The room was a bit noisy due to the huge air-conditioning machine outside the window (two /three floors downstairs, but still a lot of background noise). Air-conditioning in the lobby was incredibly cold. The hotel is not cheap and the valet parking is also quite expensive, but I have the impression that the whole DC, and Dupont Circle in particular, are expensive locations.
The room was large, modern, clean and well equipped. We had to ask for a real fridge, as the standard one is only for the minibar, but we got a normal fridge for our baby's milk with no extra charge and very quickly. The staff was nice, the location is perfect to relax, walk around (very nice the farmer's market on Sunday morning), walk to Georgetown or get the metro to the center. The bar close to the lobby seemed very popular and was always overcrowded.
