The Jungle has city views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Mérida, 2.9 km from Maderas Volcano. Some units have a terrace and/or a balcony with mountain or lake views. We were given a very warm welcome and were well looked after by Maykel and his family . He arranged a volcano guide and we ordered packed lunches which were perfect at the top of a long hike . It was really useful that we could rent Maykal’s scooter as we had taken a taxi from the port. With large backpacks renting motos at the port would not have been fesible for us. Having independent ( not taxi) transport is, I think important to have a relaxed tour of this beautiful island . The roads are quiet and generally very low speed so biking is easy and the main way people get around. We had a wonderful , large room and big bathroom with a shower. There was a terrace where we sat peacefully in the evenings watching and listening to monkeys and enjoying the sunset. The food is all cooked to ordered. We had excellent breakfasts and we ate in 2 out of 4 evenings. They ask that you order your meal in advance so it can be freshly prepared. We were really happy with the location. Close to a lake beach, but close using the moto to the best sandy beaches- Playa Mango and San Domingo. The WiFi was excellent . We were so pleased we chose The Jungle and highly recommend it.

With lake views, Finca Mystica is situated in Mérida and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Ow my goodness, the best dorm everrrr. Double comfortable beds with net, your own fan and it’s cool at night. I didn’t sleep very well until I slept here and the other guest all day the same. We call this place a vacation within your vacation. Beautiful jungle with many monkeys, lovely dogs and cat, everything is clean, cozy, yoga dome, l swimming pool to cool of, 10 min walk to the beach for an amazing sunset and AMAZING FOOD and staff. It’s a Mystical Dream.

Located in Balgue in the Ometepe region and Maderas Volcano reachable within 13 km, Finca Ometepe provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private parking. Finca Ometepe was the highlight of our visit to Isla Ometepe! We enjoyed the warm hospitality of our hosts, Hanna and Hakan, who welcomed us to their home, shared their food, showed us around the farm and made us feel at home!. It was a very special experience for all of us, we had never experienced something similar on our travels before. We picked organic greens for salad together, participated in milking the goats, searching for eggs, processing Cacao and Cafe grown on the farm, enjoyed making our own pizza in their clay oven, and baking the most delicious brownies from their cacao (and recipe!). The farm is beautiful and relaxed, the casita has comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and spacious outdoor dining area with hammocks to relax in. Breakfasts where homemade, yummy and varied, and on top of all of these, hauler monkeys visited nearby every morning!

Located in Popoyo in the Rivas Region region, with Popoyo Beach nearby, Wild Waves Surf-House provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. This was one of my favorite stays in Nicaragua. The location was so peaceful and quiet for sleeping but there are also several places nearby to grab a drink. The owner Gianny was so so kind and him or his lovely staff/family were there if you needed anything. The kitchen had everything you could need for cooking and was spotlessly clean. I loved that the fruit/veg truck drove by here selling things every other day. I really enjoyed the free coffee every morning and loved the atmosphere of this place, great for solo travelers and meeting other people. Beautiful garden with hammocks and it was right on the beach. Compared to other places in the area with a private room with en-suite this was really the best value for your money

Offering a restaurant and a bar, Ecolodge Blue Morpho is located 8 km from Cardenas, only 150 metres from the shore of Lago Nicaragua. We liked it has a great location near the CR-NIC border in front of Cocibolca Lake, easy to find. The owner's warm welcome made us feel great and at home. It is an eco-lodge, powered by the sun and wind, so A/C is not available, but the fresh air by the night almost does it.

Situated in San Juan del Sur Bay, Hacienda & Ecolodge Morgan’s Rock has a children’s playground, outdoor pool, and a private beach area 1.5 km away. This was the best hotel I had . Full privacy , nature, music of waves for sleeping. Super

Boasting a permaculture farm and exotic edible fruit forest, La Bambouseraie, is set in Balgue, within 16 km of Maderas Volcano. A balcony with garden views is offered in each unit. Beautiful little cabin in the middle of the jungle. Very quiet, comfortable bed, great shower and lovely fresh breakfast.

Situated less than 1 km from Santana Beach, 99 Surf Lodge offers an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. We had the most wonderful stay at 99 Surflodge. The accommodation is stunning, the food is delicious and the staff is really friendly! The rooms are really comfortable, I would definitely recommend staying here!
