We were there after the Knysna Festival and it was very quiet. A post covid symptom in so many places. Nonetheless the area is very central and we explored beyond just the Waterfront, Thesen Island and the Heads. We had a terrific winter holiday, scenic and relaxing.

Firstly, it’s a very beautiful town with the friendliest people ever. The scenery is out of this world, there’s a variety of restaurants to visit (with the freshest seafood), plus it’s a clean and safe town. You’ll find activities such as ziplining, boat cruises, quad biking and an elephant park within town or nearby. The best bet is to drive to help with mobility. Luckily, uber works so you can get around places quite efficiently so long you aren’t in a hurry as it’s a small town so there aren’t that many uber drivers available- you’ll need patience. Knysna is great for outdoor active adrenaline junkies or just get lost in the bush. Excellent trails and never short of a view or great place to eat. People are friendly and towns are small, Very clean and sometimes feels like you not in SA. Definitely a must see place, We visited Victoria Bay, The Heads viewpoint, SPieskop reserve seeing the groot boom and drove all the way into the mountains. The highlight of Knysna is that it encompass a variety of activities and adventures. Majority of the resturants we visited provided very good service and amazing seafood 🦐 Myself and my partner particularly enjoyed the boat ride on a 40 ft Catameran from Ocean Sailing Charters ⛵️, which came after a wild Ziplining experience. The Knysna Heads should definitely be visited for the scenic mountain and ocean views 🏞. A wonderful walk on the wild side feeding elephants, was another major highlight 🐘 ❤️ The icing on the cake was a young detour in Plettenberg Bay for a romantic date on the beach 💙🌊🥂 I would definitely recommend this dose of peace, serenity and absolute bliss 🌍GabriellaSouth Africa - Scored 1010

The standard of accomodation was excellent, i loved the place, very neat, the dish wssher, washing machine, wifi, big screen smart TV. The contact person was a phone call away like she would respond so quick. I liked everything and i will go there again

A very chilled place - just very serene place to go. It can be a little expensive for the type of food offered in several restaurants - price doesn't really match portion of menu. The people are friendly, there's a few activities to do if you're adventurous. It's a great place to stop-over for a couple of nights and then continue with your journey. The Waterfront is very lovely. I suggest you there. The Mall is also great for shopping - don't get lost though because there's about 4 mall/square areas.Reshoketswe HopeSouth Africa

The host has excellent attention to detail and provided us with all the info we could need, incl local restaurant specials and suggestions. The property is extremely well set up for load shedding and the wood-fired hot tub is kept warm throughout the day by the staff. The main house is massive and well furnished, with all the comforts one could require, and it's quiet at night in spite of being so close to town.

Our room had an amazing balcony where we could relax, sunbathe and enjoy that view. The staff (and there seemed to be quite a few of them) all went out of their way to ensure that every request we made was attended to and we wanted for nothing. Advice on restaurants etc was very good; the restaurant shuttle ride (200 Rand, return) was very comfortable and prompt.
