Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MexicoEverything was very good.
The hotel is an old building, but they have invested enough to keep it well-maintained; the room is comfortable, the breakfast is pretty good, and the staff is friendly. The location is good; you might park in front of the hotel if you're lucky.

United States of AmericaThe mattress in our room was at the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced. The coils were worn out and the mattress caved in the center and it was soft and springy.
The location was perfect for our plans in Plateau and the availability of parking was a welcomed amenity. We had two beautiful balcony/fire escape. It was sunny and quiet and we could easily control the temperature of the room.

CanadaIt could be noisy during the summer or a tourist periods. My room was in the front of the hotel (I could see the street by my window) and I heard my neighboor very well when they arrived at night.
Location of this hotel is very great, just in from of Metro Sherbrooke which is a good place to go everywhere downtown. The quality of the food in the breakfast was perfect.

CanadaDifficult to control the temperature in our room. It was very hot the first night and took a while to figure out how to use the a/c and heater remote. The walls were also quite thin so we could hear our neighbours.
Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower and lots of hot water. Breakfast was tasty and they didn't run out of any food each morning. Very close to public transit and lots of good restaurants.

CanadaThe room was too warm and didn’t have its own thermostat so staff had to regulate from outside. Despite asking 3 times that the temperature be lowered, it was still too warm.
Location and staff were wondering.

United States of AmericaHot water in the shower was temperamental.
Very central and convenient location. Walk out the door and you’re near cafes, restaurants, shops. Great walking, plus the hotel is steps away from the Sherbrooke metro. Our room was a good size for 3 and clean. The bed and linens were comfortable; the twin bed for our child was very firm. The room had a kitchenette and eating area, but it’s not particularly well stocked. Our room was remarkably quiet at night, which was nice as we’d thought our windows giving on to rue St Denis may mean noise. The breakfast options were limited but the croissant and chocolatine were super fresh and yummy.

CanadaThe unpartitioned loft.
I had booked two rooms. Mine (a single) was perfect. The other room was a 'loft' that i booked for 2 couples. In the photos i was sure that the beds were separated by some partitions - i may have been mistaken. So the 2 couples had to sleep in a less than private environment. Aside from that the stay was very good. The breakfast (included) is good (croissants, yogurt fruit, breads), the parking is free. The location is good as well. The staff was particularly nice.

United States of AmericaThe first room we were assigned was problematic. The hot tub was situated in the living room and was taking up a lot of space. The bathroom door was a slide door that didn't shut completely. There were only hangers on the wall, no closet. The microwave was located very high and was difficult to reach. But after complaining this, they re-assigned us to a very nice room in the separate building. It was a nice room with a kitchen. But what was odd was they did not have a real knife to cook. We had to go to the front desk to beg for a real knife.
Large room with a separate seating area. Close to the subway station and walking distance to the Latin Quarter and the University district. There was a small supermarket across the street. A decent bakery in two blocks. The breakfast was not like the one in the motels in the U.S. It was self-served but pretty good quality.
