First of all, even though we were in a non-smoking room, the third floor and elevator smelled of smoke. My son has asthma which caused difficulty for him. We were there from Monday to Friday. On Tuesday our room was not cleaned. The cleaning staff "accidentally" skipped our room. That evening our son lost his tooth. The tooth fairy left him a silver dollar. The next morning when we left for the day, he placed it on the right side of the dresser. We also left a pile of pennies, nickles, dimes, and quarters on the left side of the dresser. When we returned to our room that evening, the 6 quarters (I know there were 6 because we had them for the dryer.) and my son's silver dollar were gone! One bed was not made; I believe because my daughter inadvertently left a tote of stuffed animals on the bed. After tearing all of our stuff apart to be sure the money wasn't just moved, we informed the front desk that it was indeed missing. When we checked out, the front desk clerk told me the cleaning lady thought the quarters and Silver dollar where her tip! She informed me that the money would be mailed back to our family. I'm disappointed because clearly it wasn't a tip. First of all our room was "skipped" for cleaning, therefore why would we give someone a tip. Secondly the quarters were taken from the pile and a silver dollar from a different part of the dresser. Clearly not a tip! Finally, if the cleaning lady wouldn't remove a tote of stuffed animals from the bed to make it, why would she take money from a dresser? Truly disappointed in the way the hotel handled the situation. No compensation for not cleaning, no apology for taking money. Honestly, we would have let the quarters slide, however my son was sad about his tooth fairy money. I feel someone owed him an apology. My husband and I were extremely kind and patient throughout the stay. I even cleaned our room. Disappointed!
My children enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool!
Two desk clerks were lovely, both had blonde hair.
