Saas-Fee is a cute ski village at the base of a decent but not fantastic ski mountain. It’s perfect for intermediate skiers who want to experience skiing in the Alps but does not have lots of challenge for advanced skiers, especially when there is not fresh snow. There are nice restaurants, especially Waldhus Bodmen. The small village and relatively limited ski terrain is nice for up to three days, but I would not spend more time there.
Saas-Fee in winter is a paradise for skiing and snowboarding alike. As a non skier I found the town really delightful, lovely shops and great restaurants to peruse. The scenery is crazy beautiful with plenty of sunshine to soak up. There are a few Wellness options in town and at several hotels which make for a very relaxing holiday. Will be back for sure, next time in summer with the bikes!
Challenging skiing in all sorts of snow conditions over two trips to Saas Fee. Excellent value Wintercard ( Season pass for 222CHF) Excellent conditions in April, just slushy on lower runs. Glacier runs at 3500m just lovely. Lovely village and some great places to eat. Save up though! Even self catering becomes expensive.
Best thought-out ski area I have experienced in Switzerland, easy transfer from public transport to hotel and lifts. Shuttle bus service very convenient. Plenty of shops to browse, reasonable prices for dining. Don't miss the spectacular views from the revolving restaurant at the very top. But mind the weather which does not comply with forecasts, wind can shut down the lifts.
Beautiful and quaint little mountain resort. It would have been even better if there was some snow. We just took it easy and mostly hiked around town. It was nice and relaxing. Would highly recommend Restaurant Fee Challer for local cuisine and Restaurant Walliserkanne which is a little high end but good food. Lots of activities for children during winter but we were mainly interested in skiing.
First time for us in Saas-Fee so we didn't really know what to expect. Saas-Fee's reputation as a great ski resort is well deserved, and a short stay just won't do it justice. I found the ski rental and ski passes to be a bit overpriced though. I suspect there are many ways to pay less but we didn't have time to find them.

The receptionist is the best you will ever encounter. She helped a lot with all of my questions on the village's attractions, restaurants and best places. She was so nice that she provided me with her own electrical adapter when the electronics store was closed and I needed one. She also printed me my train tickets for free (two copies, in case one copy gets lost). To be honest, she is best receptionist I have ever met, and I went to tens of luxurious hotels around the world. If any hotel wants to be very successful, you need a receptionist like that one. I am sorry i don't her name, but she is the smiling and supportive one. As for the hotel, the location is amazing at the heart of the village. I had the double room with an awesome balcony overlooking the river and wonderful snowy mountains! It's clean and has a very good shower head which has a strong pressure, and that's a good thing. The breakfast was simple, yet delicious and satisfying. The breakfast lady is nice and wants to help. The hotel also provides a service for picking up from and to the bus stop station at the entrance of the village for free. There is a lovely pizzeria close to the hotel, a good cafe in front of it that has a good hot chocolate with an amazing view over the surrounding majestic Alps. The cable car is nearby, the river is right there, what else do you need? It's indeed the best located hotel in Saas-fee. I slept like a baby there because it's quiet and peaceful inside the room. The price was reasonable, I stayed there for 3 lovely cold snowy December nights. I am not a skier, i was there for the mountain views and the charm of the village, and loved it! And hey, that receptionist deserves a major raise for being ultra nice. Loved my stay there and cant wait to visit it during summer with the family.

The hotel location was ideal. Right beside the nursery slopes and the end of the main ski runs. The restaurant below was great for lunches and after apres ski. Despite our room on the first floor facing onto the bar outside there was little noise. And the view was phenomenal. Breakfast was simple, but enough of a range and fresh. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
