I liked the price and the location, though it was a 15 min walk to the metro, but that was okay with me for the price. The room we were in looked like it used to be a flat, with a main room and a back bedroom. I liked the feel, it was a home more than a hotel. If you're looking for fancy high end, this is not the place, but the accommodations were comfy and clean.
I had few expectations given the price, but the location was excellent - residential and reasonably quiet yet not far from Dupont Circle or Adams-Morgan. The staff was helpful and cheerful and while the room is old and the sink a bit worn, it was large and comfortable. A very good deal for the price.
Convenience to bus transportation Low key neighborhood
No drapes too much light in room at night, only venetian blinds. Temperature control the room was either too hot or too cold only a manually controlled blower no temp settings.
If you want a clean and peaceful place to rest after your day in DC, I can assure you that´s a great hotel. Affordable - if compared to other hotels in the same region (NW DC), comfortable bed, hot bath, good TV, polite employees, nice breakfast.
Nothing. Liked it all.
I was shocked the staff wouldn't help (say NO to a young lady! ) carry my suitcase from taxi to the hotel lobby!
Great location, friendly people, nice old building, great price.
This small hotel provides very personal attention to guests. Some guests will especially enjoy the house cat, Mona.
Some guests may be allergic to cats, and the presence of Mona could cause them some difficulty. Guests need to be able to manage a good number of stairs. The hotel is not otherwise accessible.
Old dairty carpet Old shower Old tv No cel phone reception Bugs No table Bad cable reception
Hotel is located just 15-20 mins walk from White House. Restaurants and bars just 10 mins walk. Small grocery shop just round the corner. Staff is really nice and helpful. Hotel very clean. Breakfast included.
Hotel has got a little bit old furtniture but all was clean and bathroom was refurbished and was new.
Great staff, clean rooms, sweet kitty in the lobby, the Windsor Inn was conveniently located in DuPont Circle area just a short walk from great food and bars. The staff was very helpful with advice on parking and how to get around and make the most of our time. Great place for the price.
Excellent Location in a quiet residential neighborhood, less than one block from the bus stop. Walking distance to great restaurants. Helpful staff!
Had trouble making flatscreen TV work. Staff was able to find it disconnected under the dresser.
The location of the hotel was good. Bathrooms were clean.
The "garden level" was actually a bit creepy. Bed was clean, but the carpeting was dirty. It truly left a lot to be desired.
too much mosquitos. As for the reception man he gave us the biggest room in the hotel and it was in the basement so we discovered that the room barely fit for two and the mattreses where very oldwith tiny pillows
Everything, especially the friendly staff.
Breakfast must have a little diversity...some whole wheat cereal, and whole wheat bread and some variety of cheese. It becomes monotonous to have the same breakfast day in and day out!
Great location, clean and pleasant room, good value for money.
There was water running from the pipes during the night, making an annoying sound and waking us up.
Facility is too old. Furniture in bad shape. Find roaches in r
The price for this place was quite ok. Better to use U-street station than Dupont Circle when arriving by metro (shorter walk this way). Some dining options around, get the 15% voucher for the beer baron if you are looking for pub grub.
A bit worn out, this place is not too pleasing on the eye. Caught a good nights sleep nevertheless.
Good location, central nice safe area
Old and worn...needs an update
Close to U st, that has restaurants, pubs and clubs! The hotel is quiet and clean!
We didn't like the staff, one of the front desk employee was rude, didn't allow me to pay in cash, yelling and throwing my debit card at me and forcing me to pay in credit card.
Good place to stay in for one night Nice pepole. Clean and comfortable
NoiIt was too hot in the night and the air conditioner was too noisy
There were several of us staying for a conference in DC. The room were unwelcoming, smelt like damp and had no nature light. They are also old and worn. There are much better hotels for similar money further out of DC which I regret not picking.
Willing personal Clean room Location/price
The staff was very kind. They have given a specious room. Very clean. Location is wonderful and safe.
Toilet didn't flush on the first day so we had to use the one in ground floor. We were at the 4th floor, but they have repaired in the next day. No Elevator. Basic breakfast. Very old fashion hotel.
Very close to U Street lined with restaurants and bars. Within walking distance of yellow/green metro lines. Clean Friendly hotel cat Shower stayed very hot
Outdated Extremely hot in hotel when we got there, took a while to cool with old air conditioner. Puny ice machine Wifi only works in the lobby
-very friendly, helpful staff -micowave, hot/cold water, coffee available at the lounge -decent room -comfy bed -good breakfast for the price (especially the bakery products) -
-100$ deposit if paid by cash -bit tricky to get to the Mall
