Location rooms comfortable staff friendly and helpful
Seemed to be set in a caravan park at Christmas no proper swimming pool
Our special request on booking was not done
Location, restaurant and the staff.
The bathroom was in a bad way. No separate shower. Cracked mirrors, tiles etc. the shower in the bath was very difficult to use as the bath was very high. The whole room was "tired" looking and shabby.
The location is magnificent. You can see, smell and hear the ocean constantly! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The manager didn't hesitate to help us carry our luggage when the porter wasn't available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and even arranged to stay another day.
The carpet in the lift looks awful. It doesn't make a good first impression. It really needs to be replaced urgently.
the hotel situation was good
Dining staff at breakfast took long to clear tables, thus made the place look untidy. the patio was not cleaned
Most of the rooms have spectacular view and just 4 of them have balconies on the parking. The problem is that those 4 room are not specified into separate category and if you come later then everybody else you will have to stay in those poor room with a terrible view and smell from the kitchen for the same price
Good food, friendly staff, nice view!!!!!
Carpets was not clean and the bath was in a bad condition.
No proper lounge in hotel No bar fridge Small wardrobe for clothes
WiFi connectiondid not accommodate existing mweb hotspot connection. Staff was unable to connect my laptop and smartphone due to existing mweb hotspot settings on devices
Excellent staff, loved the view and sound of the waves breaking right on your doorstep. Buffet breakfast was excellent.
No complimentary WiFi. Disturbed by other guests' running water.
We loved the wild location. Huge rollers crashed onto the rocks throughout our stay which was very dramatic. Families of dassies chasing around also added to our amusement.
Unfortunately we arrived in the afternoon and although we were told that the dining room was open the meal we received was not good: congealed packet soup and mussels that were not fresh. For that reason we decided to eat elsewhere for dinner. However, breakfast was good. There was fog during our second night so the lighthouse foghorn kept going off throughout the second night so we barely slept.
Nice room with a view. Friendly staff, specifically the barman Rick, always friendly and helpful.
Had to ask for replacement towals and no milk for coffe the second morning!
The view from our room; the noise of the sea; the friendliness, helpfulness and courteousness of the staff; the sight of the dassies sunning themselves on the rocks in front of the hotel!!
View and reception and bar staff is very friendly
Hotel floors not clean in diningroom and in bathroom, basin tap in bathroom was broken
The room we had was too noisy, couldn't really sleep.
Fantastic position. Staff friendly. Ate in the restaurant for dinner and found the food very acceptable. Good wine selection.
The foghorn at night (only when there is sea fog)
Food not the best in the world
The view Staff was very friendly and helpful Beds were comfortable
Decor a bit outdated Very warm inside the hotel itself - poor airflow
The location is superb, very close to the ocean and the rocks.
The hotel did not have air conditioning.
The location is fantastic. I would recommend the hotel to all my friends.
The food in the hotel was not great. Buffet breakfast was fine, but all other meals were not as good as the Protea Hotel Mosselbay.
The hotel is well located.
It is old and needs maintanance. Breakfast is poor.
Too expensive compared to other accommadation.
Hotel is clean
1.Hotel needs new towels 2.Breakfast - exactly the same every single day, no variation at all. Tables poorly laid, missing cups, and cutlery when sat at the table, no salt and pepper, had to find these items ourselves. 3.Dinner, slow... really slow and food was not hot, and needed seaoning, bland indeed.Only ate dinner once due to this.
