Location and closeness to quality restaurants, sightseeing, shopping etc
Expensive breakfast with no gluten free options although this was requested at booking
I loved the pool, however it is not likely to be used by adults if it over run with children.
Location: Tons of great stuff in a hip neighborhood. You could literally eat your way around a 7 block radius. Also very easy to get to the F subway line (practically across the street) which makes uptown or Brooklyn easy. View: We asked for a room on a high floor - awesome view of the Freedom Tower and downtown. Tip: Ask for a high floor. Bed was comfy and room was nicely decorated. Eating tips in the neighborhood: Katz's Deli: likely the best pastrami sandwich on the planet). Beauty & Essex: For a more trendy date night or hip business dinner. I would stay here again.
Wifi is free in the lobby but not in the rooms. Small thing but kind of annoying. Usually the free password from the lobby would work in the rooms though.
Excellent staff , great central location
The accomodating staff that assured we got a connecting room to make our stay more enjoyable. So many thing to do within the hotel: the pool with bar; the beer garden! The location: the LES great spot for bars and awesome eats.
Even thought it was a little costly, it makes sense; the location is key and the room was awesome. It's NYC, it's expected.
Depending on who gets your call to front desk. Asking for ice might take over an hour or they just totally forgot about it
I stayed at Sixty les from August 12~18th which actually coincide with my bf's birthday and our anniversary as a couple. I emailed the management a couple of days earlier before my arrival and to my pleasant surprise, the manager sent up a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolate and lovely letter up to our room on the evening of my arrival. Location was also great. The hotel is located across 2nd Avenue Station(F line) and during my 7 day stay, I got around the city easily by using Metro. Love the young & hip vibe of Lower East Side! You are literally moments from Little Italy, Noho, Soho, East Village, Financial District, Tribeca…Everywhere! Noise..I saw some reviews about noise at night. Manhattan is noisy period! If you are looking for quite treat, you should consider going some where else. Yes, there were some sirens here and there, but I didn't feel that this location/hotel was more noisy than others. (I have stayed in various parts in Manhattan during previous trips…6-7 hotels) Staff..Quite pleasant, guys at the door always open the door for you. Daily, around 6~7pm, one of the housekeeper will come to your room to refill the ice bucket and leave some chocolate for the guest~! Attention to Detail!
Nothing to report.
Mostly the location, close to my favorite breakfast place and shopping area. Rooms are spacious and have a nice view.
Nothing to report
The View and location.
The wi-fi was not free and the breakfast resturant vas a joke to be on a 450dollars hotel. Staff was goingt in the same elevators as customers, they should have straff priority on the elevators.
There's no free wifi in the guest rooms.
the location close to nolita and soho
Was not told there was a club on my floor that would play overly loud music till 3am! I love going to the club, hip hop, rap, rock etc, but not where i am trying to sleep for a meeting the next day. Also the fact that they double charged and over charged me putting $5000 on hold in my bank account for a trip that should only cost me $1300 per my booking.com reservation makes me not only never going to stay at 60 LES again, but i will never use booking.com again. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars with booking.com each year and this stay was ridiculous. The front desk told me they would look into the problems with my reservation, never called me back so I left. They were shady about their free breakfast, first guy gave it to me on my receipt the first day, next guy in restaurant refused to take off my receipt and told me it was the front desk to give me discount later when i checked out. Total B.S. if first guy could do free breakfast they advertisded then every employee should know how to do it. I had the Privacy hanger on my door, but maids ignored it and busted in multiple times a day. I mean, whats the point of having a privacy hanger if the maids just come on in. Do not stay at 60 LES. if you want to be charged $150 a day for incidentals on top of your reservation stay here. If you want a boutique hotel experience stay at Smyth or Gild hall.
thin walls. heard neighbours all the time
Ambiance Swimming pool Breakfast Bar area 7th floor
NO free WIFI (no free WIFI in a "boutique" hotel? since when is not being online become the new thing again?)
Location and furnishings.
Requested a quiet room away from noise of bar/club for honeymoon stay. Given room 3 floors above and could not sleep on first night due to blaring music and noise. WiFi costs $15 a day. Although not expected, we weren't offered any additionals as part of our honeymoon stay. Other hotels that we used during our trip were much more considerate.
Nice room. Nice view.
Hotel staff was not very professional. We requested an item to be delivered to our room and it was never delivered. The hotel tried twice to charge us for breakfast, even though it was included in our rate. The reception offered to call us for early check in but they never called.
The pool, the location, and the room was great!
Great location, Great Pool
Parking is tough and expensive
good location in lower Manhattan with car parking area around.
hotel, room, bars, staff.
$155 per night holding charge put on my credit card that took 2 weeks to remove after i left, normally i wouldn't care but seeming as though my credit limit was very large my card was unusable until the pending charge was removed, put a sour ending on our holiday. would have been interesting if an emergency arose and i needed to use my credit card.
The bar and food
Front desk showed little to zero interest in helping guests and couldn't seem to be bothered -
Nice place, view is great, fantastic staff, very interesting location
Location might not be to everyone's taste, air conditioning a bit too strong in common areas
bad internet and breakfast was bad if you hade prepayed.
Double Room - beds were comfortable Pool area Breakfast Beer garden
The see thru shower wall was a bit much for a family traveling together - we managed though. Very Noisy late Saturday night/ early Sunday morning in neighborhood. Alot of intoxicated people screaming, yelling, etc.
Well located great downtown view. Pool and bar well serviced Easy transport and eating
poor breakfast menu with weak coffee Charges for wifi Housekeeping very average came back to wet sheets that appeared to be spot cleaned
