Fabulous high class hotel, beautiful large rooms...helpful and friendly
No real spa facilities on site, have to cross the street.
hotel is impressive, location is good, room was big very good view, clean,
too big.. hundreds of people at any given time. no personal touch... service is ok very formal,
The view, history and the decor.
The expense of parking, wifi, and the restaurant. we didn't receive our robes in our room as promised when we booked. The room was nice but it needed to be cleaned a little more thorough. The base boards, tops of headboards of beds and the top of toilet tank were all dusty. Plus the glass shelf above sink was dirty. It still had toothpaste or something else on it.
The hotel is a century old building, and is one of San Francisco landmarks. It’s located in Nob Hill, a central area and one of the best neighborhoods in the city. Although all facilities are decorated in classic style, it provides all modern amenities to guests. The regular room is spacious, with a nice closet, vault, a desk and a flat TV screen. The bathroom and bed are really good too. Laurel Court Restaurant and Bar is a masterpiece, with its decorated ceiling. The breakfast service is one of the best I had, with a huge variety of options (juices, omelets, breads, cheeses, pancakes, fruits, yogurts, cereals, etc.) The staff was kind and helped with any questions or issues. Room service was fast and the food was good. At the time of the stay, it was year-end holidays, and the hotel builds a Gingerbread House between the main hall and Laurel Court Restaurant. This house is a major attraction, bringing to the hotel all city tourists and locals alike. If you are in town, I highly recommend a stay there if you can!
There is only valet parking. The service was really slow, taking more than 15 min each time you requested your car.
Views and location at top of Nob Hill Very elegant hotel with beautiful decor. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable
Price was very high but seemed to be due to convention in town during my stay
The Rooms need to be updated
Hallways smelt musty, no wifi included and no pool - even charged us to park and use the gym! Would look for other options on Nobb Hill.
Great stay, such a perfect location and staff was amazingly helpful. We had such a great stay and kids love it, thank you for your welcome and nice upgrade!
Had to pay extra for Wifi connection.
Comfy bed Great views Fantastic and helpful staff Cleanliness Overall facilities
Paid Wifi - should be complimentary
Complimentary upgrade, friendly helpful staff, quiet despite the busy nature of the hotel with conventions, comfortable.
In one word, Everything.
I booked and paid for 4 nights, My partner gave her credit card incase of incidentals. My ID with photos were in the bottom of my suitcase, Receptionist insisted 5 times that I retrieve them and present to her, I totally refused and after she refused to check us in unless I comply, I asked for the Manager. She then came to her senses.
Staff very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help
Parking extremely expensive
the building and the view of the room
the breakfast/dining room.
56 dollars plus tax per night to park the car is too much
Booking .com made a normally expensive night at the Fairmont hotel affordable to us. The location, the attention to detail in their customer service and the amenities of the Fairmont put it in a class of it's own, yet everyone should get the chance to stay there at least one night. Thank you Booking.com for making it possible for us.
I really hate it when these very expensive hotels charge you another large fee just to connect to wifi. Extreme charging for wi-fi on top of an already hefty price per night is just plain greed.
Great service. Upgraded to a suite with the most amazing views. Outstanding!
A really superb hotel! Top class! Gads great stay & would highly recommend
Beautiful, historic and well decorated holiday lobby. 90% of the staff we encountered were wonderful.
The main hotel guest room bathrooms were not up par. The toilet seat was gross. The bathroom was cold and smelled. We let a staff member at the front desk know at 11am hoping they would have things fixed by the time we returned. When we got back at 4pm that day it was like we had said nothing. I complained on there new computer device in the room and a prompt response followed and we were moved to a room in the tower. It was smaller but much better. They allow pets and on Christmas day a boy with his grandmother stood in front of the elevators with his dog having the runs all over the place. Guests had to dodge and weave trying not to get poop on their shoes. When we were ready to leave there was no answer when we repeatedly called for a bellman. We brought our own bags down.
Location, holiday decorations with people participation in Lobby, comfort of rooms, transportation, destination advise from staff
Set up of coffee presentation, cool rooms, few outlets, pay wi fi.
No slippers, no bathroom gown, smelly rooms, very unkind attitude of staffs....I was quite disappointed
Room great , facilities marvellous and wonderful gingerbread house. Front desk were excellent abd v helpful.
The fact that the phones were not answered most of time - from room and just discovered that someone tried to get us for four hours on sunday morning and phones not answered. Problem was no mobile coverage in room.
The ambience. Christmas decking,, helpful staff. A welcome Birthday balloon and an invitation to partake of a free sweet in one of the restaurants. We had a suite with a balcony that was very spacious and comfortable with a very well stocked fridge.
Nothing to report.
