Amazing location with the most beautiful beach and boardwalk a 2 minute walk away! Staff was lovely, room was modern and clean and cozy. Also, bonus is the cutest golden retriever there to greet us! Thank you Stella Boutique for making our trip to Phu Quoc a wonderful one! We hope to be back :)

Love the location! ❤️❤️❤️ The view was amazing! We had the ocean view and we could see the cable car moving right infront of the hotel. We also love the breakfast, very satisfying! (I love the mushroom btw) The staff were super accomodating & helpful! 🫶🏻 WE WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK HERE AGAIN!

The Poplar resort is a beach front resort and it is a central location to both north and south trips of PhuQuoc. The rooms are clean and has good facilities, if needed there is a general kitchen. The host is very helpful person, always present in the reception and helps in all aspects of the trip. He is very attentive and answers all calls, even with a whatsapp message he is there at your room to help. He has good idea about the local trips and how to organise. The beach is 20 meters from the property. Also the resort good for short stay, also there are plenty of shops in 100 meters to buy groceries, fruits etc,

The hotel is in a new area, so most of the other hotels are empty now. This is a plus for us, because it is generally very quiet. There are small shops, cafes, and a night market in the evening near the hotel (the choice is not large, but this is not a problem). In the center of the location there is a cool outdoor pool. The sea is 3-5 minutes walk away. The hotel itself is very nice and has everything you need. The beds were super comfortable, with a special mattress. Breakfasts are not varied, but enough to start the day. On the ground floor there is a coffee machine, drinking water and a place to cook. From the location you can take a taxi or bus to Sun City or the main city. We enjoyed our stay, I can recommend the hotel for families and couples :)

    It is overrated island still not prepared for visitors.

    It is overrated island still not prepared for visitors. If you have already been to Thailand or Bali than you can very much skip this island. Everything is very average except sunset town, thats the only thing we found worth visiting. People there are not courteous. The resorts are very average too. you have to negotiate for everything and every activity you wish to do there. Grab is not very easily accessible. The cost of grab, activities, boat ride (island tour), cable car, star fish beach, etc. is all very expensive and not what influencers have portrayed for thus island. Overall, we found phu quoc very underwhelming and not worth a visit.

    This island is really a must see if you make the effort to visit Vietnam. So much to see and to do. The seafood is outstanding and even all the Vietnam dishes are very flavorful. I would definitely want to visit this island again.

    Phu Quoc is a great place to avoid the crazinesses of Ho Chi Minh. There are a lot of hotels to choose from, many not on third party website's a bargain is not hard to come by especially if your pay cash.

    The island is relatively small, so you can do a lot in a short amount of time. The three-island boat tour is a nice way to see a lot of the surrounding area and the cable car is a fun experience. Getting around is very easy and inexpensive. Use Grab. There are some white sand beaches that are quite beautiful such as Bai Sao beach. And, Starfish beach is quite beautiful as well. One of the best restaurants is The Spice House restaurant located at the Cassia Cottage. The food is amazing and the restaurant and hotel are absolutely beautiful.

    LOCATION IN IN CENTRE OF THE CITY. PROPERTY IS ON THE BEACH. FOOD WAS GREAT ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND VALUE FOR MONEY OWNERS ARE VERY HELPFUL. THEY EVEN PROVIDED ME THEIR PERSONAL CAR AND DRIVER FOR A DAY AS TOKEN OF GIFT.

    Our experience was very relaxing but we stuck to the resort. Lots of unfinished building projects on the island which spoils the area. Night market was worth a visit . Grabs - very cheap and plentiful. Plenty of bars and restaurants but very quiet - we were there early May so low season

    We came to ocean bay resort after 2 weeks travel through Vietnam. Its the first 5 star hotel that deserves the rating. Everything was good. We were confused by the "grand" ocean bay, because we booked at the normal ocean bay. The staff at the reception then explained that the entire resort is one are with 2 lobbies and 2 restaurants. It was true we could use all facilities from the whole resort. The beach and the pool are exceptional, paradise on earth! The restaurants are expensive and the food is only average. We will come back!

    Service of front desk manager was excellent . I had some complains about hotel service while i was staying sailing club. when I deliver this complain to front office manager, she was very helpful to solve the problem or compensate the problem. it was surprisingly nice gesture which indeed how 5 hotel should handle the problems. \ i think when we stay at hotels ,,, even 5 star hotel as guest we will have some problem and complains . but sailing club resort is willing to deal and help the problem.

    Well maintained properly, pool area was lovely and there was lots of greenery. Staff were really friendly and helpful and it was easy to arrange moped hire or laundry services. The hotel is close to Ong Long beach which in my opinion is one of the very best beaches on the island (much better than any near the centre or down south). Sunsets here were incredible. Lots of restaurants nearby, some atm’s and a couple of mini marts.
