Location. Scenery. Decor
The restaurant was closed for the holiday but they gave us a box dinner. Very thoughtful. The coffee machine in the lobby was a really good
Noise on Halloween by neighboring college dorms. The staff was great and moved me to a quieter room.
You could use some better staff members in the evening. Not very professional
due to the northeastern storm power etc was down: we were superbly met and taken care of! generators, food and the staff did their utmost to make everything all right !
Decent accomodations but not worth the $$.
I was entitled to a discount rate and upon arrival was then told I had to call to make reservation to get rate, even though I entered the code when making on-line reservation. They would not honor the discount and I thus overpaid for the room. Never again.
Staff - Rachel/Raquel? on the reception was lovely. The rooms were clean.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable. I didn't like the parking permits in the windows. It didn't make any sense, you're near any major areas, and the car park was empty.
Good walk in shower.
Smallest room I have been in for years. Makes Motel 6 etc look big. Ice machine broken and had been for a while. No mini frige. Supposed to be a Sterling luxury property but not even close.
Easy access to the room, excellent WiFi, very helpful staff, private beach
It was a lovely facility and most events went as planned with lots of help from your staff, who were fantastic.
We heard the storm last week wreaked havoc with the wi-fi connections and the heat in the rooms (there was none) so I assume this doesn't happen regularly.
the front desk personnel is inept at best. We had difficulty with the bill and could not get a receipt. The breakfast is overpriced. Never have a room on the road. It is much too noisy. With a little effort this hotel and Tupper Manor could be great
1 of the staff members was very nice. Location was great if visiting Salem
Room I stayed in had a flat metal roof under the window and all you could hear all night was the rain hitting the roof. Lost power for the entire time I stayed here and couldn't believe that there was not a generator backup. When we decided to go to another hotel there was nothing mentioned about a discount for lack of amenidities. Also my wife was told to get out of the room immediately and had to wait in the lobby all am for me to come back during my conference lunch to relocate. Couldn't even shower because of no hot water. Didn't understand why my wife had to sit in the lobby. Not like anybody else was going in to that room anytime soon. No power and we originally booked the room for the next 2 nights. Still have not received my receipt for the night stay.
When we arrived, the hotel had been without power for 36 hours. it had resumed, yet the heat was only working in a few rooms. Ours was one without. We were not offered a discount, and the front desk manager acted very matter of fact about the situation.
Good location, close to Salem. Clean, comfortable rooms. New restaurant a plus.
A bit pricey.
The location was good and obviously had a lot of facilities which we did not avail ourselves to. The room was very large, well equipped and had we have been staying more than 1 night would have been excellent for self catering/ longer stay/family/etc. Our reception was good/practicable apart from the receptionist asking if we had eaten spagheti bolanaise which she thought she could smell but we had not and this was a strange comment to make if it was a ice breaker type scenario . Similarly, paying for wifi when most hotels provide it for free appears miserly.
Wifi would have to be paid for.
Over all great place
It is miles away from any convenience shop, grocery, restaurant!! On the advert they say that facilities are "minutes away" they forgot to say "by car"!! In an hour there are 60 minutes so you can understand how wrong and how misleading their advert is!!
I pretty much liked everything.
The beds weren't very comfortable.
Clean room. Comfortable bed. Close to our destination event.
neighbors were noisy. Talking in the hall and going back and forth from room to room.
Quiet, clean. Nice grounds and access to beach. Comfortable bed.
Handicapped shower had no shelf to put toiletries on. Limited counter space by sink. Pillows not comfortable.
The accommodations and setting
The staff, when check in occurred could, didn't appreciate that we received a deep discount on the rooms. It was body language and shortness of conversation.
Extremely over priced. $211.11 to sleep in a 15' x 15' room overlooking a trash bin view.
Pictures of conference center posted on Internet did not reflect offering at inn
The rooms were half the size at twice the price compared to other places
Clean accommodations Very quiet Very friendly and helpful staff
no breakfast included
