That we couldn't stay longer!!!
Great central location. Bedroom was excellent. Very comfortable bed, modern attractive design, super spacious shower. Staff at reception, concierge and in bar were professional, pleasant really helpful and unfussy.
However, the level of service at the restaurant (Rural Society) is not acceptable. They seem to be clearly understaffed. The staff seemed very inexperienced/poorly trained and seemed as if hey didn't really want to work. On Saturday we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated for breakfast and when we were seated we could see that the problem was not that the restaurant was full, but that there were only 2 or 3 waiters to serve (and this was supposed to be one of the busiest days of the year - Easter + Cherry Blossom Festival). If you stay at this hotel be prepared to eat/drink (have breakfast) someplace else.
Stayed at the Lowe's Madison Hotel for a long weekend with my family. Good location, rooms are clean and spacious.
Room service didn't show up to make up our room so we never got a fresh bed (short trip). They comped us our mini-bar which was appreciated. The concierge promised to make a reservation for Saturday night dinner and then called 2 hours late 5 minutes before he made a reservation. Obviously it was not possible to use the reservation and since it was 7:10 when he called, we had already made other plans.
The Rural Society on-site dining was excellent. Central location.
Location Comfort Friendly staff
It would have been good for Starbucks to be open for longer hours especially at the weekend.
My birthday was made special while staying at the hotel. All staff we encountered were helpful and pleasant, Milan and Innocent really put themselves out to help us.
Asked housekeeping for additional hangers which we never received. Towels were not replenished so it was difficult for evening showers.
Staff was very nice. Always greeted us politely when entering the building. Was able to get a taxi right away. Elevators were convenient. Due to snow we were stuck in Chicago and unable to get into DC as planned so we had to cancel our first nites stay and they did so without a problem or charge. Utilized the Fiat car and the driver was great!!
When I came home I discovered that I had been charged for a room service dinner that I did not have. The hotel has not responded to repeated requests to correct this. Apart from this I think the hotel is OK if a bit overpriced.
We stayed there during the snow alert days. But there was not any wind or heavy snow. However, hotels electricity was gone and they could not solve the problem almost 12 hours. Rooms were very cold during the night. There were not any back-up heating. Of course, the sockets and wi-fi, tv were also not working. Kitchen and bar of the hotel were not working. There were just lights. We could not charge our cell-phones or take a shower. Other than this, bathroom was clean but the toilet was not. There were yellow spots and hairs all over. They need back-up generators and more staff.
The staff is very kind and helpfull, especially receptionists. Location is good. Decoration was wonderful.
Hard to access the Wi-Fi
Staff was pleasant
In general I think the hotel is OK but overpriced. The big disappointment came after I had left, when I saw that they had charged me for a room service dinner I never had. Afterwards, the hotel has not responded to repeated requests to correct it.
comfortable beds, great staff, and an amazing restaurant in the lobby (rural society).
Our entire experience was very positive. We will definitely be back.
Free wifi limited to 3 devices.
Location within easy walk to attractions and restaurants.
Very nice and calm room. Fast internet.
Location was perfect, wish there was a bath tub in the bathroom and bed was super firm but other than that it was lovely.
I was in a car accident that evening so I didn't get to check into the hotel until after dinner and drinks, about 1 AM and the front desk explained that the luxury king room I had reserved was unavailable but that we would be upgraded to a suite. So I thought, awesome, but the room was only a Queen bed, and when you are only staying at a hotel to sleep, and then leave the next morning after breakfast, you want the big bed you reserved.
the room was beautiful and clean, everything was really nice and the view was nice too. they have a starbucks counter in the lobby and breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was amazing, great options, great service, great everything.
Bathroom in particular. Yellow Stains on the outside of toilet bowel and toilet paper.
Beautiful decor and friendliness of the stuff. Free ride with Fiat.
My only dislike was not having a personal refrigerator in the room.
Love the diversity of the staff. From the time I've walked in and checked out I felted like family.
Rooms are way smaller than what's noted on site. Lack of front desk to service our requests in a timely manner. Called three times and still no one showed to our room.
NOT SO GREAT IF SHOPPING FOR SOUVENIRS. BIT OF A SMELL IN ROOM AS IF SMOKING. NO VIEWS :( NO BREAKFAST INCLUDED THEREFORE PRICE LITTLE EXPENSIVE. WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE TEA FACILITIES IN ROOM ESP IN WINTER.
LOCATION, WALKING DISTANT TO THE WHITE HOUSE AND TOURIST ATTRACTIONS. NEED TO TALK TO DIFFERENT STAFF AS TO PLACES TO EAT SOME KNOW MORE THAN OTHERS. BUT PLENTY RESTAURANTS AROUND WITHIN WALKING. FREE TAXI FROM HOTEL VIA HOTEL UP TO 3 MILE RADIUS. EXCELLENT.
Noisy air con and car parking was a little overpriced
Front desk staff member Emmanuele was very helpful and gave great representation of Loews customer friendly service. All the staff at this hotel gave above average customer care but Emmanuele stood out. This was a nice hotel to stay at.
Not much natural light felt dark and dated. Narrow hallways.
Very clean hotel in a great location. Fully renovated older building
Lack of room service ending at 11pm
The plush feel to the hotel, the comfort of the beds are amazing with fantastic white linen. The staff were very adapting and helpful.
the parking is very expensive
high quality hotel, nice restaurant
The rooms pictured on their website are way bigger than the average room. I reserved a Luxury King and the room was tiny. The bathroom was so small that you couldn't have two people standing in there at one time.
I liked the hotels location and overall look.
