The host went above and beyond for me. My taxi did not show up early in the morning. She made sure anothet taxi would come pick me up. Absolutely she is wonderful. A huge big thank you from me to you. I just wish there were more wonderful hosts out thete like you. I only stayed one night.

The location was very nice, in the middle of all places to go out, close to the beach, very within a neighborhood with some weekend cultural activities such as candombe and theaters. The hostel is a big old house which has good vibes, not fancy of course, and for the price is spectacular. Jimena and Cristian, the owners, they were outstanding, we finish one night with shared food, wine, dancing and karaoke. We really felt like at home.

Great location, close to the center but on a quieter street, it wasn't a problem to park our car there. The hosts are super friendly and they speak solid English, there is a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom and a private room with two VERY comfortable beds. We got breakfast in the morning and lots of traveling tips :)

Such a wonderful stay at this guest house, a gorgeous unique place to stay where we felt right at home. Hosts were so welcoming and we felt really relaxed using all of the facilities. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely quirky colonial building, lots of cool art on the walls, and nice and comfortable. Jimena and her husband are really nice & friendly, and very helpful. My room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. The location is perfect for carnival, and not that much of a stroll to any other area of interest (the tourist sights in Montevideo are quite spread out so it’s impossible to be right next to everything). There’s a convenient bus stop really close (5 minutes walk), with a regular service to any destination…personally though, I preferred to walk, as it’s a safe area, and enjoyable to stroll through.

We loved our stay with Cristian and Jimena. They were so kind and hospitable. The room had everything you need and the kitchen and bathrooms were clean. The patio was gorgeous and a very nice place to unwind. The location of is great and you can walk almost anywhere. Overall a great stay in Montevideo!
