This hotel, located in the center of San Francisco, is 0.7 miles from both the Moscone Center and the Financial District. It offers a well-equipped fitness centre and chic, modern rooms.
Score from 132 reviews Very good
This California boutique hotel, half a block from Union Square, features Italian-design influences in the heart of San Francisco.

The hotel made our San Fran experience. Stayed in a real "painted lady!" Staff were very helpful and informative. Loved the morning breakfast and the afternoon sherry. A few blocks from the cable car and transit across the street. Couldn't ask for more!!
Location was great with Fillmore a few blocks away. Hotel was old with an antique theme. Our room had a little fireplace. Sherry and cookies in the afternoon. 12 oclock checkout was the best!!!
Indoor parking would have been nice but certainly not a deal breaker. I could see the parking lot from my room.
Most everything. The hotel oozes authentic Victorian charm, having been sympathetically restored with lots of turn-of-the-century furnishings, decor and original fittings. This is a hotel to relax in,listen to the classical background music and enjoy a 4 pm complimentary glass of sherry.
Our bathroom was functional but a little small with nowhere to store wash-bags - some shelving would go a long way. Oh, and our windows rattled a little, but hey, they're Victorian.
We loved our stay at the Queen Anne. The room was beautiful as was the whole hotel. I felt I should be wearing a gown to walk down the stairs ! There are some really nice touches like the evening Sherry and biscuits. The breakfast was also interesting and varied and plenty of food and drink. The staff were helpful and enthusiastic. I would definitely stay here again.
The Wi-Fi was a bit intermittent as was the TV occasionally but this was not a major problem.
Nice neighborhood, pleasant and cordial staff, very Victorian looking and interesting house, breakfast in a.m. a plus.
Bit "old" in the state of the rooms, althought well maintained. 30 minute walk to Moscone Connvetion Center
Extravagant interior décor. Very good buffet breakfast. Tea & coffee available at all hours in the lounge. Very helpful staff.
Noisy plumbing system.
the staff were helpful, the hotel furnishings were just beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious
the location of our room was above the street where the bus stopped frequently. We had to have an open window because it was so hot in the room. The people and traffic noise kept us up all night
retro style atmosphere staff
internet worked sometimes quite expensive, but its sf
The pleasant and helpful staff and the over-the-top decor!
The breakfast was a bit weak.
Liked the location
Room are expensive, but all are in San Francisco. Limited parking.
It was a nice comfortable hotel with a good breakfast. I liked the style. Cookies and liquor in the lobby around 5 pm were a nice surprise. In general the hotel is no less than Hampton Inn quality, and it is probably more.
Quite expensive, but I guess this is San Francisco problem. The breakfast was the same every day. Internet connection was unstable: the router kept vanishing occasionally.
the decoration the fireplace complimentary cookies and the
it's a bit dusty, they should keep it clean we organized a transfer to the airport and the hotel driver wanted more money than agreed, he invented a credit card fee
Breakfast - big room
Too old fashioned - very expensive
Good service in reception. Good location Parking is easy
Wifi was pretty bad in the room Quite expensive although it is difficult to find reasonably priced hotel in San Francisco. Service in the breakfast room.
The building, the breakfast and the service
They didn't have scrambled eggs
The style of the place grew on me. At first the period furnishings looked a bit fancy and overdone, but in fact the ambience was comfortable and cosy, with a large room, an eccentrically clanking huge old lift, a good breakfast room with quite a good range of options and helpful staff. The location is good and not too noisy and the hotel is designed to integrate guests if they wish to be. A good find that I would recommend.
It would have been nice if breakfast closed a bit later than 9 am - some of us were on holiday!
Rooms were large with comfy beds, felt warm and like staying at at my grandmas house, good location, right on bus route, long but doable walk to union square
Wifi in rooms was weak that's all
The decor, lush Victorian upholstery, capacious public rooms, interesting furniture, such as a pulpit on the 4th floor and a piano bench in the elevator. Car parking is convenient, although not cheap - but this is San Francisco!
Wi-fi and cell reception spotty. Most guests had to resort to the public rooms for coverage. Also, the breakfast was not spectacular - similar to Motel 6.
I thought the complimentary evening cookies and sherry were a nice touch. The complimentary morning car service was also convenient although we learned about this by chance (we were not informed about this at check in time)
The lack of counter space and shelving in our bathroom was inconvenient. There was no space for toiletries or the wife's cosmetics. This made morning and evening preparations somewhat challenging.
Fire place, availability of tea, coffee and biscuits to guests.
You advertise shuttle into town, we were advised then it goes only 3 times a day, last one goes at 9.45 in the morning, to me that is ridiculous and false advertising.
NOTHING EXCEPT TEA/COFFE IN FRINT DESK
ROOM VERY SMALLY TINY SMELLING COCKROACHES IMSIDE ROOM AND BATHROOM VERY EXPENSIVE ROOMRATE LIFE FIVE STAR AND ROOMS LIKE NOT EVEN 2 STAR
-The breakfast didn't include green salad and mainly contained saturated fats, that means is bad for the healthy diet. -There is no good internet access in my room located in the 5th floor.
We really enjoyed this hotel; the staff was very attentive, the breakfast was good and the free transportation in the morning was perfect. The area was beautiful.
The location was a little far from major sights but the surrounding area was very nice. I wish their free transportation was available for more hours.
Imagine you travel with modern car in modern city and reat at this ancient euro style hotel. Nice staffs and good breakfast. Easy to reach anywhere in s f
