My stay was regrettably too short; I truly wish I could have extended it. Port Elizabeth is vastly underrated, offering an abundance of activities. I yearned for a longer holiday, ideally spanning five days! The city is breathtaking, with its friendly people, pristine cleanliness, and refreshing ambiance.

Professional yet warm and friendly hosts that made us feel comfortable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished and the facilities are exactly what we wanted. Much attention to safety and environmental aspects that provide a sense of security and serenity.
Highly recommended and I will definitely be back. Thank you Tommy and Leonie ❤️

Port Elizabeth is a beautiful coastal city with miles of beaches and is true to its nickname the Friendly City. The older parts in Central have stunning views and buildings but unfortunetaly the local government has allowed it to become neglected, uncared for and in some places dangerous. What a pity, as the old centre with its harbour views and gracious historical buildings should be the gem of the city.
That said, there are still other places worth a visit as property owners in the central area really make an effort to keep their properties well maintained and in the spirit of what it used to be.
There are many restaurants and my favourites are the local ones, each with their own vibe and unique menus. I just love Port Elizabeth.

Gqeberha to give its official name is a fairly relaxed place as largish cities go. It has great beaches though you need to be prepared for windy weather that can reduce the fun of being on a beach.
There is a lot of history, with interesting sites to visit. Also some great food options.
It is not the country’s top tourist hot spot but has plenty of attractions that are in any case better enjoyed without a massive crowd.
Our stay at the hotel near Port Elizabeth was highly enjoyable. We appreciated the warm welcome we received upon our late arrival. The garden was beautifully landscaped, providing a pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, although it was relatively expensive compared to other places in South Africa. During breakfast, the host shared valuable tips about interesting spots to visit along the Garden Route, which we found very useful. We highly recommend this hotel for its great service and convenient location.
The Paxton hotel is a property of choice for us when visiting Port Elizabeth. The staff is friendly and so helpful. Micheal is an absolute gem for the Paxton and he shows so much of concern and support to the guest and we truly valued him. The kitchen staff was also amazing and thanks for the nice omelets. Every stay at the Paxton is an amazing experience and the property comes highly recommended, and it will be a definite come back for us when we visit Port Elizabeth.
The location of the hotel is very convenient and directly at the mall and there are a lot of restaurants in the surroundings. Free parking in the garage is available.
