Check-in was a breeze. I had inquired if I could check in an hour early but was told only if the room was ready but that I could leave my bag at their sister hotel nearby. When I arrived several hours early, they were expecting me and checked me in. I appreciated that very much. The room and bathroom are large and comfortable. The building is very quiet and in a central location, just a few minutes from the bus station and aunt the corner from a grocery store I would absolutely stay there again.

From the first communication weeks before we arrived all the way through. - Excellent food and wine options - better than expected, reasonably priced. Interesting selections, locally sourced, etc. - Lovely secluded location with an east 15-minute walk to the edge of town. It is not central. Staying at Jägerhof in Saas Fee was truly outstanding. Upon arriving at the bus station, I called the hotel, and the owner himself came to pick us up, which set the tone for a warm, personalized experience. Once we reached the hotel, he took the time to explain everything about Saas Fee, highlighting activities and must-see spots. We were handed the key to our suite on the 4th floor, complete with a balcony and a breathtaking view of the mountains. The overall atmosphere felt like staying with family, as we shared stories and cultural insights, discovering similarities in our backgrounds. They offer breakfast and dinner daily, and on the evening we dined, they went the extra mile to provide halal/kosher options, which added a special touch of hospitality that we deeply appreciated. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. We were fortunate to experience both a late summer ambiance and snowfall during our stay, which added a magical touch. Although we came to ski and their ski-in, ski-out feature wasn’t ready due to limited snow, the natural beauty and warmth of the hotel more than made up for it. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like we had a second family in Saas Fee. We’re already looking forward to visiting again, perhaps in the summer season.

    Our stay at Hotel Etoile in Saas Fee was an excellent ski experience combining comfort, convenience, and a stunning alpine setting. It was a fantastic choice for our ski trip. The location in the quiet and sunny wildi area was perfect for a peaceful stay while still being within a short 5-7 minute walk to key spots like the bus station and skiing. The hotel provides free transport by electric car on arrival and departure, making check-in and check-out effortless. The fantastic staff was a true highlight. They were very welcoming and accommodative plus provided great recommendations. The standout employee of our stay was Fedee. She was the most helpful and welcoming hotel employee, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making our experience at Hotel Etoile truly exceptional. The included breakfast was a great way to start the day, offering a good selection of fresh bread, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, and cereals. The quality was excellent, and the cozy dining area made for a pleasant morning atmosphere. Plus, after a day in the mountains, relaxing in the outdoor hot tub was the perfect way to unwind.

    The meals were incredible (especially dinners), the staff was polite, helpful and kind, the apartment was neat and clean - towels were changed every day!, the view from the window was unbelievable - and there was even a small balcony to enjoy it. Moreover, the house has an additional side building with a small sauna and jacuzzi as after-skiing leisure. A Ski rental, shop, closest ski lift and a bus stop to the skiing places are all within 5-minute-walking distance. And, of course, the cost for all the comfort we had and incredible food and sauna included, was totally decent.

    Very comfortable accommodation just 2min walk from the Saas-Grund Post bus stop. The host was extremely helpful. It's a 5-min walk from the Hohsaas cable car. The weather wasn't ideal during our stay (very cold for the season and too much snow) but we were still able to climb Weissmies and Allalinhorn.

    It's a nice place if you know what you're doing (hiking / climbing / etc.) but the village is small and the choice of restaurants is extremely limited. Saas-Fee provides much better options but the buses don't run too often in the evening -- plan with care.

    Fantastic scenery, lots of snow covered peaks. Feels very safe. Most restaurants have staff who speak good english. Great hiking venue. Summer time small tourist tax for a Saastal Card which gives access to all Post buses and cable cars upto the snow line in the Saas valley. Car free village. Beaware everything is expensive, but the venue is worth it.

    A lovely quite village, perfectly located to get around the area. The Saastal card allows free travel on the buses should you wish to visit the other villages in the Saas region. Plenty of restaurants an local shops. The Saastal card also allows free trips on the local cable car.

    The location is great - at the end of a valley surrounded by...

    The location is great - at the end of a valley surrounded by mountains - and it's high, very high, which is perfect for late-season skiing. The village is at 1,800m, the top is 3,800m and the "world's highest revolving restaurant" is at 3,500. You can ski continuously all the way from the top to the bottom, with the majority of runs being wide reds and, because of the altitude and north-facing aspect, even at the start of April in brilliant sunshine, the snow hadn't turned to slush by my last run down. There are nursery slopes next to the village but, piste-wise, it's really more a resort for intermediates, as you need to go on some (admittedly easy) reds to get to the few blues up the mountain. Off-piste skiing looks great, but I'll leave it to better skiers than me to assess how it compares. The village is car-free, but with little electric buggies run by the larger hotels and for deliveries, and pretty compact with a decent range of shops, restaurants and bars. Access is easy - direct train from Geneva, Zurich or Basel airports to Visp then connecting bus up the spectacular valley.

    Saas Grund is a small village in the Saastal. The Post autos are going mostly every 30 minutes through Saas Grund to Saas Fee and Saas Almagell . The Saastal card does help you to go around free on the cable cars and Postauto . There are plenty of hikes everywhere . From easy to difficult and expert . In Saas Grund are 2 supermarkets : Coop and Denner . In Saas Fee you have also a Migros . For hikers it is a perfect place !
