Excellent hotel with wonderful staff. Attention to detail is top notch .
The Table Bay hotel was fabulous. We had an excellent and extremely comfortable week. The staff were amazing and the concierge service most helpful.
The mattress was too hard.
Good food, friendly staff, great location. The duty manager presented us with a nice box of chocolates after hearing that we had gotten engaged which was a nice touch.
I asked in my booking comments "please try really hard to get me the absolute best room you can". I was so disappointed with the location of our room (I.e. The view) and really don't think that anyone made any effort whatsoever to put us in a great room. Even though I had warned the hotel that it was a "very special occasion" on check in we found we had twin beds rather than a king size. We had to wait while staff fitted a converter. Again very disappointed and it really felt like no one had thought to go the extra mile. Lastly, the rose in our bathroom wasn't changed in the four days we were there even though it was dead and dropping it's leaves. For the price we paid and the reputation of this hotel I think little things like this should receive attention.
Helpful staff. Good leisure facilities. Great location.
Poor poolside service
I didn't get my room like I asked it to be , wanted it to look like there web page and didn't happen was disappointed because it was my 10th anniversary
Stay was ok. Wouldn't stay there again.
No answer for valet at 6.00am. Hotel gets very smelly when the wind is blowing.
spacious room - which was very well tailored to all needs - lovely personal touches and flowers helpful staff pool area was lovely live piano would stay again
breakfast - the hot items were really poor the cold items and fruit were delicious including the tea
we were totally satisfied
Good staff, comfortable rooms which were well serviced. Good facilities.
Gym needed a greater range of equipment. Breakfast a little erratic in service, ie cooked breakfast arrived when you were still eating cereal or fruit. Not everything arrived at the table at the right time, eg butter often had to be requested. However having said this requests were dealt with very promptly.
hotel decor must be upgraded, modernised
I needed help from the concierge who was able to assist me and sort out all my problems. All the staff are very helpful and courteous. And the afternoon tea is outstanding
it is a little pricey but then, you get what you pay for.
Setting was fabulous and room luxurious. Good quality toiletries. Hotel has a good spa and pool. Location is excellent for the Waterfront. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bed linen was the best I've ever experienced. Soft and crisp at the same time!
Staff tended to be rather snooty.Breakfast was chaotic with no clear idea about who was responsible for serving you. Staff very reluctant to give you a menu to choose an 'a la carte' dish and clearly preferred you to get food from the buffet as this was obviously easier and quicker for them. Annoying as dishes from the menu are included in the room plan and are freshly cooked (eg eggs benedict). When food finally arrived it was delicious. I wish we'd known on the first morning that sparkling wine was also available to make Bucks Fizz. Staff seem to tell you as little as possible. Staff 'forgot' to make up our room and then said housekeeping were short staffed. Extremely annoying given how much we'd paid. Also room lacked a number of things (eg only one wine glass) and other minor things that should have been there but which we had to ask for. The room was very badly sound proofed and we could hear people in the corridor and the rooms next door very clearly.
Location & friendly staff
Charge of 1 full additional night for late check out
The hotel was exceptional. Very comfortable, friendly, helpful staff and an excellent location.
Location was perfect!!
Staff are professional and their dedication to customers are really impressive.
The pastries in the breakfast should be more varied.
Great location, comfortable room with special little extras for the kids!
The Location. The Breakfast Buffet. The Security.
No iron & iron board in the room, but they offer complimentary pressing if no iron is available. No shoe shine cloth the room, but they do complimentary shoe shine on request.
