Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Visiting family, great location, just 6mins walk to them. Suite a lot bigger than expected, needed extra bed for one night rang property and they provided it without any fuss, fitted into room easily. Beds very comfortable.

I stayed in St Kilda to attend a concert - The Adara was a pleasant walk to and from the Palais, except in the dark. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and tidy. There were a fridge, toaster, jug and microwave, so preparation of snacks or breakfast was possible, and a terrace with table and chairs to have it on. The garden setting was pleasantly surprising

The steep stairs from the undercover parking to access the lifts to rooms. The time it took for hot water to come through was a bit of a wait. I couldn't pay cash for the undercover parking.The large unscreened sliding door was fully open and it was raining when we arrived at the room.
A lovely helpful and friendly young lady was very welcoming at reception. Close to trams and restaurants and our event we were attending. Good value for money. Very quiet. Easy check in and check out.

It was described as a studio so I presumed we would have a kitchen and not just a kettle/ toaster/ microwave in the wardrobe
Location was perfect for going to the formula 1 in Albert park and getting the tram in/ out of cbd. Bed was comfy, towels were changed.

The road outside was quite busy so sitting on the balcony was not always possible.
The apartment was unexpectedly entered from a first floor courtyard garden, above a supermarket. It was well appointed and had everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. we particularly appreciated the laundry facilities after travelling for a while! It was also well situated for access to Melbourne's trams and trains.

Outside walkways covered in bird poop. Needs some water blasting.
Good location, situated next door to Aldi supermarket and a short walk to 2 different tram lines. Airport Skybus stop in near vicinity as well.

Felt unfinished. Panels exposed on wall where TV used to be or was going to be mounted, toilet roll holder not screwed in properly, extractor fans in kitchen and bathroom not working. No fly screens so could not open windows for breeze.
Location is very central. Was upgraded to a larger room so amount of space was good.

The street noise was very loud at night even through closed windows and blinds. There was no information on where to put rubbish at the end of your stay.
It was just the right size, staff were friendly and the location made it easy to get around.

The cleanliness was very surface, it needs a deeper clean, ie. Toilets, range hood where you turn it on and the light was covered in old oil. Each time I have stayed the toilet has needed maintenance for continual flushing which usually takes a couple of days to rectify.

There was a water leakage in the bathroom from the shower which made the bathroom floor very wet, the room did not have a pleasant/clean smell.
The apartment was nice, spacious, good balcony, Aldi was down stairs which was very convenient.

Unfortunately the room smelt of cigarette smoke. Previous guests leaving the room doors open while out on the balcony probably caused that. Or coming inside covered in smoke scent back into the room. Smokers don’t realise how much it stinks

Took us a bit to find. Suggestions of a sign outside the entry door or for the booking.com etc to at least let customers know that the apartments are directly above the Aldi store in St Kilda. Would have helped a lot
The size of the bed was awesome, sadly it was a little tough and not soft at all. But we slept pretty good

Location. Was further away from the main part of St kilda then we thought. Above an Aldi. Nothing to do, see or eat close by. Had to drive, tram or walk. (15 min) to precinct or tram and 10 min walk to sea front.
Lovely roomy apartment . Well equipped, quiet and comfy. Secure Parking
