Clean, stylish if not tiny.
A Lot of money for a tiny room - i dont usually mind small rooms but this was truly mini! A less hefty price tag and it would have been fine.
Bathroom floor is always wet. Dark.
The lack of a bar fridge.
Great location. Good for a short stay Wi-fi worked well
Great location, small rooms but very clean and very comfortable. We stayed in a few different hotels while in NYC and found this one to be a lot more quiet than the others.
The overall was good.
One of my stuffs went missing from the room the day before my check out and the staff does not seem to be helpful or responsible.
Spent 20 nights in Pod 51. My husband and I liked the location since it had a lot of restaurants around the area. Subway stations were close by making it convenient for us to go around ny. Booked a room with private bath and toilet and was surprised that it was bigger than expected. We also liked that the rooms were kept clean at all times.
Wished that the room had a fridge.
The design was great - clever use of space
The heat was not yet on and the noisiness in the rooms meant that it was not the best night's sleep
Conveniently located, friendly staff & all expected services provided.
We expected a small room & received what we expected. Food concession in lobby was short of product due to a religious holiday. I would have planned around this.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Comfortable lounge area and nice garden. The bar was excellent, friendly staff and the food was good. Location was very good, lots of places to eat nearby, supermarket around the corner and an easy walk to Times Square.
Room was quite cold and the heater was noisy, would benefit from extra blankets. Was fine for me on my own but I wouldn't like the window between the bedroom and bathroom if I was sharing.
Concierge was lovely, friendly and helpful
I arrived at the hotel 8am, couldn't check in so came back just before 4pm and could not be checked in as the system had crashed. I then sat there along with many other guests for over 2 hours before we could check in. Finally once we checked in they gave me a voucher for a free drink - which surely should have been given to us while we were sitting around wasting time. It was really badly handled and I think shocking that it couldn't be done manually.
Great location for Midtown attractions and close to subway station for travel to 9/11 site and ferries to the Statue of Liberty. 24 hour diner around the corner for breakfast (especially when you wake up early due to time differences) and some great bars nearby. Hotel room was modern, clean and comfortable. It's size was the same as most European single rooms and fine for a holiday.
Shared shower / toilet not ideal but this was known about in advance and did not cause any major issues.
Location was great and staff very pleasant
Reservation system crashed thus 3 hour wait to check in! Staff was good telling everyone waiting what the problem was but offered no solutions. Manual name taking with proof of reservations could have worked
Nice room - even though very small, good location, adjoining restaurant (pod@pod) was excellent.
Very noisy - metal doors on the rooms and shared bathrooms slammed all night echoing in the hallway. Very hot - the air conditioner was loud and blocked by the desk - so it was useless. These are two issues that the management could remedy and would really improve the hotel.
I like nothing of this hotel
The worst hotel I've ever seen in my life. The room was horrible. The bed for one person and not for a couple. It was against the wall, so one person must go over the other. The space was smaller than a monk's room. The individuals at the reception rude and not friendly at all. An hotel I will cancel from my list and I hope from my memories.
Traveling for business so I booked room with private bath. As long as you understand space constraints, this is a great value. Loved the location.
The rooms was very very small. The beds was to small for two people and very hard. The tv sucked it's was so small I watched movies on my iPhone. The price for such a small and poor room is ridiculous and we will not be back.
Loved the outdoor patio and rooftop deck!
Location.....close to my daughter.
The location and the French restaurant right next door.
The slamming of doors all night, maids vacuuming and slamming doors early in the morning, rude lady at the coffee bar, SMALL room and bathroom, hard, uncomfortable beds.
Small rooms. No toilets in the room
Location was good. The hotel offered free printing service and WiFi. Metro is approximately 5 mins Way by foot.
Rooms were too small and had no noise cancelation.
place was very clean, even the shared bathroom was always clean and spotless. Nice lounge with internet facility (plus a printer to print your boarding pass, if needed).
Street side rooms are quite noisy during night and early morning so not good for sleeping. The Wi Fi wasn't reliable in the room.
