The Queen Anne is Gorgeous.
The bathroom was outdated. It was not so nice.
The staff was amazingly helpful, friendly, and proactive, The space is beautiful and well-kept. Nearby parking was handy.
Bed was too hard. Shower over jetted tub was hard to get in/out of, especially for people with back problems.
I loved the decor, the warm and welcoming staff, the breakfast, coffee, and all the assistance with navigating the city. Also the complimentary car each morning was a wonderful treat.
The hotel is located in a beautiful area but is some distance from major attractions such as union square, China town. We found the taxis to be very expensive and the drivers often tended to take the "long way home."
Friendly staff, comfortable parlors and parking was convenient.
couldn't turn on the bed lamp in our room.
Even though I had the heating on, I noticed a cold draft in the room, I think it was the presence of a ghost, but it did not keep me from sleeping, I felt safe and comfy under the sheets, nice place to catch up on time, and enjoy the holiday spirit
Loved the lobby w/fires going 24/7. Great tea & Very quaint. Rooms were clean & cozy
Rest of breakfast great
Very greasy , not tastey
nice decoration, christmas mood, effective heater
no free parking lot, nice deco but looks old.
The Queen Anne should be a destination in its own right, with it's comfortable antique furniture, the fireplaces, the chandeliers in the elevator, and last but not least, the excellent service provided by it's staff...
The only thing we really missed was a writing desk in the bedroom, which caused us to spend much time in the very pleassant lounge.
Its an unusual period furnished hotel and pleasant with friendly helpful staff.
There was a strong cleaning product odour everywhere, at times overwhelming. Perhaps it was just bad timing after a heavy spring clean by a service provider, if not it would put me off staying again.
Restoration and conversion to a beautiful boutique hotel. Amazing antiques throughout create a grandour that invites one to sit and enjoy the ambience. Staff were attentive, warm and helpful.
Interesting deco and ambience, Very comfortable lobby
Breakfast - no variety, same every morning, Qty of bathroom and furniture - not very practical, Cleanness - need a big scrub everywhere
Helpful desk clerks; tea, coffee & cookie bar 24/7; extensive self-serve b'fst buffet; charming decor.
The hot water faucet in the sink in room 302 was non- functional. Plenty of hot water from the tub spigot, but pretty inconvenient. Room was chilly, but slowly warmed by wall heater.
Overall comfort and atmosphere. Christmas decorations were an added excellent touch.
The hotel overall was great. The decor was wonderful, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were large and well appointed for a family with children. The breakfast was included in the priced and was quite large. In addition, parking was located directly across the street and reasonably priced ($22/a day) for San Francisco.
Just know that the hotel is a bit of walk to Union Sq., and even further to the other main attractions. It is doable, but with children it can be a bit far.
Free limo service was life saver...no waiting for taxi. Quiet, windows opened.
Too much stuff in halls, open areas
Fantastic decor. Friendliness of staff. Great breakfast package
The Queen Anne Is a wonderful combination of location and atmosphere. The staff is both pleasant and very efficient.
Location is great. The decoration is very beautiful. Breakfast is delicious.
No heat at all in our room. The hotel is old and tired looking. We never were able eat there because of morning operations for our son.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful at all hours. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall, a very good experience.
The Queen Anne is quaint and lovely in a very old-fashioned way. While the building is not modern, the bathroom was totally renovated, and the common areas are beautifully decorated and furnished. We only stayed one night, but I would have loved to explore the many sitting areas. Free wi-fi is also a very nice touch, as well as the sherry and cookies.
We had no problems. If modern is what you're looking for, this is not the place, but it's a lovely old hotel in a great location.
Location was ok -
The whole hotel was very pretentious- no coffee/tea making facilities in what was called the basic room which wasn't pointed out beforehand-decor in room dated plus TVstations (2-4) view was into apt block next door!breakfast finished at 9am
Made you feel welcome and the people were always so kind.
What a beautifully furnished hotel, packed with charm! Quirky and characterful, lovely fires in the lounge with plentiful seating to enjoy afternoon cookies and sherry. Even the lift has a chandelier and upholstered bench
