The location is excellent, right in the middle of the holiday village of Thorpeness which is quaint, busy in the day and quiet at night. The restaurant is busy , though and worth booking. The rooms are lovely, very individual, well thought out and exceptionally clean, warm and welcoming. Tea and coffee facilities were good quality. The staff are truly lovely, friendly but not over friendly and the food was excellent. Their breakfast choices are wonderfully eclectic and locally sourced. We love this place and return regularly.

Chef Stuart made us a breakfast of which legends are born of, exceptional doesn't cover it. Phil the barman helped us with numbers for local take aways that delivered, the locals in the bar were full of chat and very friendly, making us feel right at home. The room was warm and very comfortable, and quiet, giving us a restful night. If I was in the area I would stay again.

A truly capacious and well-appointed room, with the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in. It was nice to have a lounge area where I could sit and read a paper after breakfast or a book after dinner. The rooms were spacious and well furnished. The dinner and breakfast were exceptionally good.
