NOTHING EXCEPT TEA/COFFE IN FRINT DESK
ROOM VERY SMALLY TINY SMELLING COCKROACHES IMSIDE ROOM AND BATHROOM VERY EXPENSIVE ROOMRATE LIFE FIVE STAR AND ROOMS LIKE NOT EVEN 2 STAR
-The breakfast didn't include green salad and mainly contained saturated fats, that means is bad for the healthy diet. -There is no good internet access in my room located in the 5th floor.
We really enjoyed this hotel; the staff was very attentive, the breakfast was good and the free transportation in the morning was perfect. The area was beautiful.
The location was a little far from major sights but the surrounding area was very nice. I wish their free transportation was available for more hours.
Atmosphere Friendly helpful staff quiet furniture FREE breakfast with good selection
Some rooms small - go for deluxe over standard if you want better size A little far from Union Square BUT they run a shuttle and on bus route
Loved our stay, good central location, very helpful & friendly staff, home made cookies at 3 are not to be missed! Loved the period style - even sat in a Queen Anne chair next to the fire, nodded off for 40 winks & not disturbed by any Ghost!!
A certain smell of old house in the parlor...
Great location - walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. Nestled among beautiful architecture and residential neighborhoods.
Given the attention to detail at all levels the breakfast was a little disappointing - if only because my expectations had been set pretty high by everything else. Not a deal breaker by any means, just a note.
Lovely hotel nice breakfast staff excellent
location was fine but far from center if walking.
I was very pleased with the overall quality of the hotel and staff. The breakfast was fine and every effort was made for your comfort, the staff were very approachable if you needed any assistance. The location was within walking distance of the town, but a taxi was also not expensive.
The wifi, while available, was generally that not that stable.
The style...it was like going back to the past..beautiful ..love the wood work..staff was great
We have a comfortable room and a lovely breakfast. The location is perfect for us as our Grandson lives close by and our Aunt is in a nursing home close by. Its also near many attractions.
Walking distance to Fillmore area where you will find lots of eateries, boutiques, pubs, etc. loved the afternoon tea break with an assortment of teas, cookies and sherry. Very nice touch.
The Hotel itself while being Victorian, was cute. Felt there was extremely too much furniture overall in the rooms.
Decor and location. Excellent staff and good breakfast
Basically everything. First and foremost the service: I must mention Roberto, the concierge. He did everything to make our stay just perfect. He created our two day visiting trips with such a good taste that we can only thank him for this. He gave us the right tips for food, places and displacements... really he did add value to our visit and to the Hotel. Thanks Roberto!. Besides this service, we loved the classic decoration that even my internet-age teenager boys loved too. Beautiful. The nice detail of the afternoon tea is just great and hardly ever seen in other places. Breakfast fine with a good choice of continental stuff. The room was at the top so we enjoyed a great view, massive bed in a wooden frame. Location excellent to get to visit almost everything in SF. Highly recommended.
20$ per day for a parking slot. Wifi sometimes faded.
Darlene/Laura/Roberto and Alberto were all very welcoming and friendly. - Many thanks. Great Hotel/Great staff/Great choice for breakfast/Great room. Great situation. Well recommended. 10/10
Staff very friendly Cookies and teat at 4 o clock close to bus stop clean old style
not to close to the center, but ok with buses
Very beautiful decor Good complimentary breakfast Cheap compared to other options available
Staff on site generally helpful. Staff on phone we spoke to was not, poor attitude and rude, rooms were available online but she stated could not make a booking for us. Wifi very slow and black spot for phone reception Parking very cheap $22 but open and across the road, shady area 2 cars were broken into when we arrived (don't leave anything in the car).
The staff was very pleasant and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The staff always had a smile on their face. I would definitely like to stay there again.
My daughter loved the afternoon tea!
I loved the historical building. It was lovely!
the convenience to everything. the staff was nice but busy it was clean.
it definitely needs upgrading, no ice machine easy to get at. The breakfast was not the best.
very kind owner and good vibes
Great place. The location is central to most of San Francisco areas. The hotel is wonderfully decorated in vintage furniture, paintings and tapestries. Lost of wood molding, and plaster work makers this a very comfortable place to stay.
- Very good location - Comfortable bed and bathroom - Beautifull style - Very nice and helpfull staff - Extra services: cookies and sherry at the fireplace and free towncar - Nearby public transportation
Breakfast was disappointing.
