Situated only a short walk from the beach, in the heart of Port Elizabeth, this modern hotel impresses with its many facilities and central location. We loved staying at this wonderful hotel. The rooms we stayed in were big, the bed extremely comfortable, the linen exquisite. The staff was fantastic, especially Mary the banqueting manager who went out of her way to meet all our needs. The hotel is owned and run by an Austrian hotelier. Thanks Mr. P. for the unforgettable stay we had at your hotel. Be assured we will be back.

Located along the beachfront in Port Elizabeth and with views of the Indian Ocean, The Beach Hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with air conditioning. We absolutely loved this hotel! We would definitely stay here again. We had an executive double room. The bedroom and bathroom were large and very clean The room was quiet with blackout curtains. The air conditioning worked great. The hotel is located across the street from the beach with Shark Rock, the pier and crashing waves. A beautiful area. The breakfast buffet was out standing.

Hotel in Walmer, Port Elizabeth
The Hub Boutique Hotel offers modern and stylish rooms with balcony or patio overlooking the garden and pool. Located in Port Elizabeth’s suburb of Walmer, the hotel provides free Wi-Fi throughout. I can't understand the lower score as I rate my experience almost 9.5/10. I had stayed at The Hub a few times before Covid, then didn't travel in a while, so even with almost two years away I was recognized and given a very warm welcome when I arrived. I got a great room. Room 3 which is on the ground floor with King Size bed. Wherever I went down the corridor hand sanitizers were strategically placed. Covid protection features huge every where. Room felt very clean. Enormous size with fridge (no microwave but there is a microwave available in an area near the foyer), kettle, mugs and teaspoons (metal ones) and coffee, tea sugar etc. Bathroom and shower were excellent and linens of great quality. Plenty of towels and if anything additionally needed easy to make a request with speedy response. The room is of amazing design where there is a TV area built in and then with a HUGE built in desk right down the wall so any one working could spread out their papers and has huge space to work. Which is what I did. WiFi is very fast. I needed a copy of something, and was given an e-mail address and had the copies in record time. I didn't pay for the copies as they were a moderate number (3 copies), but I'm sure one could negotiate for copies to be made as there is a copier on the premises. There is also a TV and video machine in the room. I've never used the video machine, but TV is standard Samsung with a few DSTV channels. Proximity wise the Hotel is walking distance (approx 15 minutes) to Walmer Mall - in my opinion the greatest mall even better than BayWest - in PE. Then there is also the big Moffat on Main shopping center with a huge Checkers in it. I attended the Moffat on Main as there is a PostNet office services shop where I had a few documents scanned for me. I had very efficient service in record time there. Down the road from there is also a Foodlovers Market.

Great beaches! Fantastic for swimming. Normally PE is windy, but the weather was perfect when we were there from the 17th to the 20th of April. We however did not feel very safe walking around Summerstrand and the beachfront at sunset. While there, my mom and I had treatments at Shambala Day-spa which was lovely. We were disappointed with the quality of food at Ginger restaurant, but they did make a big effort with the table and dessert as it was my birthday. The chocolate fondant dessert is a winner. We met a group of friends at Tapas in Bloomingdales centre. It was outstanding! The food and service was both exceptional. I highly recommend ordering the Tapas and the Sticky Chicken Wings was everybody's favourite.
During weekend we had visitor who didnt sleep in our cottage because we knew that the cottage accomodates gor only 4adults and waa stated but when we about to leave our visitors came over around 10am since we were using same transport but the owner of the established was shouting
I liked the beach and the 3 restaurants I went to namely, Cafe Indigo, Angelos Summerstrand and Coachman. Most People in PE they just drive terrible just stopping in the middle of the road or slowing down in the middle of the road.
We were pleasantly surprised by the state of the City. It is a lot cleaner and neater than many other South African cities. There was visible policing and we experienced no safety issues even ofer the New Year celebrations.
Gqherbha is one the most beautiful cities in South Africa. The place offers a lot interesting places and beaches to visit. There are more that five beaches to relax and spent your days at. PE also has a national game park where you are able to see Elephants at a very close range. I highly recommend travellers to visit this beautiful and peaceful City.
The Beach hotel was beautiful, old and yet modern with luxurious finishes. Kind, generous and friendly staff. Great history surrounding location and historic building just a walk away from the beach. Nice fun things to do. Plenty of nice beaches, a great place for a holiday.
Port Elizabeth
Wonderful place, decorate is beautiful!. Amazing Location! The room was clean and has a lot of space and convenient parking spot. The Peace and Quiet,Fresh Air.So Spaces I could park my Vehicle near the Room and You can move around Outside without any Fear. The self catering with all essentials already there(Kettle,Microwave,Plates,Cups etc)The large Bathroom,Really Outstanding 😀 Room is So Amazing as well 👏 😀
Room Service took ages to answer phone. Check-In clerk gave incorrect information. Poor menu for supposedly up-market restaurant. Long wait to check-in. Very basic furnishings in room. Generally, not worth the money. Better hotels and accommodation experiences at lower rates.
Port Elizabeth Central, Port Elizabeth
The owner of this hotel and all of the staff are wonderful. It is also one of the few hotels in SA that does not present you with a list of rules as soon as you walk through the door. It is a beautiful house, the breakfast is very good and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth
A quiet location in the suburb of Summerstrand. A very spacious and well-provisioned room with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Filter coffee with a plunger was a special touch. A very friendly hostess and staff added to the pleasure of the stay.
This is one of my favourite hotels. The level of service is exceptional and the staff are very friendly and helpful. All aspects of this hotel are exceptional. There is no pretence just excellent accommodation and service.
Port Elizabeth
Stunning view over the breaking waves from a beautiful, spacious and well equipped room for all your self catering needs (including a great braai area) We especially loved the sound of the ocean while sleeping.
Port Elizabeth
Fluffy white towels, crisp white linen and comfy bed - better than lots of highly rated hotels. Lots of thoughtful extras and exceptionally kind hosts made our stay perfect. Highly recommended.
Port Elizabeth Central, Port Elizabeth
The kitchen place was not in the standard of BnB. For self catering all rooms should have their own kettle and coffee staff. As the guests must not be busy going up and down to the kitchen.
Walmer, Port Elizabeth

The host, Alida, is such a friendly person with a big heart. She makes conversation easily and goes out to accommodate her guests. We traveled as a big group of 9 and booked 4 rooms but when we got there Alida had prepared a fifth room just to ensure everyone would sleep comfortably.
