Hotel Palazzo Alexander is a historic building in the centre of Lucca, with easy access from Porta San Donato. Rooms come with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, and the staff is multilingual. What’s not to like about an elegant small hotel such as this in the heart of Lucca. On check in we got a great briefing of what to do in town and took the manager’s advice and attended the Puccini and Verde opera in a 1600 era cathedral. A high point. We also walked along the medieval walls of the town. The hotel was great. Breakfast was yummy, with pancakes and eggs and all of the continental goodies. We did book one room for each of us. Two tall people in these small European rooms wears thin on long trips (snoring included). So that made this stay pricey for us.

Nice hotel in the centre of Lucca. Staff was very friendly and accommodating for my early departure from the hotel. Calm room on the pedestrian street.

Nice facilities, very close to the town inside the old walls. Easy walking distance to the shops and historical sites. All the concrete staff were great. The morning breakfast ladies very friendly and got to know our orders quickly. Front desk staff helpful for any bookings or information.

Beautifully decorated small hotel, very conveniently located in the centre of Lucca. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfy . The staff was very helpful and breakfast was delicious.

Just 200 metres from Lucca Train Station and a 5-minute walk from the city walls, Albergo Moderno offers air-conditioned rooms with LCD TV. Really beautiful and quiet location. The breakfast was also nice and the family that runs the hotel was also kind. The owner/manager was very kind to help me with my luggage up the stairs, but it is definitely easier here with light luggage :) If you are coming by train, make sure to ask about reaching the property by the back exit of train station to avoid taking large stairs to cross the town.

Well set in the centre of Lucca, Lucca Heritage Retreat provides continental breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. This place is amazing. It is beautifully decorated and the shared lounge and breakfast area is like your home. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The bed is very comfortable and bathroom is spacious and amazing shower. The breakfast was included and was very nicely prepared. Our host was friendly and helpful with any questions. Location is in quiet street but very close to shops and restaurants. Would definitely return.
