Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Cigarettes were smoked prior to our arrival and previous people put a shower cap on the smoke detector. We smelt smoke and other noisy people all day and night

I arrived to find my room had not been cleaned so I slept in dirty sheets. It was too late at night to disturb staff as it does not have a 24-hour reception. Management promised to refund my first night’s charge but this did not happen, even after a reminder. Guests obviously smoke in the corridors too.
Perfect location and I had a quiet room.

The lock on the room door, as a single woman staying alone I would have preferred a more secure door lock. Also, no EFTPOS, luckily I was able to find a card and transfer money, I use Apple Pay and don’t usually carry cards.
It was clean, everything was supplied, easy to get to and friendly staff.

Mattress wasn’t very comfortable as you can feel the springs, dishwasher was not working and full of powder so doesn’t get checked, floor was not vacuumed under coffee table.

The level on which the apartment was located was very dirty. It smelt extremely bad. The state of the apartment wasn’t in the best condition either.
It was in walking distance to some great restaurants on Lygon Street

1st room was really nice but the aircon didn’t work. So 2nd room was average and the aircon still wasn’t cool enough. The shower was awesome.

The room was okay for a one night stay but it wouldn’t really be suited to longer than a night. The air con unit was very noisy so much so that I had to wear ear plugs to block out the noise to sleep. The shower also flooded that bathroom floor. Thankfully, I had spare towels to mop up the water. I also found the mattress in the bed very lumpy which would have made it uncomfortable had it been two people sharing. I luckily was able to stick to one side. In summary, fine for somewhere to sleep if you’re attending a one night event but not very comfortable for a longer stay.
The location is very central to get into the CBD.

The hallways were a bit stuffy and smelly - like old cooked food smells. With a bit of ventilation once or twice a day would help. I think the fire doors prevent this circulation but this was only in the hallways.
Location was really good - short walk to Tram to CBD which was only a short ride & close to Victoria Market. Pretty handy to a couple of the other Tram lines so easy to get around. Room was a bit awkward but worked for us with just enough facilities in the kitchen to sit down and eat for the one night we did. Noise - well we are in the city but with windows shut it was fine.

The bathroom had a dead light. The television in the room only got basic t.v channels the digital channels didn't work.

the kettle in my room (508) really needs to be replaced, was pouring from it and the lid popped open, almost burnt my hand, the lid was not staying shut. the bed wasn’t super comfortable where it was joined in the middle. wasn’t provided with wifi details when i checked in but just assumed it would be noted in the room which it wasn’t but reception is only open until 5pm so didn’t have anyone on sight that I could ask. the toilet in the room hadn’t been cleaned properly

The smell in the corridors is unbearable. The dishwasher didn't work, the hot water in the shower didn't work either so we had to ask for a change of room. The reception is only open during limited hours so getting them to find a way to hand over the keys after 5pm was very challenging. They finally organised a lockbox BUT they gave me someone else's room! So my kids and I walked into a stranger's room not knowing he was there as he was coming out of the shower. Overall QUITE DISAPPOINTING. I don't think we will be back

Room Service & customer service. The response time is too long. We had to change the room due to water leakage in the washroom. It took almost 3 days after the notification.
The Location was great. The Tram Station is nearby. Walking distances from LYGON Street & City Centre in a Sunny day.

The dishwasher was not functional. The dishwasher was also filthy and hadn't been cleaned in what looked like a century.. it had crusties. The remote wasn't configured, which it now is. The internet was not working and that TV was far too small for the room. That is only feedback as everything else was terrific. Didn't like the price as well. But at the last minute, we were humbly appreciative.
The spacious room, the ability to open the window. The kitchenette and appliances, the apartment style living. The bathroom was a delight, and we really liked the layout and hight of the roof. The service was great from reception who walked me through connecting my phone and key. We also loved the phone key idea... very modern. 10/10 with the checkin checkout.

Room needed several things repaired - TV screen cracked and so old that it was useless. Main door handle was loose and didn't lock all the time.
Location was good. Price was ok for what you get. Room was clean.
