The staff. They kept us waiting for 3 hours for getting a room as the room, which was provided to us initially had severe problems, like the Toilet Flush did not work, basin faucet was brocken, the room telephone was out service. Finally we were given a better room after having hot discussions with the Superviser. Due to the time waist by the hotel, we could not make it to the Miami beach, as it was our last day in Miami.
Proximity to river was a plus. It created a nice ambiance
The facility needs an upgrade.
Thin mattress so if you like sleeping on bed-springs, not a bad deal. Excellent location to downtown. Parking is a nightmare.
Location and room. Room is confortable and nice.
The personal in reception and value parking a little rude and unpolite.
- Pretty well located - Good Price - Good room space
- Parking by a third party not by the Hotel (extra charge about 20U$ per night)
What I did not like about the hotel was when I got to my room there was no phone in the room and no alarm clock wth kinda hotel is it with no phone and no alarm clock other then that was a good stay did I feel I was charged correctly no because yeah I only paid 89.00 ffora night but every hotel I went to had a phone and alarm clock that was in the room
Everything about this hotel was very poor. Upon booking, were told we could have early check in as we were arriving very early in the day. This was not true and were not able to check in until 1:00 p.m. Then we booked a room with two queen size beds and were only able to get a king bed that actually turned out to be a queen size bed. Door card did not work and had to have re-activated by front desk. Very bad first visit to Miami. If we do return we will have to find another hotel.
They gave us a king suite even though we paid for the cheapest room. We're thankful and it makes this all the more difficult to write this review. The room we got was spacious and it was really good to have that luxury. If you want to spend one night its not too bad. You will get depressed if you have to stay more than just one night. Sorry to say I really won't be returning to that hotel.
They gave the idea that there was going to be a microwave and fridge which was very important to me. I have to keep my medicines in a fridge. Instead, I had to go on another floor to fetch ice. Another thing that bothered me was , I requested a shuttle to The Port of Miami, it was recorded in their book. So we went downstairs, let them know and we sat waiting and waiting. Then my husband went to find out why the shuttle is not as yet here. We were then told the vehicle broke down. Which was understandable. But, if my husband didn't get up and inquired, who's to know if they would have told us anything. Perhaps we may have missed our cruise by being late. Another thing is that we paid for a safe which we didn't use and were not even told when booking.
Comfortable, central, and very nice looking river. Two parking places one pay for us$ 12 per night, another free at 8:00 am then us$4 per hour. Pay before 8:00.
First parking place, very little and allways it's full. Parking in front of street, in corner parking.
Location was good, value was about right for hotel
Breakfast was poor selection and disposable cutlery, cups and plates was a cheap touch. I felt the staff were undermanned at reception which is not a reflection on the lady serving, but she was the only one even when they were busy? No vending machines either to get food or drink.
The availability of the tram. Room size was nice.
According to Booking.com, I was not supposed to be charged until I arrived at the hotel. However, The funds were taken from my account, less than a week after booking. In addition, I was charged almost five more dollars after checking out without any notice or explanation. There was no Internet, phone, and the Pool was not cleaned for use. They were unable to accommodate me with a shower chair and answered me as though I was asking for his first born child.
nice lobby, with comfortable sitting, wifi and nice decoration with statues.
no phone in the bedroom, buffet for breakfast a little bit poor (only coffee and no tea !)
Staff was considerate. Near enough to downtown tram loop and Marlins Park.
When I booked, there was no mention of the Mandatory $2/day fee for the safe, used or not. Nor was there a mention of the $20/day valet to park my car. Hotel offered continental breakfast and made a big deal of it on the site, but it was an Apple, Corn Flakes, Froot Loops, Sunny D, frozen mini muffins and Toast-it-yourself square sandwich bread. And Coffee. No desk in room, no place to put laptop.
I really have no idea (let's say Miami is nice... but stay in another hotel)
- staff gives VERY bad service (if you can call it a service at all) - big room, but half of it is unuseable so it becomes a small room - no fridge in the room - safe did not work on arrival - old hotel, not renewed since at least 25 years (if not more) - no airco at breakfast, warm like hell and they tell you not to take food or drinks outside that room - breakfast in itself is a joke: two cereals, toasts and 1 kind of jam (that's it folks...) - called front desk for a problem in the room and had to wait 20 mins, called again (in total 4x). After 50 mins of waiting had to go down myself to ask at the front desk if please someone can come and solve a problem - old beds, you feel the springs in your back - etc, etc, etc...
pricing and location
little outdated pool not as nice as pictures but nice to have
Breakfast, very poor.
Staff could not have been more accommodating; I got lost in Miami on my way there. When my phone dropped them, the manager called ME back and stayed on the phone with me, corner by corner, street by street, till I got there.
The place is definitely outdated and basic in accomodations, and the bed was rock hard, but for the price ($100 less a night than other nearby hotels) a good value. Parking is off site and by valet only so it takes a while for the valet to get your car when you want to leave.
The view from the 16th floor was great, looking down the canal. The bed was firm like I am accustomed. Very close to the riverwalk rail system which was free. Easy walk to Bayside Marketplace. Convenient for the Miami tour company tours.
The breakfast was pretty meager and the pillows were too firm/hard. I didn't like having to pay $2 a day for a safe I did not use. The $20 valet fee is a little steep. The parking garage they used started at $7 with addtl. Money for extra hours.
It was close to an amazing italia restaurant
Everything. Our room was a nightmare. The toilets were stained yellow, there was holes in the walls our shower barely worked and our bed sheet was a bed cover onto of the most uncomfortable bed ive ever layed on. Their so called bar and restaurant are closed permanently their pool looks like its never been cleaned and that so called elevator probably hasn't been serviced since it was made. And the best thing of all was when we demanded a refund so we could leave we got charged a refund fee...DO Not go here better to sleep on the street than at this place
Central location. The statue of the smoking naked buddha in the hall of the hotel is a great warning what you are about to find out.
The blood stains in the pillow and the curtains made me feel like in CSI Miami. Poor breakfast, they charge 2 dollars per night for "using the safe-box" (even if you dont use it), no wi-fi in rooms, unclean, low value for money...
I loved the room layout!
Small patch of drywall in shower needs replaced in rm 508
Great location, Big room with good view on to the river side. Linen and towels were clean.
1. congestion at breakfast time. Out of four toasters, two were not working. When we brought to the notice of lady matron, she just shrugged off as if it was none of her concern, with an attitude as to why are we complaining about this.
Parking, good thing I had a rental. Door got dinged when it was parked by valet.
There was no phones in the room . An there was no iron. Didn't like the valet parking . First an last time staying there .
