Doormen are very nice and thoughtful. Kinda sunshine tho. Thumb up!
Overall is not as good as when the hotel was operated by Ritz Carlton...
We liked the beautiful pool and the outside common patio area which was relaxing and elegant, both for breakfast and dinner. The room was lovely and quiet. We had a great time.
The parking fee for overnight guests was excessive. We stayed for the weekend, with two cars, because one of us works in the area. It was a huge expense. The hotel is adequately expensive without these additional charges.
Rooms need better soundproofing
gardenview cottage suite was wonderfully huge, and lovely. We stayed two night and had our wedding party get ready in our suite. Great room service, great bed, beaufiful grounds for walking and taking photos. We also dined at The Terrace for brunch which was delicious.
The housekeeping did not come in on saturday which meant on our wedding night, we came home to an upside down, dirty room. We shook it off and told them in person, but they should make it more clear how the pink door sign works so no one misses a day of cleaning. Also, the Terrace was extremely slow in getting our bill and processing our cards. If we were not in a rush to get family to the airport it would not have been a huge deal.
most everything , the calm unhurried surroundings the great pool the general atmosphere and comfort
I love the garden in the hotel best
Great service from valet, restaurants, concierge, reservations and surrounded by beautiful opulence. Highly recommend!!
Limited liquor selection, but the food and service made up for it. I'd definitely stay again and BYOB.
Good service, friendly, very courteous, beautiful grounds, club level very nice. This was my second stay there for business and I would stay again.
Costly valet parking, but they were very courteous and I expect this is part of staying at such a nice place.
Location is beautiful, especially the drive in through the neighborhood, lobby smells fabulous, we were upgraded to a larger room, huge bath and nice/unique amenities, pretty grounds and fun bar/restaurants. Breakfast was comped as we waited over forty-five minutes for food. Great valet and bell service.
Cute patio looking out at grounds but very loud compressor of some kind made it less than peaceful to sit outside. Full beds are just too small and uncomfortable for two!!!
Excellent service and great deluxe rooms. Good amenities in the bathrooms. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Beautiful grounds. This was the perfect stay for a wedding.
Too far to walk to the breakfast room from where I was staying. Also the spa/salon is in a poor location, again having to walk up a large flight of stairs with a bad knee.
The place was beautiful. I can't wait to experience staying in one of the cottages.
I was given a handicap room witch caused the bathroom to be alil uncomfortable. Water ran out if the shower onto the floor. The was a slope for the wheelchair. That was my only complaint.
Fan very noisy and didn't seem to work
It was a great location for us to get ready for the Em and Ri Ri concert and a nice place to sleep instead of driving back to Newport Beach. I would recommend it for events at the Rose Bowl.
Wonderfull a tradition of a word class Hotel with a beautiful Garden and a nice pool!
The property was charming, quaint, w/o being stodgy...rooms/beds comfy. 99%of the staff wonderful! Front desk manager Taryn fantastic and professional. Valets the best. Concierge extremely helpful!
I booked on booked.com would have never found property otherwise. Booked a double deluxe room. Arrived to a snotty desk clerk (little, brunette, Asian-ish)She had me down for a king. There were 4 of us. 2moms 2teenage daughters going to concert. Arrived at 4 (check in at 3)no room ready and attitude from clerk. Like she's doing me a favor by getting me the room I booked. I showed my reservation confirmation on phone-more attitude because she's wrong. Thankfully Taryn stepped in. Cleared immediately. Room was not ready hr later, now 5. 4 women getting ready in an hour? Huge inconvenience- made us late.
This is a nice hotel, with enough comfort to stay a couple of nights. They have some nice restaurants that serve a wide range of dishes. Very nice and large rooms (a bit hearing). The staff in the restaurants is very customer minded and friendly. Quietly located, you can get to hollywood and downtown in 20 minutes.
This hotel should be updated, if you walk around you notice that some parts are old and have a rather unpleasant smell, the herbal garden e.g. isn't maintained at all. For a Langham hotel, this is not comparable to other Langham's around the world, who are definitely much better! There are a lot of families with kids, really a big minus because they were extremely noisy (both the parents and the kids!). Also this seems to be more a wedding venue than a hotel. We stayed 3 nights and saw 3 different wedding parties. Nice to see, but not so nice that the restaurants were closed several times due to their private parties! The hotel should notice their guests about this. Kids are screaming, jumping in the pool and splashing water over your food and drinks doing so, people even wake up at 7 am to lay their towels at the pool and then don't show up until 11-12 o' clock !! (is this normal for a Langham??) One day there actually was a kid standing on the edge of the pool and peed in the water, nobody didn't even seem to care?! When we went into the pool, there was an older couple who immediately (without shame) took our umbrella to place it next to their chairs. We spoke to the manager about all these things, and his answer was: we don't have enough staff, it's a busy weekend. In return they offered us a free dinner at one of the restaurants on our last night, which was a nice gesture, but far not good enough to make up for all the discomfort we had. They should work very hard on their service level and maintenance of the hotel areas. For the same price as the Bellagio, this really has nothing to see with it.
The hotel is located in very nice area with good facilities. The rooms are extremely clean with great garden or pool view. Very happy to stay there for few days and will come back for sure.
This hotel is stunning. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels all over the world and the Langham is right up there with the very best of them. Highly recommended.
Nothing negative at all.
Valet parking is very comfortable and reasonably priced Room is large and very well appointed
No coffee In the room
The hotel personal and the service provided where the best I've encountered at any hotel including the Empress and the Del. The connsiear, Josh, was very helpful and gracious. My power walk and aqua zumba class were great fun. and I really enjoyed the instructor for those activities. Tea served with gracious service was the perfect way to conclude my stay..
The food was good but prices seemed somewhat high. I found the high tea a good value for the price.
Every thing was wonderful, the staff was so professionally coordinated from the valley, receptionist,to the waiters. The service was excellent . Michael, rosewood ca.
Tour of the hotel is needed, even if it's on the television. A bigger gift shop is needed, said my wife.
The location, the staff, the service and the property are perfect. This was the first night of our Honeymoon and they upgraded us to a huge suite, and the gentleman at reception gave my new wife a rose, which was a lovely touch. I can't recommend this hotel enough.
Very beautiful hotel, excellent service, beautiful grounds and well located, as we wanted to visit the Gamble house, nearby
Nothing to report
Staff and location
Sleeping room was small and dated
Not much apart from the ducks with their kids around the pond!
Very poor service, -We asked for champagne glasses on the first evening after 2 phone call they eventually were brought in our room 2.5 hours later! -Another time we asked for plates and cuttlery! It took 3.5 hours and 2 calls again. -The rooms were not clean even at 3 pm -beds are far too small for 2 people, even if very slim like me and my 11 year old son! -The shattle service of the hotel, which was meant to take you anywhere within 3 miles and then collect you did not work neither. The bottom line if you like to be spoiled avoid this hotel!
