    Safe and free parking, quiet room and very good food. The 'problems' that arose (see other column) were resolved very quickly and professionally by Francis on reception. 10 out of 10 to him.

    There were a couple of hiccups.....I had booked for 2 nights, albeit the booking was made on 2 different days, but it seemed to confuse the staff and I was asked when I was checking out on the 1st day. I was also debited twice for my "special" reservation rate.

    The room is big. You can move around and feel. The security. Using a Acess Card to entre and lock your room. and the reception is so elegent, Classy and Big..... The colours are Attractive. The room service line is always attended to... I loved it...... I enjoyed the breakfast Buffet :-) such alot of Options to choose from :-)

    The situation for people who want to visit woodstock is great, even if it's not much to do there. The hotel is pretty and clean.The employees were nice and helpfull.

    The food was not nice, i order calamari, they arrived very salty, and the dessert was not nice too. I do not recommande the restaurant.

    The rooms, crisp bedding, lifts being operated by access cards, was just good. Ablution facilities is just what I am used to, and really appreciate it there..great great stuff

    Nothing really caught my eye nor did something touched so nerve of irritation..NONE.

    DoubleTree is a luxurious hotel for good price and our best stay in whole of South Africa. 100% recommendation. - Breakfast: the buffet is really good quality food, with lots of variety (incl. vegetarian & vegan). Most of the staff is amazing and goes extra mile for the guests. They make Halal or "pure" vegetarian (in separate pan) food and provide coffee specialties like cappuccino or Latte Macchiato with breakfast, if desired. - Cleanliness: The hotel is overall nicely decorated and kept clean - Free Shuttle to Waterfront: is a fantastic idea, since the Waterfront is the heart of major activities in Cape Town (restaurants, mall, Robben Island Ferry). One could easily go and eat at one the many restaurants at Waterfront, spend the evening and return with the last shuttle at 10. - Staff: The staff is dedicated to their work. Everyone was extremely friendly & forthcoming. Some even went out of their way to fulfill the wishes of their guests.

    - small rooms (even for HHilton members) - Location of hotel: outside main attractions area, in locality without many restaurants and other amenities - Shuttle to Waterfront runs only 3 -4 times a day.

    generally, the staff were very helpful & obliging. The beds are v ery comfortable

    Stayed 6 weeks ago with my family at DT and it was a great experience. Second time around while on a business trip to Cpt on 11 June,checked in for one night only.Only discovered that the water was luke-warm when I returned to my room at the end of a long and cold day.Furthermore the heating didn't work. On complaining to staff at reception I was told that the fan had to be turned down completely in order for the aircon unit to blow out warm air? I was also informed that I could be moved to another room ( 11.06pm & I had an early morning appointment the following morning) or supplied with an extra blanket. I was very disappointed as a hot shower and a warm room at the end of a cold winter's day is what I want most out of a hotel. On our previous stay we also filled out an application for a Hilton loyalty card. The staff member went off with the application together with the temporary card and that was the end of that! I filled out an application again and was handed the temporary card this time.
