Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThe pictures of the rooms are far away from reality. Everything is old, sticky and smelly. No lift and huge steep staircase, make sure you are ready to carry your suitcase !
Great location at the heart of concert halls and clubs. Easy access 15min walk from old Montreal. Value for money OK if you have low standards.

United States of AmericaThe entry was dark and needed cleaning. Did not expect no elevator, carrying heavy luggage was difficult for us 60+ year olds. The breakfast was disappointing. The TV did not permit viewing of many of the cable channels. The lamps were a bit rickety and the shower stall panel came apart. but we fixed it.
The staff were helpful and tried to accommodate our needs. The beds were very comfortable and all was very clean. The neighboring ice rink was fun though loud at times. The room was a good size, with 2 queen beds. The hotel was nicely updated in many ways, with some smaller improvements still needed.

GermanyThe badly-lit room looking like a prison cell with semi-clean bedlinen didn't make a good impression. The main staircase with sticky stairs either. The bathroom was outside across the main hall and its standard and smell weren't very encouraging.
The location was fine and the district was safe.

CanadaThere is an ice rink right next to this hotel that can be noisy until midnight. The street noise can be disruptive at night, I recommend bringing earplugs. Breakfast is quite simple.
The hotel staff were very nice. Quite clean. I stayed in Superior room and it was pretty much the same as the pictures they provided on booking.com.

United States of AmericaThis place may have a cheap price tag, but if you include the $40 we paid for nearby parking, it's not a bargain anymore. The location where you're supposed to park when checking in, was hard to find, and the "hotel" itself is located next to a sex shop. Steep stairs lead up to the reception area. The room we booked didn't look like the online pictures which showed renovated, modern spaces. The bathroom/shower was shared, making us dependent on the cleanliness of other guests. One of the bathrooms had a big puddle of water, and one of the toilets didn't flush properly, leaving the contents open for inspection. Our room was small and as hot as a sauna, with a mattress that was showing its age. Because our room faced the street, the sounds of the Montreal night life kept us up until late, and we were woken up early by the garbage collectors. We were glad to only have booked one night and didn't spend too much money. If you expect staying at a youth hostel, this may be the place for you, but calling it a "hotel" is giving it too much credit. As usual, you get what you pay for. PS we didn't try the breakfast.
Very affordable place close to the city center with free breakfast and friendly staff

United States of AmericaBreakfast was not much, toasts with jam or butter.
I had a very large room overlooking the ice skating rink. 2 beds, more than enough room for multiple persons. The bathroom is not up to date but works and is comfortable. The soap and shampoo supplies ate mini bottles but enough for my stay

CanadaThe way the receptionist and staff dealt with my check-out was very traumatic and humalating. One of the staff knocked the door of my room at 12:18 asking me to leave the room and check-out immediately. When I asked for extra 5-10 minutes to finish changing my cloth and final closure of my bag, he entered my room, on changing of my cloth, and insisted to be in the room till leaving! It was a very inappropriate and unprofessional way to "kick" a client who is late few minutes for checking out (12:00 PM).
Location is great for my business trip goal (attending medical conference at Palais des Congres, Montreal). Walk-in distance.
