Hotel was nice, beautiful and room was excellent. Views overlooking downtown and bay hit the mark.
We loved the beautiful room. The view was to die for.
Loved that it is a luxury hotel with a history with San Francisco's past and is still making history. The staff is simply lovely.
I did not have a bad experience but I wish that high end hotels did not have such expensive breakfasts. It is the only type of meal I feel overcharged.
Hotel is in good location, historic, room comfortable.
We arrived from New York to find a lobby with lines extending out into hotel entrance. We waited 2:45 minutes to check in. We were meeting other family members for Valentine's Day. We missed our dinner reservation and no restaurants had table. No compensation was offered for ruining our stay. Horrible lack of competency and resources.
everything about it
it's at the top of one heck of a hill. (get a cable car}
nothing.. only the position..
i am traveling per month maybe 4 time and more.. and expert booking.com really 1000 usd for 2 rooms which no internet and without breakfast..and dirty windows .. i left second day from this hotel... in breakfast swaer in god the bread was infected and for that the guy charge me for 2 person not 3 ...i am not layer .. and i havr prove...
Friendly front desk staff, large rooms. Sizeable workout facility. Price was right vs. other 5* options in San Fran at the time.
Hotel is a bit cavernous (seems built for conventions) which makes it a bit cold. Paid WiFi :( but got free by signing up for Fairmont card... tedious.
The location, the staff, and the quality of facilities all top notch!
My prepaid reservation got lost, which resulted in brief panic....but after phone call to booking.com, all went very well!
nice view and everything from the top of the building
wifi is slow and cost $13
The tonga room
How expensive room service is.
Staff and location was everything
54 dollar a night paid parking
The hotel is in a great location. We are Fairmont fans and stay often in the Canadian hotels both in Victoria and Banff. I can assure you the food at both if these locations is excellent
The food in the main Dinning room was abysmal the fish was dry and served on some kind of vegetable mush with no taste. The cream brûlée was compleat lay tasteless.my husband had pork loin and that too was dry and he didn't finish it. We did complain and the 300 dollar plus charge for 4 of us was removed. Also, a gratuity is put on to the bill, no problem with that but there is then a tip line after the total which one fills in and then you realize you have been duped into tipping twice Very nice at the desk.
Great amenities. Worth the price.
Wi-fi wasn't free.
Fabulous high class hotel, beautiful large rooms...helpful and friendly
No real spa facilities on site, have to cross the street.
hotel is impressive, location is good, room was big very good view, clean,
too big.. hundreds of people at any given time. no personal touch... service is ok very formal,
The view, history and the decor.
The expense of parking, wifi, and the restaurant. we didn't receive our robes in our room as promised when we booked. The room was nice but it needed to be cleaned a little more thorough. The base boards, tops of headboards of beds and the top of toilet tank were all dusty. Plus the glass shelf above sink was dirty. It still had toothpaste or something else on it.
The hotel is a century old building, and is one of San Francisco landmarks. It’s located in Nob Hill, a central area and one of the best neighborhoods in the city. Although all facilities are decorated in classic style, it provides all modern amenities to guests. The regular room is spacious, with a nice closet, vault, a desk and a flat TV screen. The bathroom and bed are really good too. Laurel Court Restaurant and Bar is a masterpiece, with its decorated ceiling. The breakfast service is one of the best I had, with a huge variety of options (juices, omelets, breads, cheeses, pancakes, fruits, yogurts, cereals, etc.) The staff was kind and helped with any questions or issues. Room service was fast and the food was good. At the time of the stay, it was year-end holidays, and the hotel builds a Gingerbread House between the main hall and Laurel Court Restaurant. This house is a major attraction, bringing to the hotel all city tourists and locals alike. If you are in town, I highly recommend a stay there if you can!
There is only valet parking. The service was really slow, taking more than 15 min each time you requested your car.
Views and location at top of Nob Hill Very elegant hotel with beautiful decor. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable
Price was very high but seemed to be due to convention in town during my stay
The Rooms need to be updated
Hallways smelt musty, no wifi included and no pool - even charged us to park and use the gym! Would look for other options on Nobb Hill.
Great stay, such a perfect location and staff was amazingly helpful. We had such a great stay and kids love it, thank you for your welcome and nice upgrade!
Had to pay extra for Wifi connection.
Comfy bed Great views Fantastic and helpful staff Cleanliness Overall facilities
Paid Wifi - should be complimentary
Complimentary upgrade, friendly helpful staff, quiet despite the busy nature of the hotel with conventions, comfortable.
