Cheerful and helpful staff
The queens room colors
Great service, very helpful staff who couldn't do enough for you to help make your stay, in the hotel & outside memorable.
No complementary water in the room, which in a luxury hotel of this quality is unforgivable! Also the turn down service missed us two days out of the four during our stay. As it was for us a great treat to stay there, those little things did mean a lot.
Really lovely and comfy room
No view at all looked into the middle of the hotel and waited to long for concierge
The location was convenient to public transportation and centrally located to most sites that we wanted to visit. Breakfasts were excellent.
Price of valet parking.
helpful, professional, proficient. Thank you
Lounge area was nice and roof garden.
Noise in the morning from the cleaning staff.
Very friendly staff, great location for us. Would love to return and spend more time there in the future.
How small our room was for the price. But maybe that's just San Francisco, we don't know, it was our first time.
staff specially the concierge they are the best they made my trip wonderful
Excellent and prompt service Friendliness Comfortable lounge area
The clean bedroom.
From the neighbor's room that you can hear all the conversation and TV, also the bed mattress was worn out one side.
The location was perfect for daily exercise walking up Nob Hill on the way back from work. It's absolutely a beautiful hotel and the newly remodeled rooms were exquisite. The staff is amazing and responsive.
As with any older hotel in San Francisco, the walls are a bit thin so I was awakened by passers by a couple of nights. I could hear my neighbors' phone conversations as I'm sure they could hear mine. A small price to pay for beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful hotel! Our double queen room was very spacious with a huge bathroom. The room had a stunning view of the bay. Staff were very polite and helpful. Lovely place to stay.
There was no complimentary wifi for guests of the hotel which was surprising and made planning our stay a little difficult.
the look and design, well preserved historical building, very clean and big room
lacklustre reception/front desk staff (ironically, the cleaning ladies were alot friendlier and warmer), room was a little bit noisy (conversation/tv from room next door could be heard)
Excellent service and facilities, would like to particularly commend Oscar in the lounge/bar and Gerren at Reception for excellent customer service and helpfulness.
- perfect location for discovering SFO (easy access to bus and short walking distance to downtown and Russian Hill) - excellent room service and cleanness - nice view from balcony - very good breakfast -
- balcony Needs a bit renovation
Parking, WIFI and breakfast not included.
Lobby was amazing! Room was incredible and we loved the rooftop garden
location, lobby, staff
no view, no coffee after 7 am
Beautiful, clean hotel that offers all the services you could need during a stay in San Francisco. You definitely get your money's worth from this hotel.
everything was exceptional would definitely come back here. staff was outstanding
You are treated extraordinary well, polite and very helpful staff. The decor is amazing and the room sizes are fantastic. It is centrally placed to fisherman's wharf and the cable car lines are close by. Didn't eat at the Hotel but the room service menu looked reasonably priced. Main meals looked a little pricey for us but probably not over priced for the 5* rating. Loved it and hope to be able to go back again.
Little disappointed that you had to pay for the use of wi-fi. A hotel of this standing I would expect this to be free.
Loved that we were upgraded to fantastic room with view; bartenders knew our names by 2nd night; staff very friendly and not stuffy; very clean well manicured property.
We try and walk when we travel which is a good thing because cable cars were too packed to get on, but my the walk home each day was a killer because of the super steep slope of streets, in every direction. Super steep.
