backsider entry 5-10 times, laugh and scream and have great fun at 1.30 am.
Everything! Wonderful stay, hotel located right in the heart of town....walked to beach and downtown, park in back of hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find a Keurig coffee maker in our room. We stayed by the pool and had a little patio with chairs. The hotel restaurant, Solaire, serves delicious food. Modern hotel with friendly atmosphere. Will definitely stay again....
Parking was a problem. The hotel has a conference center so during an event the lot is full. We had to use the valet service because there were no spots....
This is a unique, modern, sleek property--a reimagined former Holiday Inn. It's a higher-level experience, more than you would expect in this beachside tourist area of small pricey so-so motels.
It needs a deep Spring cleaning: there were minor faded stains on chairs and carpet due to prior guests. The newness of this 2-3 yr-old hotel is wearing off a bit.
That it was a very unique property. We had not stayed in a chic boutique before. They had fabulous macaroni and cheese!!!!!
I can't think of anything.
The sliding door to the bathroom is incredibly loud and the toilets sound like a jet taking off everytime you flush. We could hear neighboring rooms flush and it would wake us up.
friendless of all the stuff, good recommendation about the restaurants around and things we could do in a short 2 days we were there, easy going but very professional! I work in a hotel and a restaurant so I look for certain things and I was extremely pleased to have such a great experience , we be back on my BDay in August, hope to find a good room, we are coming with my son and our 2 grandkids ;) ; as well I just recommend your hotel to everyone I work with ;))
can't think about it
little white squirrels. the amazing front desk reception area. bookshelves filled with unjudge-able books. the conference room that gives the illusion of being in the middle of the redwoods. the aesthetics here are fantastic.
the pool/firepit area closed down at 10. That just felt a bit too early. but i know that is somewhat standard at hotels.
-location was great, can walk easily into downtown if you don't feel like driving and finding parking. -room was comfortable. we got an upgrade I think because we asked for a crib and it was low season. Otherwise, we might have gotten a smaller room (mini king) where there won't be space for a crib. I peered into a mini king room, it was really small!
no place to have our mini lunch that we didn't buy from the restaurant, had to eat in the room :(
Decor, uniqueness, everything worked and in good condition
Great layout, visually appealing, pool & bar integrated, wonderful staff...no complaints...I live in NYC and have seen a lot of hotels
The design is very original and creative. Nice shower, bathroom fixtures, cool lighting, beautiful pool and restaurant, great staff!
The bed was hard as a rock, shower didn't drain, heater/ac didn't work properly, stains on carpet and chairs, no microwave, refer not cold.
The room was beautiful and the staff was really friendly. The food was fantastic as well. We really loved the update that was done to the place, and the decor was perfect.
During our stay a couple entered our locked room because the desk had given them a key to our room and booked them in our room. We had already been in the room for a while. It was VERY awkward. I am just glad that we were decent.
The pool, spa, and fire pit were great along with the poolside service provided by John D! He really takes pride in his service with a great attitude. Rooms were great.
WIFI is horrible. Almost no bandwidth in our room (top floor). Common guys, you can buy a repeater for $40 at Fry's. This is absolutely the worst WIFI experience and I was only checking emails. Really poor!
Room décor hotel décor staff attitude bar pool area room layout free wifi location of hotel welcome free shuttle within 3 mile radius warm fire with seating area in bar
guest laundry would be great
The room is very comfortable. You can make your own coffee with a good espresso machine. Swimming pool with warm water. Jacuzzi. Breakfast. The architecture of the building. Location.
Lugage with wheels make a lot of noise on the concrete hallway. The way from the room to the main building can be cold, very windy and wet.
From the front desk clerks to the cleanliness of the room....everything is top notch. This was our second time staying here and it won't be the last.
King size bed was very hard. Nice mattress topper would have helped. However, I am spoiled because we have a Sleep Number bed. Some folks may like the very firm mattresses.
Superb friendly staff, nice updated decor, execelent food in the onsite restaurant. Heated pool was a godsend... Will stay again
- no complimentary breakfast
Room was cozy Elevators were very responsive Liked the bed side lighting/switch off and the night light in the bathroom
No complimental breakfast The door to the bathroom and the closet doors interferred with each other Parking was extra
Comfortable beds modern decor safe facility
Our neighbors must have been smoking marijuana because the room smelled of marijuana through the vents
Loved the patio pool area.
Wish the hot tub was open later.
Elegant but not stuffy atmosphere.
Paying for parking.
Love the love desk, a repurposed Eucalyptus log and the natural accents used throughout the hotel and grounds. The pool and hot tub are awesome!
