Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I LOVED the breakfast .it was simple (bread, requeijão, ham, cheese, fruits, coffee, juice,) but good quality. If one day I come back to Manaus I definitely will stay there. The room was also nice and and the decoration very welcoming.

On our final night we noticed that there is not a lot of sound proofing between the room, however we had not noticed this other nights. Not sure if on the last night the person next to us was loud or the other nights we didn't have a neighbour.
Amazing value for money. The room was large and clean. Air-conditioning was great and wifi was good. Breakfast is good and we found the variety good. Staff were friendly and with a 24hr reception it meant we could leave in the very early hours of the morning to catch our flight. It is a short walk to the theatre.

It's true that the hotel might be a bit noisy but I think you'll have this in many hotels. It's a loud and busy city and double glazed windows is not really a thing I believe in Brazil.
The staff is amazing! Seriously, eventhough you might experience a language barrier with some, they'll do their utter best to help you with anything you want. Thank you again Otis for helping me out with my sim card which was a real struggle! The room was spacious enough and the bed comfortabel enough. Breakfast was simple but more than sufficient and the breakfast room is also a nice spot to meet other travelers. Wifi works really good so I believe good it's all good value for your money. Breakfast could have more vegan friendly options. Also the immediate surrounding of the hotel exit are not so nice. But it is not up to the hotel..

Lol the excessive Christmas deco in November was a LITTLE bit overkill but really this was hilarious!
Sweetest staff ever! When I sent to the rain forest, they took care of my things. When I came back heat shocked and burned because our boat got stuck in quicksand, they went to the pharmacy for me to get medicine. They are honestly the nicest. Also this is definitely the best budget for central Manaus. They have air conditioning, the rooms are safe, it’s not a fancy American chain hotel, instead they arrange everything with so much love…

I can't think of anything negative. Of course, it's not a luxury hotel. But luxury hotels are usually boring.
Excellent staff who were generous with their time. Good rooms with AC and clean showers. Breakfast was basic, but good enough to start the day. I would definitely stay here again if I were in Manaus. Manaus is an incredible city. Location is excellent. Close to city centre. But far enough away to avoid some of the less nice neighborhoods. Right near a major bus stop.
