Great service and helpful staff. We are happy with with their free breakfast. It was cosy and cleanliness was up to expectations. It was very well maintained and there were no stained carpets unlike other hotels. It was so convenient to go to Durham city and we could have all our meals here when it was dark. We spend a lot of time in the cafe / pub as it was so comfortable that it felt like home. We would definitely come back if we visit Durham.

We stayed for two nights at the Victoria Inn and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Michael and his colleagues were incredibly helpful and attentive. We arrived before check-in, but they still ensured that the room was available, which was a lovely room on the first floor. The inn itself is about 4 minutes walk from the cathedral and castle, and about 7 minutes from the city centre.

Clean and well appointed. The check in was accomplished by the bartender at the connected Black Horse pub. He was very welcoming and helped us get to our rooms with our bags. The room and en-suite were clean and modern. Security was emphasized. Parking was behind the pub. The price was reasonable.
