There is no enough shops around the hotel. Limited parking space.

Easy walking distance to the Marina and also on the tour bus/Muni line. Made it easy to enjoy a few great places easily.

This hotel is close to the most exciting sightseens places in San Franccisco such as Golden gate bridge, Presidio park and not so far from Fort Mason (where was held food truck fest) and Fishermen's warf. Only 10 miutes away from Chestnut street where are a lot of restaurants and shops . My best compliments for the hotel stuff who were very helpful and friendly.

No hot breakfast but cereal and croissants were fine.
Situated in a quiet location. Less than 5 minutes walk from the Palace of Fine Arts at the Presidio. Two miles from the pier district but walkable or use Uber app on phone for convenient cheap taxi. Comfy, clean rooms. Friendly and very helpful staff.

The rooms open to the courtyard and therefore, people (rightfully) might be a little shy leaving them open. This results in a little smell in the rooms. Not a dealbreaker but noticeable at first. It was no big deal for us.
We have chosen this location for a few factors: value for money, location and reviews by other travelers. The value for money is certainly there given the fact that you are in San Francisco. The guys who run he place are very knowledgeable and helpful. They were our first go-to when we had a question. Of course, we did our homework and preparation for the trip but just to verify our decisions, the gentlemen were of great help. They have coupons for everything, just ask. The location next to the Presidio is ideal and you should know that there is a Starbucks in the Presidio park maybe 200-300 yards away. Once you are there and you have a car, leave he car there since getting around in the city is much better by taxi or bicycle. We rented bicycles and commuted to the city, that was ideal. At night, we were allowed to park and lock our bikes directly in front of the office where they are safe. The breakfast is nothing fancy but gives you a good start. On a side note: please book your Alcatraz tickets a few days ahead since they are almost always sod out days ahead. alcatrazcruises(dot)com is the official and cheapest website for tickets.

Staff very helpful, Raymond the concierge saved us loads of time by giving info on transport and getting cheap bus pass
March 26, 2015
Only 15 parking spaces on site, if you get one, best not to use your car or you will lose space. Plenty of easy access to buses once you figure out the SFO system.
Very helpful staff.

Breakfast - the same every day and almost nothing to choose. The hotel is situated far away from the centre, you must take taxi or bus to get to the centre.
Basic but comfortable rooms; nice and helpful staff. Quiet and safe location.

Nothing bad to say at all. The place was not posh or luxurious but I wouldnt have swapped what we had for luxury as it is over rated.
We loved our stay. The staff really made it special and put themselves out to be helpful. We were well impressed. The room was very comfy and clean.

Room is too small for two beds; expensive.
Location, staff and wifi.

I like 4 Star hotels so was a little wary of a Travel Lodge but it was just for the night, the price was right & the location left me within footsteps of the Presdio where I had meetings all day. I found the staff to be great, the room cozy & clean & the free parking unbeatable. It was a much more enjoyable stay than anticipated & easily makes my list of affordable places to stay in the city. Breakfast in the morning was perfect, the consiege was friendly & helpful. No complaints from this frequent traveler, no complaints at all.

Continental breakfast could have fruit such as bananas or blueberries.
Comfortable bed. Close to Presidio. Pretty goo value for what you get in a San Francisco Free parking but limited number of spaces

The room is not very big, but considering the price and other service, its bearable.
It was really out of my expectation. Comparing with other hotel, this one is simple. However, the people there are very nice and helpful, the man wore glasses in the front desk help us rent a car with a great deal! Indeed, everyone are so nice! I think perhaps that's what SF people's characteristic, always smiling and very helpful.

I had 2 issues: there was no screen on the window and the room smelled mildewy, which required that the window stay open.
The front desk person was phenomenal! He had a wealth of information for the surrounding area that was very helpful. He also carried my bag up the stairs to my room. The morning front desk person was awesome as well. He had coffee made and all foods ready before the height of the storm took out the power. Excellent!

Bathroom was ridiculously small...room was cramped.
Location was great...parking a plus.

Barely enough parking for the room there. Exterior appearance was fair.
Clean. Newer finish like paint and remodeled bathroom. Nice flat screen television.

I like this place
The guy at the desk, Bruce, is the best. He is always so helpful and knowledgeable. He even parked my car for me. All the staff were very nice and friendly.

Room was tiny!!! 2 double beds took up all available room space and left none to walk through.
It was close to everything you want to see... Bridge and wharf area. Continental breakfast was fine.
