Great location and so great service
Loved the historical pictures and documentary captions. LOVED the gingerbread house! Our room and view were outstanding!!!
I did NOT like the restaurant. The staff was slow and inattentive, the food was ordinary and the prices were much too high.
We love everything about this place. Travel around and this is the BEST!
The lobby decorated in lights and life sized gingerbread house is quite spectacular. Laurel court restaurant food so good opted to eat all breakfasts and two dinners there after a dissapointing dinner elsewhere.
No slippers A very strange practice of housekeeping no restocking coffee cups or glasses unless requested- same wuth tea and cofee ( then requiring a tip for something which should have been done standardly) Terrible spa a real dissapointment for a Fairmont of this standing Website not very forthcoming about spa
Prices were high and it was a bit stuffy older crowd.
We just love the overall feeling of the hotel. Room was lovely.
The bed in rm 65 ( tower) is getting a little too soft & felt like you're falling off of it on the side by the window. Everything else perfect.
Everything was amazing. The staff was always extra friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and a get away on its own. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. I hope to stay there again soon!
Some, not all, of the snobby guests.
The old world charm
The Tikki lounge is overrated, dark and cold The rooms were very standard - nothing special
Everything except chintzy charges for wifi.
Beautiful, historic building, great service, comfortable rooms, great bathrooms and excellent neighborhood.
$28 omlettes, $54 / night parking, no complementary wifi - be prepared to pay inflated prices for almost any service the property offers.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful.the Tonga bar was really great
We had a rude welcome by the car/doorman. Housekeeping the worst I have ever experienced. The room was okay. There are better hotels to stay at in the city avoid this one. Only visit the Tonga bar.
Nice historic hotel.
There was no room for us to have breakfast. It would have been a 30 min wait. Then late one evening we just wanted dessert and coffee and there were no tables. Breakfast was expensive .no workout facilities .
Hotel is great, just the kind we like. Luxury decoration of public areas etc. Staff could be little more helpful, but in overall in their work wasn't anything wrong, just wasn't any wow or personal touch factor , usually you get in this level hotels.
bed is too soft; hall way was too noisy outside my room door
We had a huge room with two queen beds, large closer and bathroom, nice city and water view....
The only complaint was we could hear everything outside and a couple nights had really noisy people next to us.
Hotel and room were amazing.
Hair in bathroom not mine, as well as the rudest barista at cafe in the morning.
Can't beat the views, especially from the Tower rooms. Beds are comfortable. Walking distance to all the best sites, cable cars, and shopping.
Seems cheap to automatically charge if beverages are moved from the refrigerator. Likewise, only coffee and tea are free. Could offer free Wi-Fi without signing up for President's Club. Room service for breakfast of muffins and coffee took an hour! Ultimately, be prepared to pay higher prices for everything.
The facilities are beautiful. The service was wonderful without blatantly "over-doing" it.
An historic hotel with modern upgrades and conveniences. Loved it!
I wish they hadn't removed the indoor swimming pool.
Facility and staff were very good. Staff was friendly, helpful, and competent. Great location for walks all over a significant part of city.
Paid wifi? This is 2014 I requested a quiet room since I sleep poorly. Room was next to elevator, stairs, and cable car.
The building was very impressive, rooms were clean and airy and the views from the room were impressive.
Attention to detail: 2 cups for coffee in a room designed for 4. We requested a third cup and got it but they removed it the next morning
Excellent hotel with an amazing view (if you get the right room) over San Francisco. Very nice and helpful staff.
The WiFi is not free.
for th amount money paid for a room, paid wifi is ridiculous. Have stayed in may high end resorts and have not paid extra for wifi.
Nice place To stay and Beautiful views and friendly staff and very clean room.
Scott was very personanble at the prefered check in counter . I was mentioning how helful customer support was during the reservation processand he freely volunteered to upgrade us to the tower. A great way to celebrate our anniversary !
